I became aware of this in July 2023 when I discovered Graham Cochrane and read his book. About a year later I'm seeing this video and I'm loving that others are pushing this idea, too.

I agree with you 1,000% about social media not being the only thing you rely on to make money online. I am a blogger and I blog pretty much daily. Pinterest and KZbin can be a good way to also reach your audience. But, social media takes more time to get going than blogging, at least in my own opinion. It just never made sense to me to post a piece of content on some social media platforms that gets buried in about 3 minutes or less. That is why I prefer blogging.

You nailed it, Jim! That's exactly how I think about it as well. ''It just never made sense to me to post a piece of content on some social media platforms that gets buried in about 3 minutes or less.'' I couldn't agree more and there's so much wisdom in your comment. Thanks for sharing! BTW blogging daily sounds AWESOME! How long have you been blogging?

@@KimJimenez Thank you Kim. I started blogging last September. I now have 230+ published blog posts. My Moody Catholic blog receives anywhere from 80 to 100+ visitors per day and my average position on Google for all of my blog posts is 17. My blog has not been affected in a negative way (SO FAR) by any algorithm updates from Google. I only have about 39 Pinterest pins but it gets about 10K views per month, with 21 followers. I don't get that many people to my blog from Pinterest yet. Twitter is not working too good for me, with something like 43 tweets. But, I don't spend too much time or effort on either Twitter or Pinterest so I can't complain.

@@jimjuris WOOOOOW! These are amazing stats for blogging less than a year, Jim. Congratulations! I'm so impressed! Man... this is why I LOVE long-form content and SEO. What's the link to your blog? I'd love to share it with our community so we can inspire more people to think long-form like you have.
