In about 50% of those snaps, Osa is lined up as a 1T, not as a 3-T. He's not supposed to be big enough to play the Nose, only 282 lbs, but Dan Quinn is obviously getting very creative with his use of Osa.

Osa has a quick first step and knows how to use his hands and leverage. Wrestling back ground had helped him a lot. Hankins and Osa are a hard combination in the middle for any O.L. Hankins has done more to help our I.D.L. teaching our younger guys. Osa was always able to apply pressure as you noted and now he is consistently getting run stops. Chauncey is definitely making the most of his reps too.

I would put him on a level next to Jeffery Simmons , but if you think about it Daron Payne didn’t emerge until his 4th season and Chris Jones in his 3rd season only person you mention that I believe he shouldn’t be compared on level is Aaron Donald because Donald is a special player but osa has shown flashes that he could be top 10

They did a great job scouting him. I remember him at UCLA and had some doubts if he would be this good in the NFL. Osa has worked so hard every offseason to get stronger and improve his technique. Really happy he’s a Cowboy.

OSA looks to have taken the biggest step of his career (so far) this season. And it couldn’t be timed any better! I did notice on the 2nd to last play you had on here that Sam Williams was WAY out of position. He left his area of responsibility to try to play hero ball. THAT is what we don’t want to see anymore! You are talking about a defensive tackle. The Run D is the weakest part of Dallas' defense. He needs to hold the line of scrimmage. Your asking for the cherry on top but anything more than holding the line of scrimmage is bonus and shouldn't be expected or demanded.

@@dantheman973 Oh I'm deadly serious. Maybe you should try to be. He's been dominant. He is PFF's highest graded DT in the NFL ahead of Aaron Donald, Chris Jones and Dexter Lawrence. He's 2nd in the league in pressures with 20 only behind Aaron Donald who has 22, but on 32 more pass rush snaps than Carter. Guarantee he has more than 22 pressures after this week which should bring him to about as many pass rush snaps as Donald has coming into this week. He's also 3rd in win percentage and pass rush productivity (over the likes of Aaron Donald and Chris Jones). Brandon Thorn who is an OL expert is doing a pass rush study right now has Jalen Carter only behind Parsons and Crosby for True Pressure Score while having much less pass rush snaps than either of them. He also has Jalen Carter ahead of Micah Parsons in Pressure Quality Ratio and only behind Myles Garrett. Try watching games next time before you @ me.

I wouldn't be surprised if he's lighter than 282, the way he moved in space off the right edge. Chris Jones can kick outside, but this kid's got more bend and looks faster in pursuit. Looks can deceive, but he's got the arms and legs (length) in proportion for more of a DE, just wider/thicker in the frame, or something. Like James Harrison, where he plays really big, throwing large men around like 40-pound hay bales. Whatever his size, the combo of power and hand-fighting makes him look stronger than 320-pound guards. He's got quite a wing span for a guy under 6'2''. Or he plays and looks like it.

Truth is. 2014, Dallas was good enough to play in the SB. Same in 2016 and same in 2022. Dallas finds a way to loose. Dak vs SF last year. Two int’s Defense held to 19 points. Dak’s offense, 12 points. Sunday will be the same script. Defense is solid. Offense can’t score.

my reasoning is that while the 9ers are great at keeping teams out of the redzones the cowboys are one of the best at getting there. However both struggle at some point in the redzone. Whether it’s the 9ers who are one of the teams that gives up a high percentage of points in the redzone, or the cowboys who are one of the worst at scoring in the redzone (looking at you Mike “fat fuck” McCarthy). I think that the game can go either way but it’s most likely going to come down to limiting mccarthy, scoring in the redzone, how much dak sells, and how often the Dallas D can pressure Purdy. For once i have slight optimism in the cowboys (they’re going to let me down).
