Respect to Hodges. Man was ahead of his time. Good piece Korver.

I just searched on KZbin Craig Hodges career because I grew up in the 80's and he was the Steph Curry of my Generation. Sadly the NBA wasn't ready to take 3 point killers seriously they were considered a "gimmick" player. If Hodgers played in today's NBA he'd be one of the most sought after players in the league. I didn't even know he was the Colin Kaepernick of the NBA as well now I have ever more respect for that man! Craig Hodges was born in the wrong Generation he'd be worth hundred of millions of dollars if he played today! Respect! Great Video and Thank you!

Hodges has a great book out called Long Shot. Lots of stories and background packed into it and it's a pretty quick read.

Korver should have a podcast on the BLM/NBA subject. A white perspective might open more eyes to the truth

It's a complete culture shock to people "like" Kyle. They can not believe these things happen to their, "black friends". Oh it happens everyday Kyle but i appreciate you realizing we have this problem and only us. Sooooo let's hear it, Kyle. What will you do to inspire change bro🤔🤷🏿♂️✊🏿✊🏿i guess you can say Craig inspired Kap

David Stern got him out of the league in 1992 at age 32. 3x three point champion (1990-1992).

This is a lie. The man had been in decline and his final year was awful. That is why he was released. I could understand if he was still productive like Barry Bonds was. But he was nowhere near productive
@Amick44 Жыл бұрын
Well he hardly played in his last year with the Bulls. He was basically a non-factor at this point in his career. While he may not have been that old, he was definitely past his prime.

Clearly a pioneer, however the black community has to reject violence, absence in fatherhood, drug dealing and silence when wrong is done. Coupled with equality of opportunity (Let’s see how your new POTUS does, don’t think Harris is your saviour, she locks more blacks away than applies common justice), if you get these things right maybe, just maybe the future will look good? However I feel Biden has duped you to think he’s all for the left, let’s not forget BLM are at heart Marxists and the mighty US thrives on capitalism. Interesting times ahead as super rich athletes promote a Marxist ideal, whilst gaining a capitalist lifestyle.

Now that’s just facts

You're not wrong on some of that, but BLM aren't Marxist at heart, they want inequality to end. Same for the athletes you refer to. Want the same starting point without discrimination- what people achieve with that is up to them. Also yes need to reject violence, absence in fatherhood, and drug dealing, but understand these are all products of circumstances of lacking opportunity, lack of accumulated wealth due to slavery and even worse racism in the past, lack of quality resources in their communities. In environments where these things are done for survival, to reject them requires that productive attention is given to these communities. Unsure what you're referring to with the silence part.

You think you scored points by pointing out what Black People "should do". But when are you going to take your own kind to task? When is your community going to stop dispensing justice unequally in the court system, giving Black and Brown people 2 and 3x more years than whites? When are you going to tell your banks and lenders to quit discriminating against Black buyers, denying them loans in "desirable " areas, giving then predatory loans instead? When are you going to tell your people to challenge their own racist views and actions? Or are you just going to turn a blind eye to your own people's actions?
