Im a single male. When I cruise I never ever have sex with Crew members. Its not my rule, its simply because im middle aged, bald and a little overweight and cant score a crew member. 😂😅

I imagine that another reason to have to a zero tolerance rule for sex with passengers is that the cruise line doesn’t want to worry about crew members engaging in prostitution.

Lucy brings up the main reason for no fraternizing between guests and crew. It puts the cruise line and the crew member at risk. If you want to exchange emails or whatsapp, go ahead. But no fraternizing in passenger cabins or crew areas. Not even in passenger common areas. Its unprofessional at the very least. Usually its younger and newer crew members who think they can get away with it. One assistant cruise director was accused of stealing from the passengers cabin. As it turned out he didn't but he was flown home at the next crew change port. Being in a passenger cabin while not on company business i.e cabin steward, room service, maintenance etc. is immediate termination.

That story is actually pretty common. I've seen it happen to a couple of crew members . It's way better if crew just sticks with crew.

Sailed with RC twice, i have noticed that the crew are always nice when u speak to them on their off work time. but they never chat for too long, after a 10 minutes or so they always put a stop. they even seems to grow nervous after a short while, like they are being watched

The situation you described is not unique to Cruises, men have to be careful everywhere now, especially with accusations now being made many many many years later, and being judged by social media without any evidence......ends men's careers immediately regardless of actual circumstances.

I can't imagine ever striking any romantic/sexual rendezvous with a crew member or another passenger. I'll flirt and be open to getting to know a passenger better but for me, crew members are off limits. I do a lot of solo cruising but I'll never be "that girl" bc I don't sleep around during my ordinary life, why would I ever devalue myself on vacation? I think it speaks desperation about the passenger if they seduce a crew member.

I worked with a group of guys, young smart professionals. They all went on a 3 day Mexico cruise out of L.A. Unbeknownst to them it turned out to be a gay cruise. At first they were disappointed because being young males they were hoping to score while on the ship. Fortunately for them there were a few young straight women that made the same mistake. This turned out to be a windfall for the guys. They came back looking exhausted. They needed a vacation from their vacation. They had more romance, blink, blink, than they could handle.

Most of the gay guys probably had better bodies anyway. I know it's a stereotype that gay guys work out and have great bodies and lesbians are fat slobs, but there's something to it.
