Thanks for sharing your experience sir. I have a same experience.. in last year a CT in 33kV SS was bursted due open ckt in secondary.Thank god there was no injury . We should always use PPE while we are in switch yard Sir also upload safety related videos 🙏🙏🙏

What will be effect, if in 3 phase supply 1 CT is removed out of 3. Is ammeter will show amp.

Effect will be as below. 1.Ammeter will show only 2 phase Current. 2. But, The Relay will instantly give trip Command to breaker if any of one CT out of 3 CT will be removed/Bursted/or Bypassed by anyway in the Live Condition. 3. Protection System Checks the Balancing of Power Supply. 4. It's not allowed to do so in Practical Practice. Conclusion:- System won't be Charged Relay will immediately give trip Command if it happens so in Live. Hope, my Answers is satisfactory ! Thanks !👍

Moisture Insulation got damage Crack might be occurred due to jurk during any fault. CT would have been saturated due to fault current CT would have been saturated due to open secondary circuit (Loose connection/wire cut.)

Thanking you Sir for your Great Infromation, Sir I am working as Testing Engineer in Saideep Electrical s We Commissioned more than 80 + 33/11kV substation in All over Maharashtra, But our problem is consistently 33kV PT are blasting during first Rain( without any Lightning).Those PT are epoxy resin cast type. We connected mash earthing but it is not done. Can you suggest me what can i do more for get done.

I think it is the manufacturing defect of the 33KV PT. The PT should be hermetically sealed so that water ingress cannot take place. In your case, the PT fails in the first rain after remaining a long time in dry weather condition. Such PT cannot withstand or last long in a climatic condition having more than 80% moisture.

Bhai jo drop out fuse hota hai usko hmesha transformer ki back up protection ke liye use krte hai ...or protection ke liye uss fuse ko high voltage side install kiya jata hai ...ye aapko pta hi hoga jb voltage high hogi to current us time kam hoga transformer ke case me ...kyunki transformer ke dono side power constant hoti hai .high voltage side me is fuse ko use krte hai to iski current rating kam hoti hai yani ki 100Amp tk hoti hai .High voltage side use krne ka benefit ye hai ki current ki rating kam ho jati hai jisse jb circuit ko jb interrupt krna ho to jyada spark produce nhi hoga or circuit bhi safe rahega . Or rahi baat rating to calculate krne ki to wo manufacturer hi manufacturing krte time us fuse ko different voltage or current me test krte hai or usko safe rating provide krte hai ....or hm usko uski name plate ya phir uske manual me check kr skte hai .
