AC Carter is still a basketball King here in Hawaii. Very happy to have turned on the TV in late January and watched a Providence game. Watching Devon, I wasn't sure what I was watching.Obviously he plays with energy. Scouts consider him NBA ready! Now Sacramento picks him 13 th! I ended up watching about 5-6 Providence games this past year. Imua Devon!

Looks like Kevin and Davion are on the chopping block! I like the pick, but of course we all know we need a replacement for Barnes and we need a big that we can put next to Sabonis that has the ability to shoot the 3 and open up the lanes while still being a solid rebounder! We are basically right back in that Fox/Haliburton situation where we have too many guards! Of course if we get rid of Huerter, or Davion, or BOTH then we'll be okay. Especially if we can get a decent big in return to help the physicality down low that Sabonis lacks!

Not chopping block, but trade block. Both have value (Huerter had a tough season and is in many Kings fans doghouse, but the kid's talented). HB's a solid vet but undersized at the 4. He'd be great coming off the bench, though he'd likely be part of whatever the kings do to upgrade that slot. The Kings do need to upgrade the backup 5, but i've got to take issue with your description of Sabonis. Sure he's an undersized 5, but "lack of physicality" is about the opposite of how I'd describe him.

I keep hearing not a great leaper, but he got 42" max vert at the combine!?!?! His standing & max vertical leaps are both tied for the 2024 combine lead, so...is he just one of those guys who doesn't translate that ability to his play on the court? Since Monte McNair became GM they’ve drafted Tyrese Halliburton, Davion Mitchell, Keegan Murray, and now Devin Carter. There’s first three are all good players, with Haliburton and Murray both being above average starters. Stop with the nonsense and get out more.

@@verbalkint4052 Besides Keegan, Haliburton doesn't play for the Kings anymore, and Davion doesn't get used hardly ever, and isn't even the most impactful player on the team. I could amend my argument and just say that the Kings squander whatever pick they get. For whatever reason, they underperform under the Kings. Remember Isaiah Thomas? Now Haliburton? The list goes on. But yeah, you're right. Kings get "good" picks. But only Fox seems to be the one that sticks. Sorry I want the Kings to have GREAT picks for a change. After 23 years of garbage, I'm a little pissed at the mismanagement of this organization.

watching him play he doesn't play like a guy with a42 inch vertical. he doesn't seem overly fast or quick even though he timed well. that's very interesting too me. I don think he will be an all star. he will be a decent back up or solid starter in the league. he looks to be a late first rounder to early second rounder to me
