The story about how SC2 community bullied one caster into retirement - - kzbin.info/www/bejne/rHiskoaEfKqDZ6M

No drama, no controversies, just life goes on, I think it's good to hear stories like this from time to time.

Miss this guy, used to love his SC2 tutorials on youtube too
@Malus1531 Жыл бұрын
Yeah! That's what I was thinking. I certainly remember his casting, but I noticed his absence more when his KZbin channel went dry.

I’m still waiting on his follow up heart of the swarm Terran tutorial T_T

My boy apollo deserves the best. From the memories due to his casting, guides/analysis on his youtube channel and educational streams, he did so much for the community

Apollo and Maynarde were a fantastic casting team. See the 2015 Katovice tournament. Won by Zest.

I’d like to see a similar video on day [9] and see his influence in the game and why he stopped casting
@Omgtired Жыл бұрын
For some reason never liked day9 that much
@psh3384 Жыл бұрын
He and Destiny saw it among the first that it's time to leave the ship and move along. Destiny tried to warn community about impending doom but got laugh at (while day 9 just peaced out and pretended that sc2 newer existed kinda like husky) but to be fair even if they did listen to him they could not do anything only blizzard could.

Had to come back to this comment to appreciate that he made a video about day[9] literally the day after he posted this video and liked my comment

TB and Apollo will in my heart remain the best casting archon.
@couchpotatoe91 Жыл бұрын
Man yeah, that was a super awesome era. MC, Day[9], TB, Apologies, ... so many good memories. At least we still have Tastosis for the foreseeable future, probably even in Stormgate.

I remember watching his tutorial videos back in the days. He was very good at focusing on the specific elements to improve with each race and at which ranking, to constantly improve. He's also very well-spoken and generally such a wholesome and nice guy. I miss him.

I cant believe he stopped in 2016. When I saw the title of this I literally thought to myself that yeah, he was missing from the 2022 finals. I somehow missed he was missing from way more than that.

I loved apollo so much, he made amazing guide to Starcraft 2 for newbies, when following this i was ranking up every season up to diamond.

Apollo won the 2007 world cyber games championship for CnC 3. CnC was a very good game but not balanced and I hated the addition of the Skrin.

I'd love to see a vid on Khaldor. I already encountered him when he was already casting for HotS and I was surprised to find that he actually came from SC2.

As far as I remember he mentioned once in anbinterview that "as far as Starcraft 2 goes, there's no way to get around Tasteless and Artosis". Given that he went to South Korea to cast E-Sports and "only" casted Code A, I felt like he just thought his career wasn't advancing and that he'd rather try being the no.1 in a new and upcoming game (heroes of the storm) than trying to surpass established titans. I also remember him liking that new game a lot and saw that due to its easier approach for new players the viewership was a lot bigger and quickly surpassed SC2. No dramatic story here, he just made a sensible career decision.

As another story idea, would be great to talk about Feardragon. I think it was quite interesting that a couple of years a ago he thought about going making SC2 a fulltime job and decided against it. I have seen him being discussed in a negative light on TL a couple of times and think that really sucks, because he brings a lot value to the premier casting crews
@eggZ663 Жыл бұрын
Yeah don't get the hate for him, I enjoy his casts a lot and he's definitely got passion for the game

legit my first RTS esport i ever watched it was on cable TV. Without that game I wouldn't be playing sc2, I had managed to get just enough money to buy C&C4 (60€) but i bought the newer, more popular sc2 instead.

I felt Apollo and Kaelaris were the 2 best commentators of SC2. Apollo also had that trait that Artosis have; he brings out the best in other commentators.
