In my opinion it failed because of Activision! Treyarch hyped this game up like crazy and it felt like Jason was getting his creativity expanded even more and more, but secretly COD 2020 was falling apart. Then the rumors started Raven steps in then Treyarch immediately after releasing BO4! Looking back it makes since why it failed, Due to corporate greed and not allowing developers to fix or properly finish their game and instead forcing them to build another.

This is a great video I hope you can keep building a larger following. Playing bo4 just feels... off. I hate the super sprinters and okay yeah they make it harder "just get good"... but wait this game is easier regardless. You spawn in and then like 22 seconds later it's round 6 which... I dunno okay low rounds get boring but it also just feels excessively rushed. But it kind of had to cause you spawn in way too op for those rounds. And they kind of had to just give us the specialist at spawn given how much they were already overloading us with steps we gotta complete and things we've gotta learn... Like you said, everything was jumbled up and as much as I can appreciate the beauty and grandeur of some of these maps... I hate them. Somehow I just do. I remember trying out dlc 1 and just feeling like "fuck this I do not care nearly enough to bother learning everything I have to learn to have a good time on this map" and I went back to bo1 and played that instead. The game itself just feels way too wrong for me to feel motivated to get the college education required to so much as play it. I have very little desire to go back and try bo4 again, play the maps I spent some time on or try out the one's I never even bothered paying for. Who knows maybe someday I'll get bored and load it up and realise I was a fool for sleeping on bo4, I seriously doubt cold war 2 is going to have me by the balls...

in my view bo4 failed because they decided to cater towards content creator over casual player and creators were the loudest to complain, but same time I never had these experience never myself. honestly I played bo4 more than any other zombies

I got my Xbox just for BO3 and 4 zombies. I love BO3, I got like 600 hours in. I played BO4 at a friend’s house a few times and never ended up getting it.

Honestly its a different play style but you would probably enjoy it if you give it more of a chance i absolutely couldn't stand the game the first time i played now playing it late last year i absolutely found it to be a good game

The initial idea and direction of many innovative designs of BO4 zombies are good, but the specific production is not satisfactory, but I still think it is far better than the subsequent zombie works. All things considered, its failure at the commercial level is deplorable. I don't know if Treyarch will be able to bring a stunning zombie title like BO1-BO4 this year, but hopefully it will.

I liked black ops 4 the maps where nice and the graphics where good the only thing I didn’t like was the zombies being smart enough to cut you off despite this I always made it to high rounds either way

Bo3 and bo4 sucked too much screen shake, 60 fov. I was too busy working nonstop to care about bo3 enough to get use to how bad it really was

Too much content was the never the problem. You can't say oh Bo4 was too much content then complain about how lackluster CW was with content. The problem with the game summing up its problems overall is it what never fully realized and treyarch couldn't solve the problems during the games development.

To me the black ops pass is what hurt the game the most. black ops 4 was the most gatekept zombies game due to the battle pass locking everything unless you paid for the whole thing. No single purchase, limited marketing, and black ops 4 as a whole was just a mess. Not just zombies. So that didn’t help. Personally I think black ops 4 is a solid game, actually really good. And I was grateful to have four maps at launch, and dead of the night and ancient evil are stylish and great maps to me.

I will give my opinion/reason why bo4 failed and some counterarguments Crashes: The game did crash a lot... on console, why "blue screen" is popular is because a blue screen appears when you crash on playstation. That was the problem, playstation. People played bo4 of the ps4 which could not handle the maps. But pc players like me had the time of their life. I love bo4 and had only 1 crash once and was during a round 100, like round 94 idr. But if people played on pc aka a system that doesnt crash, no one would've complained. Launch: It is crazy how it had FOUR launch maps, all of them original (as in not reused assets unlike vanguard with terra meladick and the archon deez nuts) you had blood a perfect map 15/10, classified a chill map made for casuals...like the gaint, Voyage of despair 6/10 really cool and filled with side ee's and an amazing easter egg and IX which was a 3/10 for me really oring map idrc abt it but I know people think it is a 9/10 so it'll get that score. Overall they were all complete. We were oh so spoiled compared to now a days, look at vanguard and cold war. The whole life cycle had only 4 maps. Look at bo4, FOUR maps at launch and EIGHT at the end, no shity chronicles nacht or verukt that took 1 month to make no actual maps with souls, Dead of the night 9/10, ancient evil 10/10 and Tag der toten 10/10 alpha omega 7/10 all of them oh so good. This game had the most amount of maps(excluding bo3 but tbh I dont really count shi no numa nacht nor verukt/kino as actual maps they were nothing compared to bo4 and prior bo3 maps, shang moon and origins you could say are actual maps so it'll be a tie with bo3 then) Perks: the perk system was stupid and weird but they did not ruin bo4. I dont think bo4 with jug and speed would become a 10/10 game it will be the same game just less perks that you will use because they are indeed crutch perks. Like im serious about this put jug and speed in bo4 and you will see that you will always use those perks and nothing would change besides less perks to use which hinders the game. Gobblugum: the only bad thing about elixers is that they make the hud look like shit, still microstransaction and the free ones were more fair so no one needs to complain about them they are microtransactions stop saying that is good lex, you hate skins in modern cod even though you spent like 1000 bucks on liquid devinium* aka some currency made for lootboxes that drop gum to cheat in a pve mode. We know you spent so much money on it but stop making it look like an actual good thing it is worse than skins because skins are guaranteed. Specialist: Drrpy you do make an amazing point on how every map shouldve gotten 1 specialist, 4 chaos map/ specialists and 4 ether maps/specialists. Easter egg: They were highlighted a lot in this game but in the menu it did say quest which ment that it was the main goal of the game. Style: There is no style like bo4 zombies, an actual amazing style that was unique and really cool, I just think the hud was bad on the ether map. It fitted on the choas maps, but not at all on the ether maps like why are there ancient stones on my ether hud. If they just made it black it wouldve been nice. Actual problem: KZbinrs shitting on subjective things and not looking objectively made this game fail. If everyone loved this game and gave it succes we all know this game would've gotten 16 maps. But they werel like nope no one is playing this so we'll just stop it here. And fortnite aswell. I hope you can agree on some of my opinions Drrpy and maybe say what you dont agree upon.

Saying that BO4's launch maps appeal to hardcore players is wrong to me. Every BO4 launch map is very easy to set up on. IX and Classified are just regular small survival maps and Voyage is a bigger version of that. Blood of the Dead setup is finished on round 1, except for the blundergat, magmagat, and retriever, two of which were in MotD. Somehow four maps at launch is preferable to the one or two maps at launch with other games? BO4's launch maps blow all the other games the fuck out and it's not even close. If it launched with Dead of the Night like it was supposed to, it would've been even better. The REAL reason the game is unloved is because people didn't learn the game, and many of them don't even own the game after switching to PC. The fact that Shadows is loved by everywhere and they mostly act like Dead of the Night is mediocre is fucking absurd. How is Shadows way better than DotN?

@@Drrpy Overwatch, Rainbow Six Siege, and PUBG were extremely popular when BO3 was around. BO4 "failed" because of it's messy launch, and casual idiots thinking Ascension is better than Dead of the fucking Night, the greatest gaming experience ever made.
