@@dve34 It's glossed over in the video. BTC does use power, so miners are incentivized to go to where the cheapest power is. The cheapest power is renewable, hence, most mining is done on renewable energy. But if you cared to know that, you could have easily found it out. But you'd just rather wag your finger at other people so you can feel superior. Well, do you? BTW, having children is more harmful to the environment than most things we do. But I don't hear you saying anyone should stop that. PS. I mine crypto, and I've used the profits to build out a solar farm. So in my case, crypto is literally saving the environment.

Maybe this will help with the global semiconductor shortage as their won't be glut of computers and components. Esp. The extortionate prices of GPU'S. Even the retailers are in on the price gouging now, they go for double the MSRP or more.
