Dear brother Daniel Ventresca. First of all I thank you for the video Resurrection of Jesus Christ and is the best one so far. From a Jewish Man and a Lawyer, I just want to congratulate you. I am taking you on the account of the Torah and Jewish law, that what you are saying is there was more than 2+ witness on the Resurrection of Jesus Christ, and you are stating that Jesus was witnessed by many other people 500+ after He was resurrect. So to say that according to your law degree in Canada and USA and you STATING the account of the Resurrection of Jesus Christ is ACCURATE according to The Gospels of Matthew, Mark, Luke and John. Further more the Death of LAZARUS and his resurrection was witnessed (John 11:43-53) more than 100 people from his village of Bethany, and the Chief Priests and Pharisees council, High Priest Caiaphas and Pharisees Plot by the Council of the Pharisees to put LAZARUS to death again. John 12:10 LORD GOD(YHWH) is TRUE, the Torah is TRUE, the Prophets is TRUE, Jesus Christ is TRUE, According to the Old Testament, New Testament, the Laws of God and Man and what you are saying is TRUE and ACCURATE.

I was raised a Christian, and I was so hungry for God, and after many years of wanting more and searching for everything I could learn ,God opened my eyes and told me he was the one and only, and I found this in the Christian book, and I knew in my heart that the Christian bible holds truth but is not the whole truth if God, then I found this channel, and this show has confirmed my heart. @@lasacrachiesacattolicadels3534, The Christian's bibles are just very badly mistranslated and corrupted versions of the Torah/Tanach, The Real Word of G_d, with a whole lot changed including names, a whole lot added, and a whole lot taken out. Everything that G_d said not to do, Christianity did! Christianity adopted way too many idolatrous and pagan beliefs contrary to what G_d actually said. Christianity is not the group that they claim to be, Christianity is a Wolf in sheep's clothing. Try actually reading the scriptures when G_d gave the Torah/Tanach and the 10 Commandments to Mosche and the Children of Israel 🇮🇱 on Mt. Sinai. G_d specifically told them in no uncertain terms that neither they nor any of their descendants all through time are to NEVER veer to the right nor left of the Torah/Tanach. Never! G_d also told them in no uncertain terms that neither they nor any of their descendants all through time are to NEVER accept anybody else's religion. Never!!! G_d warned us about Christianity thousands of years ago.

Shalom Rabbi, I verified the verses in John 7:53 - John 8:11 ; and Mark 16:9 on wards it is given in the foot notes of KJV, NKJV Study bibles and in ESV it is given in the heading itself "THE EARLIEST MANUSCRIPTS DO NOT INCLUDE" in caps. I admire your work as a critical thinker and doing so much research, bringing awareness of the truth of church history and exposing them. Even though I have read these passages earlier, I have never noticed the footnotes or the heading. I feel as though I was blindfolded horse going only in the direction of the rider( church ) took me. Hebrew roots took me through Torah I am really happy for it. You are taking me one more step further. You are explaining how the Torah is light to the nations. Thank you, G-d bless you.

Why does the Church's "New Testament" Canon open with the five narratives: Mark, Matthew, Luke, Acts and John - all written after the destruction of the Jerusalem Temple; and not with the earlier Epistles, many of which presume the Temple still to be fully functioning? It would appear almost as if the Church had deliberately intended the 21 Epistles inserted behind the Gospels to be viewed as mere commentary, complementing the teachings of the Jesus of the later narratives.

i do accept argument (1) that the content variance in the christian texts betray its human origins and different heresies, but it does not follow that (2) the extremely low variance amongst versions of the tanach attest to a Godly origin. This is simply a case of centralized origin of the composition (babylon) and excellence in the scribe and copier tradition that followed it, right to our day

What caused the Jewish prophetic age to end? The answer is in Luke 21:6~24 with regard to the Temple: “As for what you see here, the time will come when not one stone will be left on another; every one of them will be thrown down....They will fall by the sword and will be taken as prisoners to all the nations. Jerusalem will be trampled on by the Gentiles until the times of the Gentiles are fulfilled." The coming of Yeshua ended the time of the prophets.

I found out that Christianity is another false religion started by Constantine who was a solider and a Sol Invictus ‘sun cult’ worshipper. The Roman Empire, blended “Christian” and pagan tradition to make it easier to convert to Christianity. Also, the days of the week are of pagan origin and cannot be found in scripture. They were adopted by Constantine in 321 at the Council of Nicaea. What do you think?

The whole Tanach speaks about the messiah, who will come and be the savior for Israel and all the nations. In 5. Mose 18:15 It says "God will raise up a Prophet like Moses and everybody shall listen to him." In Psalm 2 It says "Kiss the son." Which son ? The answer is in proverbs 30 "Who hath ascended up into heaven, or descended? who hath gathered the wind in his fists? who hath bound the waters in a garment? who hath established all the ends of the earth? what is his name, and what is his son's name, if thou canst tell?" Its about the son of God, who came down on this earth to die for our sins so we can have eternal life with God and set us free from sin to show us how we should live in the torah. Now take a minute for yourself and read Isaiah 53 and ask God in prayer Who is it speaking about ? Do you have a son ? He will answer your question when you are hungry for the truth. :)

Just the 1 idea of someone (especially a innocent person) being a vicarious blood atonement for your sins, is against God, explicitly in scripture. And on top of that, another concept that God came down to die, is also against Gods nature & attributes from scripture. Because God is immortal meaning it’s impossible for him to die. You can’t have a sacrifice without death, and can’t die when you’re immortal.

Rabi Tovia, I have also studied the New Testament Bible very carefully in the last three years. I also found all the contradictions and modifications in the four Gospels without any possibility to reconcile with each other. This means that all of them are not accurate or at least one of them is accurate (probably not 100% due to small scribe errors and/or partial corruptions). If one of them accurately records the true story of Yeshua, this one may be trustable and could be used as evidence to prove or disprove whether Yeshua is the true Messiah. The others would be inaccurate and should not be taken as the Words of God inspired by the Holy Spirit. If one of the Gospels is inspired by the only God, the Creator of the heavens and the earth, the contents and all the words of Yeshua must be consistent with the Jewish Bible (at least the Law of Moses and all the books of the prophets). Now I prove that Matthew did not make any mistake in quoting the prophecy of Jeremiah in Matthew 27:9-10. The 30 pieces of half-shekel silver coins in the time of Christ are exactly equal to 17 ancient shekels in the time of Jeremiah. This does not fulfils Zechariah 11:12-13, as the Biblical scholars interpret. The correctness of Matthew concerning the prophecy of Jeremiah further demonstrates that the author of the Gospel of Matthew is the true disciple of Yeshua, who was the true witness of Yeshua’s ministry and recorded the words of Yeshua exactly. This is the earliest Gospel written by Matthew, one of the twelve disciples of Yeshua, as demonstrated in Acts of Barnabas. The book of Acts of Barnabas tells us that Mark and Barnabas used the Gospel of Matthew to preach after they departed from Paul. Because of this departure, Paul never had an opportunity to read the Gospel of Matthew. If the book of Acts of Barnabas truly recorded the story of Barnabas, we may conclude that the Gospel of Mark is not the earliest Gospel but a short version of the Gospel of Matthew.

Why didn't Yeshua record his OWN words? Surely he wrote some, for no man could think as well as one who wrote words, and then redeemed them, mulling them over again and again. Why would people hate him so much as to destroy them, yet preserve four gospels written by others? This alone seems strange, yet his teachings were great, and well-praised. Interesting other comments, and thank you for the thoughts, Guo-meng, though it's unclear from whence you derived them.

Supposing that the same person wrote the gospel of Luke and The Acts of the Apostles, it is interesting to note a huge and irreconcilable contradiction in these two "books" regarding Jesus' ascension. In the gospel, chapter 24, Jesus ascends to Heaven the very day of his resurrection. But in The Acts, chapter one, Jesus remains with the apostles for 40 days here on earth before ascending to Heaven.

Just listening to the part discussing Erasmus...and how the Greek manuscripts didn't support a Trinitarian position. No surprise to me. I at least know when the first person to even mention a trinity/triad was. Theophilus of Antioch around or just after the mid-2nd century point...with the familiar trinitaritan form only coming in with Tertullian. Theophilus of Antioch, however was using a GNOSTIC formula..."God/Logos/Sophia." What was there BEFORE him? "Two Powers in Heaven." P52...well, it's NOT like it SAYS it's a set of verses of John. So it could be "Diatesseronic," or even something out of an autograph "Evangelion" that promoted a mixture of Samaritan theology and Hellenicist-Jewish use of Plato concepts by way of Philo. We tend to like to back-project what we've seen taught in churches to eras where things weren't NECESSARILY as we were told by churches. This is why I'm amused to consider that the Samaritan liturgical document Memar Marqeh, if dated to late-1st century, instead of fourth, would actually be a relic of that first, and POST-70 c.e. Evangelion. MORE so than the canonicals that only emerged in four-set form around 190 c.e. It's a simple enough thing to do: go back, read some early church fathers BEFORE Irenaeus...even with possible interpolations, the further back they go, the more GNOSTIC they really sound.

ellenfrancis67 You can believe what you want and we respect that. But there are things in the Torah that we, as Muslims are simply not allowed to believe. Prophet Lut (Lot) did not commit incest Prophet Harun (Aaron) did not help fashion the golden calf - God forbid Prophet Daud (David) did not commit adultery and scheme a murder Prophet Sulayman (Soloman) did not worship idols Prophet Musa (Moses) was not a mass murdering genocidal maniac. This opinion of ours may insult you but these are simply things we are not allowed to believe about the Holy Prophets of God. Of course, prophets were not sinless, but in Islamic view, they were as close to sinless as a human can possibly get. Comparing the prophets in the Quran vs the bible is a real eye opener. Even comparing the nature of God is a real eye opener. Before God drowns the people of Nuh (Noah) in the Quran, the Quran narrates how Nuh preached and preached and warned and warned and pleaded with his people to repent, abstain from idolatry and repent and return to the One True God. Only after chance after chance and warning after warning does God finally drown them all. In the Torah though, Noah doesn’t even seem to preach or warn and God doesn’t seem to give the people any chance to repent, He just drowns them. Noah doesn’t even seem to have a religion. There doesn’t even seem to be a religion at that time. Whereas Islam (Submission to God) is shown as the same universal religion of all the prophets in the Quran. Peace

ellenfrancis67 I don’t have it and I don’t care where it is. We don’t need it. If your Torah and religion is so perfectly preserved why don’t you tell me the name of Holy Moses’s religion, or the name of Abraham’s religion? I dare you to say ‘Jew’, the religion of Judah when Holy Moses was a Levi and Abraham was the great grandfather of Judah. Also, tell me exactly how Holy Moses prayed from beginning to end seeing as he lived amongst you for decades and prayed multiple times every single day. Let’s see the great preservation of your religion. Even if we did have the complete original Torah totally intact today, the only commandment we’d need to follow is Deuteronomy 18:18 which clearly states to drop everything and follow the new commandments coming out of the prophet like Moses when he comes - the one who God would put His exact words into the mouth of. No Israelite prophet after Moses was ‘like’ Moses - Moses who received a fresh law and scripture and was not under the law of a previous prophet. None of them were ‘like Moses’. Rather all Israelite prophets after Moses (including Jesus) were all ‘under Moses’ and ‘under the Torah of Moses’, they weren’t ‘like Moses’. Moses was the ‘Israelite Mountain’ and the light of the Israelites. But God has now sent the world the ‘Moses’ for the nations, the Ishmaelite Mountain, the ‘light of the Gentiles’ mentioned in Isaiah 42 and Isaiah 60 - the ‘Ahmed’ of the Nations who singlehandedly took the whole nation of Ishmael out of the darkest depths of idolatry and has been responsible for more Gentiles and entire pagan nations coming to true Abrahamic Monotheism than all the Israelite prophets combined. The ‘Ahmed’ and the followers of the ‘Ahmed’ didn’t just sit back and keep God to themselves like the Israelites did - happy to call everyone else dogs and swine and heathens while keeping their pure food of Monotheism to themselves. Rather the followers of the Ahmed took the One True God to the heathen nations and taught us we are all equal. It was the ‘Ahmed’ who came out to us filthy pagans with the food of Monotheism and fed us and told us we weren’t dogs, rather we could be righteous and pure too. He faced great persecution tirelessly whilst trying to teach us who our One True God is and digging us out of the dark prison and grave of idolatry. It was because of the ‘Light of the Gentiles’ and his followers that my ancestors from India (who were probably cow-urine drinking idol worshipping Hindus) learnt about the One True God and why I’m a Muslim today. The ‘Ahmed’ and his followers never cried ‘God of Ishmael!’ ever. Unlike the Israelites, the followers of the Ahmed never thought He was ‘their God’ only. Rather the ‘Ahmed’ taught us that we are all equal before our Great Creator and only differ in rank according to our piety and righteousness. The ‘Ahmed’ taught us he is not only the ‘God of Israel’, nor is He the ‘God of Ishmael’, He isn’t even the ‘God of Abraham’. Rather the ‘light of the Gentiles’ taught us that He is the God of Adam. He is EVERYONES God - Blessed is He and Hallowed be His Holy Name Peace.

ellenfrancis67 Well, if you had the correctly preserved Holy Torah that God gave to Moses you’d realise how false that statement was. No, God didn’t just create the heavens and earth and humans as an idle pastime, without any religion - nonchalantly destroying the nations of Noah and Lot without sending prophets to preach anything to them and calling them to repent. Afterwhich God decided much later to just reveal a religion and law to the Israelites only. That may be what you read in the ‘Version 3’ Torah you have today, but it’s not the truth. The original Torah (Version 1) was given to Holy Moses and history testifies that it was lost and destroyed during the invasions of Nebuchadnezzar in the 6th century BC. Version 2 Torah was rewritten from memory by Prophet Ezra during the exile of the Jews in Babylon but this was destroyed during the sack of Jerusalem by Antiochus Epeplianus in 161 BC. Version 3 Torah was written ‘again from memory’ by the Jews. By the time it was translated into Greek by 72 scholars from Alexandria between approx 275 and 150 BC, the Hebrew version had been rewritten from memory twice - and in the process significant changes have been made. Version 3 is the one we have today. As for the changes and corruptions: they fall into 3 main categories: 1) Disgusting lies and actions attributed to the Holy Noble Blessed prophets of God as I alluded to earlier in this thread. Why were these put in? God alone knows why but maybe so that the Israelites would have justification for the way they treated (and in some cases killed) the Holy Prophets sent to them. 2) Complete monopolisation and ‘Israelisation’ of the religion. Now, all of a sudden, there was no religion before Moses, no law or commandments before Moses and God has suddenly become the ‘God of Israel’ on every other page. In complete contrast to the Quran where all the prophets preach the same One True Religion, the Version 3 Torah tells us that Noah didn’t preach any religion, neither did Lot and Abraham and Isaac etc. Moses didn’t preach the One True God to Pharaoh and his people either like he does in the Quran. No, version 3 Torah tells is He is the God of Israel only and it is the religion of Israel only. Everyone else are just dogs and swine and gentiles. 3) Denigration of Ishmael who would receive the final great prophet like Moses of Deut 18:18, the ‘light of the Gentiles’. This would have been clearly detailed in Version 1 Torah but jealously and malice has caused the exchanging of Ishmael's name for Isaac as the son of sacrifice so that we now have God confusedly and incorrectly referring to Isaac as Abraham’s ‘only begotten son’ in Version 3 Torah. Also version 3 Torah repeatedly states with (rather convenient) emphasis that the covenant was with Isaac and Isaac only even though the covenant was made with Abraham and his seed and the sign of the covenant was circumcision and Ishmael was the first to be circumcised. No, rather God has created the entire mankind for a purpose and their has ALWAYS been a religion and a sacred law (commandments) and an active prophet to follow. The universal religion (beginning with the first man - Adam) is ‘Submission to God’ (Islam). Every single prophet (starting from the first prophet Adam) preached this exact same religion which consists of: - Worship of the One True God Only and complete rejection of idolatry - Following, obeying and accepting the ‘active’ prophet of that time and the scripture of that time - Submission and adherence to the commandments/ sacred law active at the time brought by the active Messenger. Prophets would either come to reaffirm the current law brought by a previous Messenger or higher ranked prophets (Messengers) would bring a new law/scripture revealed by God as God willed and that Messenger would now become the active Messenger. - After death a terrifying judgement awaits with God judging us equally based on our faith, works and efforts and rewarding Heaven and Hell as appropriate. The above is the universal religion and it has been there since Day 1. If we had a time machine and went back to any time in history, there would be an active prophet/law that we would be obliged to follow. This is God’s universal covenant with Adam and his seed when Adam was rejected from heaven. Guidance will always be there from day 1 and will come regularly (through prophets). Everyone of us is being tested to try and earn our way back to heaven. God said, "Descend from Paradise - both of you and all your descendants, some being enemies of others. And when there comes to you guidance from Me - then whoever follows My guidance will neither go astray [in the world] nor suffer [in the Hereafter] - Quran 20:123 The religion (named after Judah) didn’t start ‘halfway’ through creation with Moses as version 3 Torah tells us. Rather the same universal religion - Submission and Subservience to the One True God of Adam and Eve has been there since day 1. Peace

Yes, I agree the devil did a number on the NT letters, but even if they were placed into the fire and destroyed, it still wouldn’t negate that Yahushua came. The core of Yahushua’s message survived for centuries. He is mentioned throughout the ancient writings. The very same text that you who are supposedly Jews read. Can you say with a meek and humble heart that you know for a fact the Messiah has not come? Have you been seeking Yahuah Elohiym on the matter with fervent prayer? There is a time when the studying of books isn’t sufficient. Sometimes you have to go down flat on your face and seek the ancient of days. Is that too much work for you to do? After all, it is your eternity on the line. Suppose you are wrong. It’s easy to become distracted with the trappings and deceptions craftily placed by the enemy, hence why the whole world never can agree on anything.

Thank you Rabbi. Those are the words that need to be told. I would only add that one difference between NT and Torah is that the Jewish people treated Torah as the word of HaShem and the church has not treated the NT as the word of God. The NT is Hebrew translated to Greek into English with hundreds if not thousands of voices and opinions added. Many of those changes were made to centralize power and for the purpose of fulfilling greed and murderous desires. In the end, Yeshuas message was to teach people the Tanach and when a person starts to ask questions, like "what would Jesus do?" the answer is read Tanach. Btw thanks for the video suggesting artscroll. I've been reading constantly and can't stop. Thanks for the videos.

ellenfrancis67 i understand why Shem Tov produced a copy of the Hebrew Mathew and thanks to to work of others we now understand that portions of STM are greek translation into Hebrew and other sections are original Hebrew, not translations from greek. Look at greek word used for HaShem, PIPI or pi oita pi oita because the Hebrew Tertragram looks like pi oita. HaShems name is not pee pee We could go back and forth, but Yeshua was Jewish, he was a Rabbi, he had students, he taught in the Temple. To say he or his students or their students wrote in greek is beyond the bounds of surrealism. But yes, what we have are translations. Rabbi Tovia says God did not protect the NT because it wasnt the word of God. Maybe, but its better stated that God did not protect the NT, because the NT does not enshrine a replacement religion. Instead, the NT is meant to lead people to the Tanach. That is 2 billion people who have been lead to Tanach. That said, therefor, the origin of the message is not the important part, its the message itself, follow the laws of HaShem.

How did Judaism copy from Zoroastrianism? They both share monotheism, but the theology and scripture are completely different. The Biblical prophets are nothing like Zoroaster. Akenaten didn't believe in a dualistic reality, so Zoroastrianism doesn't fit with his spirituality.

Earliest Mark manuscripts end with chapter 16:8. And that's the "canonical" version. Is "canonical Mark" necessarily the "Evangelion" written by someone named Mark? That's a separate question, perhaps another day. What IS interesting about what's just before Mark 16:8 is that the "tomb is not empty." It has a Youth in a Linen Cloth" sitting in it...and most likely the same Youth in a Linen Cloth from the time of the arrest. And he's got a linen cloth, even though he's supposed to have dropped it earlier. But...perhaps the interpolation there is the youth dropping the cloth chapters back. OTHERWISE...in GNOSTIC Chrestianity, that Youth in the Linen Cloth had a bigger role. Now, canonical Mark, like the other three, bears the hallmarks of being a version that only arose with Irenaeus. There's still a possibility that "Secret Mark", LGM1 and LGM2 may show an earlier Markan version. Irenaeus doesn't seem too fond of groups that seem to have been started by a Mark, or someone with a Mark variant name...and especially didn't look too happy with Clement of Alexandria's thoughts. So...we don't know if an earlier version, pre-Irenaeus, ended with an enthronement of the Youth in the Linen Cloth. We only know that Gospel of the Hebrews was mentioning the "Risen Lord" handed his "linen cloth" over to someone when sitting down to eat with James. Funny how the Copts think Mark, John-Mark, WAS the Youth in the Linen Cloth...and that the AUTOGRAPH Evangelion was hinting this was actually an allegory for another Mark...Marcus Julius Herod Agrippa. Of course, if the Evangelion first came out just after 70 c.e, at a point when Herod Agrippa (II) had already turned PRO-ROMAN...him being in essence "Mark" or "Paul" still makes the autograph Evangelion more a HERODIAN document with ROMAN BACKING. Interesting how between 70 c.e. and 190 c.e., there seems to have been some narrative additions, and a few other developments, and a few changes of Roman Imperial policy. After all...the guy who brought us the "four-gospel set" admitted he was IN the Imperial Household (Commodus' time?) and that he and his group took PAY from the emperor.

It is very alluring to create the idea of a man with great ethical ideas, then corrupt scriptures to get them to tell the story you wish. No, I want Christians and Jews to come together, but Christians refuse to deny deity to Jesus, and Jews will not give up the instructions from THE Name, that is, our Creator, for the sake of a "god" (aka trinity) in a man. Does it never occur to you that if a man Jesus Christ could be God, then so could any and every other man? Yes, in the eternal G-d we live, move and have our being, and we all get our living at all from this Creator, yet we remain one very tiny portion of G-d, in a VERY small portion of time, though we live 100 yrs, and this does not NEARLY tell or capture the entirety of G-d, as though it could be grasped in a man, greatness included. It is no discrediting of G-d's word to refute claims about a man being G-d, when G-d sent this test to us to see if we would value HIM (Who is not a man) exclusively over ANY other being or ideology. Shame on Christians for holding fast to such doctrine as opposes Jews and Jewish thought on what G-d expects of us, and His identity. Jesus himself told the woman at the well that salvation is of the Jews, yet Christians deny it of them, accusing them of putting Jesus to death. 400,000 variables in the New Testament manuscripts. Pretty amazing. Paul was even less of a man (than Yeshua Jesus) who wanted to build a name for himself apparently. He came up with the great 1 Corinthians 13 love chapter which I truly love, and he made many great arguments to stir our thinking. Yet to change the manuscripts as was done (by WHOSOEVER did it) to the New Testament means the church fathers and scribes deliberately corrupted it for the church's gain, NOT for truth. I am convinced that there are deep-seated problems with the New Testament writings. It's sad. The best any of us can do is live "Do unto others as you would have them do unto you, for this sums up the law and the prophets, to love G-d with all your heart, soul, mind and strength, and to love your neighbor as yourself." (The quotes are not direct, only the gist of what was spoken by Yeshua.) Now define love. We must know within ourselves the truth that blesses people and sets men free, and develop ourselves with G-d's help. Only THEN can we remain pure and unpolluted by the world, though sin may bedraggle us to keep us back from becoming more devoted to the REAL G-d, HaShem (THE Name), and earn praise of THE Same by forsaking that sin. Shalom, and rich blessings to those who follow the truth wherever it leads.

I think Rabbi Singer touched on this but another reason for all the various texts is there were SEVERAL Christian sects at the time, each with their own doctrines and it was important that the texts reflected those teachings. In later years, the better "known" texts were preserved by later generations while anything remotely heretical was more likely destroyed.

Tovia Singer Rabbi, even if the remaining approved Greek versions of the Roman Catholic Church contained a great deal of contradictions, it does not detract from the fact that CHRIST as "a son of GOD" did make His entry then. He and his disciples were able to heal his followers of all manner of diseases. Nicodemus, a ruler of the Jews, allegedly told Jesus "Rabbi, we know that You have come from GOD as a teacher, for no one could perform these signs You do unless GOD were with him." I have read testimonies that Jesus did not die on the Cross. He didn't need to according to the Torah. But Jesus apparently predicted the crucifixion that would occur in which another self-styled messiah was crucified in His place. Instead it has come down in history that Jesus was the one who was crucified. Let us wisely integrate everything Jesus was quoted to have said that does not contradict the Torah, ignore the rest, & love the Most High with all our mind & spirit & strength & soul. For CHRIST (the true Messiah) will very soon complete His divine plan.

The main reason that modern scholars generally accept the accuracy of the Masoretic text (produced mostly from CE 600-1000) is BECAUSE it is consistent with the Septuagint and the Dead Seas Scrolls! It doesn't predate them in it's textual sources. Only 2 parts of the Masoretic text predate the Septuagint or the Dead Sea Scrolls, the song of Miriam and the Aaronic blessing. The Jews at the time of Jesus used the Septuagint as their primary source of the Old Testament. Overall, while I could be persuaded either way, there is more reason to believe that the Masoretic text was developed in such a way that it would remove language that is consistent with the New Testament than to believe that the New Testament was inconsistent with ancient Hebrew Tenach. I would like to see an argument that is convincing to a non-sectarian that it was the New Testament that quotes the ancient Old Testament wrongly, rather than that the Masoretic text was altered to make it inconsistent with the New Testament. Also, every source I find says that the Septuagint was emended to include the whole Tenach by the second century B.C.E. Rabbi Singer has said that only the Pentateuch was completed by the time of Jesus. There are also definitely books like some of Maccabees that talk about the Messiah rising from the dead on the third day that aren't included in the Masoretic text produced in the middle ages. Maccabees also references worship of the Holy Spirit and that the Son of God would teach us how to worship. We also have references to I have no evidence of any existing Hebrew old testament scrolls that include language that is inconsistent with the New Testament. Aside from the two pieces I mentioned earlier, the oldest surviving Old Testaments are the Septuagint and the Dead Sea Scrolls which are not inconsistent with the New Testament and which are the very basis for modern scholars to judge the Masoretic text as being highly accurate.

The message of the New Testament is simply this... Jesus died for the sins of men and was raised for the justification of men. All arguments raised against the New Testament are no more than an attempt to rid the mind of this eternal truth. We are all sinners in the sight of God, and even though this places us at enmity with God he loves this world of men and came to pay sins penalty on our behalf. This is the linchpin to understanding the New Testament. Believe this and the New Testament will make sense, reject it and you will remain ignorant.

@FightPeople I have a dozen translations on my PC. Doing a comparison of each verse (a simple click of the mouse) the sense of the verse remains available to the mind positive to the reality of their need of a Saviour. The people who find faults in the text of the New Testament (and the old) are unwilling to find faults in themselves. Therein lies their problem.

@@briangc6104: NOWHERE in the Hebrew scriptures, given to Moses at Mt. Sinai did God even MENTION the name "Jesus", nor did He tell us that we would need a HUMAN sacrifice (a purely PAGAN ritual!) to die for our sins. This just did NOT happen! And NOWHERE in the Hebrew scriptures did God ever tell us to expect a SECOND SET of scriptures (i.e. the false, pagan NT), since He already told us that the ONLY scriptures He gave to Moses at Mt. Sinai are ETERNAL (i.e. STILL in effect and binding TODAY - a LIVING document!) and that we are NOT to follow ANY other teaching than what is in His Eternal Hebrew scriptures. Christianity IS another teaching, therefore, we are NOT to follow what it says - God's orders! PLEASE do some honest research on how your false, pagan religion started, and you WILL discover that it absolutely did NOT come from God! @@janishart5128 The people who find fault in the text of the New Testament (and the old) are unwilling to find fault in themselves. This is the major fault within Judaism. Its adherents have no inkling as to the holiness, the perfection of Elohym the Creator of the universe. They believe their imperfect life must be acceptable to perfect being. But that is impossible for they (YOU) are asking God to lower his perfection to accept your imperfection. The law was given to reveal to sinners the impossibility of living according to God's perfect standards. Just ask yourself, are you justified, reconciled, at peace with your maker? Do you have peace and joy knowing you have fulfilled all his law? Or are you aware you have fallen short of the glory (perfection) of God.

Judaism as you understand it has no Saviour, but your Messiah has come and given his perfect sinless life to be Saviour of ALL the world, and he IS Saviour to all those who believe (it is of faith not of imperfect works). The desperate need of your eternal soul is to be reconciled to God... you are incapable of bringing that reconciliation about. Messiah Jesus did so by dying for YOUR sins.

Rabbi, we know where you are aiming at but despite your knowledge, your conclusions are much exaggerated. Let me tell you that Homer in his two allegedly works he wrote the Illiad and the Odyssey is a figure that is universally recognised and does not need a presentation. The point is that the two manuscripts we have are from 10 ct AD and they were written in 8 ct BC - so we have 1800 years between the composition and the appearance of something written. Well, nobody so far denied these two were written by Homer. Furthermore, nobody knows who Homer was, there are no historical records about him. However, he is in the history of Latin literature. You have studied a few MS and now you claim to know what all of them contain. From what we know, I have seen the types of mistakes there are - just MINOR such as hemon instead of humon and other such with NO enormous consequences. One answer regarding the mistakes - well, some texts were added a little after - well, why don't you consider that they had also the Holy Spirit. God can use one man or the other. In the Tanach he used a donkey once. What is problematic with you is your attitude. If the God you are worshipping in the synagogue - you are in trouble. However, the Father wants that all those who believe should go through the Son. I suggest you should really reconcile with God. Take Gamaliel's advice - maybe you are fighting God even being well intentioned. As long as there are theological schools, clear cut doctrines, as long as God speaks to us through His Word, there is no corruption like people such as yourself want to insinuate. Tanach is very well written because of the masoretes. But that is good. I am happy for their fantastic job. That only confirms the unity (not uniformity_) of the Bible. You are talking about the Bible bing ok, but the NT is corrupt. I didn't think you would come to the same conclusion as the muslims. Now if something is not in order with NT the whole Bible will suffer. Aren't you aware of that? However, the only fulfilment of the Law was in Jesus. So, if you prefer not to be included in God's grace, it's up to you, but I tell you that you make a biiiiig mistake. God will count every sin you commit every day and at the Judgment. Why don't you follow Isaiah who was extraordinarily in love with Jesus. Well, it seems the most MS you have in the Dead Sea were the book of Isaiah. He describes Jesus like no one does. And God is not a God of confusion, but of peace that comes from order and organization. Behold, the word you quoted the most is from the cross - Father, forget them, for they know not what they do (say in your case). You can't study the Word with this attitude. And for reasons of consistency in the study (hermeneutics) OT is the context of NT, but they together form a book - ONE unitary book. Being a man of letters like yourself, don't offend the memory of our great ancestors - Augustine, Tertullian, John Hrisostom. Listen, for the sake of your image, as a scholar - a book that has initiated a human masterpiece like Church Dogmatics by Karl Barth cannot be corrupt. Am I right? He was the most influential scholar of the 20th century, wasn't he? wouldn't he turn against any kind of corruption, or inadequacy, etc as a huge scholar he was. Or would he rather face the criticism of the scientific community worldwide?

Fulfillment of law does not mean its disappearance, nor the lack of need for it. I can see not throwing out the Messiah's message with the bathwater of the New Testament, but G-d's grace is that He brought us to life at all. He did not HAVE to. We owe it to Him to obey Him and His tenets. It's entirely on us to find out His expectations, then live by them. Isaiah did not know Jesus. Isaiah 53 is about the Torah. Peace comes via obedience. Do you think the whole world should go scott-free from the law, living in lawlessness, without judgment from Almighty G-d? Do you think that the Jews, G-d's chosen people, especially those martyred in the holocaust, should be forgotten, while the lawless ones gain forgiveness? Admittedly, and perhaps unfortunately, I have not studied Augustine, Tertullian, Hrisostom, nor Barth. I therefore cannot comment on their views. I DO know that Jews thru time HAVE BEEN seriously plagued by those believing Christian dogma, and this MUST END. The two religions, Judaism and Christianity, need to reason together, and please the LIVING G-D, HaShem.

They are the writings of poor Jewish people telling the story of a remarkable Jewish man who gave them hope and freedom from the oppression of corrupt religious leaders in his day. The principles he taught exceded any thing they had heard before and it spread through out the whole world. The spirit of love entered their hearts. Its a shame that false christians turned it into a religion. His example and teachings, as told by these Jewish followers whether they got it right or wrong has appealed to people of all nations. Thanks to him the real Torah got spread through out the earth.

MARK it is known as the book of ACTS. Is not the man-made Jewish scriptures end with the book of Daniel? So the gospel of Luke testify to You, who marched through the land in Indignation. You trampled the nations in anger. You went forth for the salvation of " Your People" for the salvation of Your anointed Thorah ?- You struck the head from the house of the wicked by laying bare from foundation to the neck of Your Talmud. So is 1 John's 5:7 for the new wine Must be put into new wineskins , then BOTH are preserved. But no one, having drunk old "wine", immediately desires new, for he says, " The old is better"- ( by so much more Jesus has become a surety of a better covenant ) ...... and the king, when he heard " These words", was greatly displeased with himself, and set his heart on DANIEL to deliver him : and he labored till the going down of the sun to deliver " him" as the book of ECCLESIASTES !!, which are the words of Paul the son of David' s Psalms, king in Jerusalem as of Revelation' 9/11, For:" this burdernsome task God Has given to the " sons of men"( epistles), by which They may be exercised. " And I set my heart to seek and search out By Wisdom, concerning the book of Revelation is all that is done " under Heaven' authority". (( But if you don't get Moses, and you don't believe in the Christ, how are you gonna get the Antichrist ??))
