I dated someone like Common. Our relationship was intense and strong! He said and did all the right things. Made me feel like I was THE ONE, then after a year, he moved out of state. When Common says that he's attracted to powerful women , what he's saying is that he is attracted to women he thinks does not really need him. I think his perception of a powerful woman is that she has her own money, life, identity, etc. And that is true but he sees that as not having to give himself 100% completely to a woman and that he can leave at anytime and not owe her anything or be obligated. And i feel like Common doesn't care if a womans heart is broken from dealing with him. I think he has the "mentality" of " she'll get over it". If what Tiffany says is true then I'm no longer a fan of Common. I love them together in the beginning. He made her so happy and I know Tiffany really liked him. I'm Team Tiffany. I read her book and I know her journey. She deserves the best of happiness. He's heartless to put her through this. He shouldn't play with people's heart. Remember Common you have a daughter also. Not everyone must get married and commit to one lifelong relationship. The only issue is when you project a future and lead someone on, when you give the other person the impression that this means something more than fun, that there is connection. This can also be done unconsciously, it doesn't have to be out of malice, but more self awareness, healing and clarity with oneself can reduce the hurt we cause others because we don't know what we want and what we can and can't offer. Understanding that is definitely part of our individual responsibility and respect towards the people we intimately get involved with is essential. Sometimes it goes down the drain. I like them both as individuals. I think I understand what he means you can’t really say u love someone and it’s not working out. It’s easy to judge people when u not in their position. I was judging him, Lol Maybe someone with more time can find them both. Celebrity couples don’t always work out for one reason or another. At least he’s honest.
