I knew Dr Sarfati at university (I was an undergraduate in different disciplines while he was undertaking his PhD). He has a deep understanding of the facts and knowledge of the flaws of evolutionary theory. I have often wondered how the New Zealand tuatara, a native reptile, is recognised as a survivor of the dinosaur eras, when the tuatara is relatively sensitive a creature. Dr Sarfati's explanations here show me the faults in many secular theories when such creatures as birds and even tuatara survived if the dinosaurs died via a meteorite impact. Well done J.D. !

Excellent points! I do wonder why, if hunting was a major factor, we have not found artifacts of dinosaur bone. It is historically realistic that people would not waste any part of an animal, doubly so for a "prized" catch. Tools, artwork, momentos, or religious/ spiritual items would be realistic uses of the bone. Why have we not found them? Or have we, but we are unable to identify them as having belonged to a dinosaur?

My thought about why they went out is that reptiles need a lot of heat, especially if they're large. The earth naturally changes over time, getting hotter, getting colder. So maybe the planet went into a very cold cycle, and the dinosaurs couldn't handle it, but smaller reptiles could? I'm no scientist, but I thought it'd be a fun thought exercise if anyone disagrees. I'd love to hear what you all have to say :D

Dinosaurs of the larger variety had nostrils about the size of a horse which would have made supplying oxygen to their massive bodies largely impossible unless there previously existed an atmosphere with much higher oxygen and air pressures levels. Atmosphere trapped in amber (fossilized tree sap) has confirmed this was the case. Dinosaurs living today would most likely be smaller to adapt to today's atmospheric conditions.

What about the dinosaurs overheating after there was a lot water leaving the high atmosphere that helped cause the flood. The atmospheric water blocked hot sunlight from overheating dinosaurs originally. Small reptiles as well as alligators, crocodiles and smaller jungle critters are mostly protected from the hot sunlight, or so I once read.

I've been meaning to buy Titans, will do so soonish. Difficult to afford necessities for the moment, but I'll be getting a pay grade increase and raise soon. Living in my sister's guest house, IDK how they'll respond to seeing something from CMI, since they're insanely far left, but eh hopefully they'll get over it; probably should get a few more books and DVDs simultaneously so it's at once. If I can ever afford to be independent again, I'll rebuild my collection of CMI materials generally, but I'll prioritize Titans in the short term.

Interesting video! I especially liked the bit about adult mammals out-competing juvenile dinosaurs. A lack of pictures isn't enough to convince me there aren't still a few dinosaurs hanging around somewhere. We thought the Wollemi pine was extinct for like 100M years, and it turns out there was a patch of them in a national park, only a couple hours outside Sydney - ie. near a highly-populated area, in a government-maintained park, and unlike animals, trees don't even *move,* and we missed *those.* We've also found other animals we thought were extinct before. So while I won't say I definitely think they're still out there, I won't rule it out either.
@aerialpunk2 жыл бұрын
@Travis Lucas I hadn't heard of those, neat! And yeah, we've missed enough things that I just think it's still a possibility (though, there probably still wouldn't be very many of them, if they did still exist).

It could be that dragons were primarily lowland swamp creatures similar to alligators, and their habitat was severely reduced by the flood causing more extinction pressure. They probably struggled from day one after getting off the ark because they could not adapt to the changed world. maybe we will get that history lesson when we meet the Lord. I suppose it is not impossible there is a dinosaur or two alive today due to many remote regions in the world. However, it is most improbable.

I believe that the great flood did not cover the entire world. I'm sure that Noah thought it was the entire world was flooded, but I'd say not. Therfore some mammals survived and then evolved and changed through time!
@spatrk66345 ай бұрын
that makes sense. floods are most common natural disaster. and considering that majority of population lives near water, its not unreasonable to think that a village near sea or river would get hit by flood that wiped the village and people in it thinking its the whole world gone. that village would have been their whole "world" that just got wiped. some dude probably had a raft and put some goats on it and myth of noah flood developed over thousands of years

I don't buy the asteroid impact hypothesis. In that period of Earth's evolution, the atmosphere must have been much denser and higher pressure. None of those huge flying dinosaurs could fly in today's atmospheric pressure. Impossible. There also might have been much more water on Earth. As Earth lost its atmosphere, then its water, dinosaurs died out from being too heavy for Earth's gravity.

Day is not the same as 24 hours, not in the past and not today. The earth is not 6,000 years old and the Bible does not teach this. Hebrews 4:9-10: "There remains, then, a Sabbath-rest for the people of God; for anyone who enters God’s rest also rests from their works, just as God did from his." This tells us that the 7th day has not ended. Thus day 7 is a long time span, thus day 1 to 6 must be a long time span. Each believer are to enter into day 7. Also there no "evening and morning" for the 7th day. As day 7 as not ended. Biblical Hebrew has a limited vocabulary, with fewer words compared to other languages, such as English or Spanish. This means words often have multiple meanings determined by context. Day - yom is commonly rendered as day in English translations, but the word yom can be used in different ways to refer to different time spans thus literally is: Sunrise to sunset Sunset to next sunset Time period of unspecified length. (long time span ). We use the word day the same today: In my grandfather’s day cars did not go very fast. Deuteronomy 33:15 and Habakkuk 3:6 "ancient mountains". Gen. 2:4 “in the day that the Lord God made the earth and the heavens” The events of day 6 can not have happened in 24 hours. Have you entered into the 7th as Hebrews 4:9-10 asks you to? Creationism does not equal young Earth. There are many Old Earth creationists.

Wollemi Pine is touted as a 'dinosaur tree', so that might be one example of an extant dinosaur. Then there are living fossils, why aren't these considered as dinosaurs, crocodiles, sharks, etc, all represented from the alleged age of dinosaurs If God knew that dinosaurs would go extinct, why would He send them to go on board the Ark?

There were massive eruptions of undersea volcanoes, and then the weather became cloudy and foggy and dusty, making it difficult for sunlight to reach land and sea. The plants and algae didn't survive, and then the land animals and the sea animals didn't survive. If undersea volcanic eruptions had continued for 100 years, there might have been no life left on Earth.
@jackwt73402 жыл бұрын
And it's possible that most of the time there was no life on Earth. Let's say that in a million years there are only 0.1 million years of life and 0.9 million years of no life. The dinosaurs died off within 100 years of volcanic activity, and there was no life on Earth for the next 0.9 million years. During that 0.9 million years, dinosaur carcasses were covered in dust and fossilized.
@jackwt73402 жыл бұрын
There is another case. After all the life on Earth had gone extinct, new life immediately resurfaced on the earth. New creatures can destroy the remains of animals from a previous era. If new organisms appeared on the Earth immediately after the extinction of the old organisms, the fossils of the old organisms would not be preserved. This means that fossils on Earth do not have a complete record of all the eras of life on Earth.
