White Muslim americans and britain should enumerate their numbers, and create their own Muslim tribe. If you are steadfast upon Islam, loyal, then you might become the future leaders. Also it will help many pagans whites become Muslims as they will find relations. Make a Shura', bring 'Abdur-Rahman McCarthy, Yusuf Estes, Abdur-Raheem Green, Yusha Evans, Saajid etc. Also marriages so that your numbers grow and you become more than the polytheists. Then a time will come when you are recognized as a new tribe. If the dollar collapses and civil wars ensues, your tribe could become the leaders of white america as christianity will be deemed as a traitor that only serves the juicies.
@Ibn_Abdulaziz1405
@Ibn_Abdulaziz1405 4 ай бұрын
Because leadership of Islam in America will go to the most God-fearing, effective and organised. Also the white christians will come to terms that christianity failed and could protect the chastity of the women and that zionism was the highest they could reach and tgus traitors to tgeir iwn people, and thus inclinations to white supremacy will be checked if your Muslim tribe exists that is solving all the woes they have. Also close contqct with the gulf Arabs. Why they havent helped you witg this is strange to me. That's where the american white Muslim tribe comes in, many young men will join you. The african americans and latinos will also make their own Muslim tribes to differentiate themselves from the polytheists, and you all working as brothers will become a Da'wah in of itself. And you will become the future leaders of America, use its equipment to restore the Khilafah and then spread Islam to the east.

@@vmat6684 I don't think there is any religion less violent than islam. Islam is a religion (the true religion) of balance and justice, which, in turn, gives you (the ultimate) peace in your soul and your environment. Violence is never justifiable in islam, Allah has already drawn the limits regarding the actions that one can do to stop corruption and evil. For an action to be called violent, it has to transgress the limits of what The Creator has set. He is the only Source of morality. One can never call a perfectly good action as violence, since it is completly justified by being permitted by The Creator, it has no other purpose than to supress evil in then best manner possible for all as dictated by The Creator. I challenge you to provide us here any less violent religion. The thing is you wouldn't even be able to describe accurately what violence is without using God in your sentence. Which, in turn, requires you to know who God truly is. And since you don't seem to know what islam truly is about, you then don't know properly who God truly is, and therefore, you wouldn't be able to succeed the challenge. But I keep an open mind, so the challenge is still there. The question is : are you gonna run away from it?

@@mezenasuga The Arabs expelled the Persian Empire from Iraq and the Byzantine Empire from the Levant. Most of the area of the Levant was inhabited by Arabs before Islam. @@عبدالله-ن6ه2ص Yes the Arabs expelled other foreign empires and brought their own foreign empire to the Levant. Most of the Levant was not inhabited by Arabs before Islam, only part of it and the Semitic languages are in fact different languages, not just dialects. By the way languages are not studied by archeologists, but by linguists. Yes there is obviously similarity between them because they're Semitic, but they're still different and Arabs colonized the others. According to your logic you could say that Israel is not colonizing the Arab Palestinians, because Hebrew and Arabic are both Semitic.

The problem with Dr. Umar is that his ultra-black nationalist mindset is making his view of the world completely out of touch. I'm a white Muslim (revert), and one of the best things that Islam did for me is that it took that race/ethnicity/nationalism weight off my shoulders. I don't need to link myself to a certain color anymore. I feel unity with my black Muslim brothers, and I feel it every day in the mosque.

I can't explain it, but it's really relieving for me to get out of the racial community bubble that's heavily emphasized here in America. It was the character of the Muslims that our people interacted with, which made our people invite them to the whole West Africa. Our people were just fighting amongst ourselves. Maybe his own black religion is the one in America. I don't believe he will be able to fit in the African culture religion.

Okay bro, but let's not act like the diyn came along and solved all our infighting in West Africa. If anything, the rise of the Sahelian enpires was a response to the frequent slave-raiding of Moors to the North, and there was increased jockeying for military and commercial superiority during Mali and Songhai's hegemony. Islam was indigenized by West Africans, and is not an "Arab" religion: that is a fact. But Uthman dan Fodio wasn't fighting against kafiruun in the prelude to the Sokoto Caliphate. This idea that Islam came and lifted our peoples out of senseless warfare is unhistorical and reductive, not to say insulting to our pre-Islamic ancestors. Improved commercial relations, and the advantages of a literate culture for the bureaucratic management of empires, were the main social-political enticements of Islam for the 'Western Sudan'--not the desperate cultural situation of the Quraish from over a century before.

You have a fairytale story contrary to how Islam was brought to East Africa or West Africa. I see why black Americans are starting to turn away from Islam. There isn’t really any productive dialogue. It is all the same rhetoric Islam is good Muslims are good. Did Dan Fodio spread Islam in Northern Nigeria through the sword? Even the Songhai kingdom in West Africa jihad on non Muslim ethnic kingdoms in the Sahel region stretching to contemporary Ghana. Blow smoke up people ass who aren’t well read. Dr. Ibrahima Dhioub a leading Senegalese scholar at Shaikh Anta Diop University in Dakar, Senegal specializes on Islam spread in the senegambian region. Even the woloof people came to Islam through Muslims expansion into their lands. It is a revisionist history to paint muslims in a benevolent positive light. Ignoring the despicable egregious actions of Muslims. The biggest recorded slave revolt happened under Muslim rule the Zanj rebellion in Basrah, Iraq under the Abbasid caliphate. These mostly African slaves were severely mistreated which led these slaves to revolt. Did the Abbasid caliphate change the conditions of these slaves in Basrah forcing them to work the marshlands in Basrah. I don’t really take the Muslims seriously . It is all revisionist history. I have no interest in fake camaraderie. Black American Muslims need to focus on their own issues

What he said when I saw him is person is that when he was in a cave where Africans were captured as slaves and he felt the spirit of his ancestors in the cave, he said there was nothing in Islam that explained it. However, even in this, he is wrong. Islam speaks about jinns and Bilal Phillips speaks on such experiences in his book "The Fundamentals of Tawheed." Bilal ibn Raba, Mansa Musa, Sunni Ali, the people of the Mali and Songhay Empires, the Moors in Spain, El Hajj Malik Shabazz, Muhammad Ali, Imam Jamil Al-Amin etc. were examples of Black people who, not only were Muslim but did not forget the struggles of their people and they did not become Arabized. With respect to dress, every culture has their own style of dress that falls within the Sunna. What Muslims wear in Pakistan is not the same as what Muslims wear in Africa but it all falls within the Sunna. It kills me that you have a problem speaking Arabic because you don't want to be associated with the Arabs but no problem speaking English though the English definitely colonized and enslaved Black people! He is not thinking this thing out and I think it has to do more with the fact that, although his father was Muslim his mother wasn't and he grew up in a non-Muslim society that, upon the rise of Islam among African-Americans, deliberately pit Afrocentrics against Islam out of fear of its increase amongst them due to Islam's stand against oppression.

Just as some Black people's mother tongue is English, like African Americans, because their ancestors were forcibly brought to the U.S. and English was imposed on them, the same can be said about Arabic for Black Arabs. There is no such thing as a true Black Arab; their ancestors were brought to the Arab world through the slave trade. In the Arab world, the term 'Abd' is often used to refer to Black people, meaning 'slave.' This reflects a legacy of slavery that erased their original languages, particularly in regions like Arabean Peninsula, North Africa and Sudan, where Arabic was forced upon them. Since the author is systematically removing my answers, I will update this post and paste the sources here: 1. "Le génocide voilé" by Tidiane Ndiaye 2. "Slavery in the Arab World" by Murray Gordon 3. Some of these names are beloved of Allah and some of them are taken from the Quran, it’s a good thing to change it, because good names have much impact on the person. It’s not mandatory but changing the name will instantly identify you as Muslim. Besides many Arab/African Christians have Biblical names, which is nothing but the influence from the greek language, those are not the actual name of the biblical characters. Yet I do not see them resent it.

I am Arab, and yet that's not a guarantee that I can fully understand or appreciate the Qur'an in all its glory, since Quranic Arabic (classical) is a lot different from MSA (modern standard Arabic) and colloquial Arabic. Classical Arabic has many constructions that doesn't exist in other Arabic forms and it has a very rich vocabulary that even educated Arabs often need to look up words in the dictionary.

Dr Umar Johnson did the right thing. We Know Jesus is Jewish, Buddha is Asian, Hindu is based on Indian culture, Mohammed is Arab. Therefore it makes sense to worship a God who originates from your region. Non-black people forced black people to abandon their gods and adopt their own God. Am glad black people are waking up to this and returning back to their senses.

Emotional intelligence will make you accept Islam but when you start being a racist then you will find mistakes in Islam. God the Creator chose Arabic as the language He will reveal His last revelation, however Islam teaches to help everyone regardless their skin colour. Islam says we all the same humans from Adam and Eve and we should not focus on skin color problems but instead we ought to emphasise on real issues facing all the different communities from abuse, poverty, economic inequality, racism, narcissistic toxic traits, disbelief in God, and all the major issues like drug and alcohol addition.

“Race” isn’t a thing, sorry to inform you It’s a made up social construct What IS a thing is an ethnic identity, culture, native languages by native speakers The idea of race came from the devil and completely erases the Islamic concept of the world being a place where Allah made different looking people with varying backgrounds and cultures “so that we may get to know one another.” The “mistakes” are never in Islam. The mistake is the person with believing in the false idea of “race.” Arabic is a language and it’s irrelevant that it stems from or comes with the Arabs. It’s funny because I was dwelling on this exact same thought today. I figured that it only makes sense that Muslims around the world should be strongly encouraged to learn Arabic because it can, In Sha Allah sometime in the future, work as a universal language for Muslims in order for the ummah to improve their understanding of the Word of Allah and to be able to appropriately communicate with each other.

As a practicing black Muslim. I can say that even in my child I’ve seen prejudice from teachers at Sunday school and from the community many who were Arab or Pakistani. The best way I can describe the experience to someone is being treated as a subcategory of Muslim as oppose to being treated as a brother in Islam. I’m a born Muslim. But I’ve seen that white ppl are embraced far more by the community mashallah. I would never leave Islam for this. And I’m a grown man now and I hold no grudges and love all my brothers and sisters in Islam I treat them with the respect they deserve in Islam. I say this so perhaps some of the next generation of kids don’t feel this. Go out of your way to make that black Muslim child feel included and loved and respected at your local mosque greet him with salaam and a smile talk to him the way you would your people because he is your people. All Muslim should be treated like this. There is a real problem that really exist. Jzk

Assalamu Alaikum brother, Jazakallahu Khair covering this topic 😊. I think this is a great example of what happens when one does not prioritize gaining and growing in their Islamic knowledge. Because if this was the case, Dr. Umar Johnson (Allahu ‘Alim) would have not been likely to leave the Deen. I will say, being a Muslim of African American background, that his experiences are not too unfamiliar. I have observed people from certain cultures who equate their piety or their Islamic “legitimacy” on the bases of their ethnicity alone (i.e. for example, a sister who doesn’t observe hijab will get plenty of Salaams because she’s Pakistani/Arab/Turkish/etc. but a African American/Caribbean adhering to full hijab will still be asked “oh! Are you a Muslim?”). Additionally, as Dr. Johnson stated, there is sometimes a lot of hesitancy when dealing with specific issues/matters that involve certain demographics in our local Ummah, as opposed to other demographics that usually are from overseas - it also gives the impression that dealing with solely overseas issues is the only “legitimate” Islamic cause while all other issues are separate. I think a remedy to this could be in our communities realizing that the Ummah is not only for specific ethnicities. The Ummah could literally be anywhere there is a Muslim. I believe the racial/cultural categorization of the U.S. has directly contributed to this idea and image that Islam is “foreign” and that it only arrive with the previous generation of Muslim Immigrants, hence the attitudes of some people in our local Ummah. However, once we realize at heart level that Islam is meant for ALL nations and tribes this shouldn’t be an issue InshaAllah. With my journey so far, Alhamdullilah I have the privilege of being so in depth with my knowledge that instances like the ones above do not sway me - and InshaAllah never will. I always say that as long as you are the best Muslim you can be, everything else shall follow. Like the brother said, Islam didn’t come to eradicate your culture but to beautify and bring out the best in our cultures. So if you are a Muslim Indonesian woman, you will be the best Muslim, the best Indonesian, the best woman there is under the shade of Islam. I think if Dr. Johnson realized that, he would happily return to the Deen InshaAllah.

Wa ‘alaykom salam Honestly it really depends on where you come from. I was born and raised in France, and the vast majority of Muslims were Africans ( North Africans or sub Saharan). No one would ever reject their legitimacy to be Muslims, and everyone had their own culture. I assume some African American are trying to reconnect with their roots, after being deprived of it. Thus they believe they need to adhere to the religion of their ancestors As Allah سبحانه وتعالى said in the quran in Surah Al Baqara وَإِذَا قِيلَ لَهُمُ ٱتَّبِعُوا۟ مَآ أَنزَلَ ٱللَّهُ قَالُوا۟ بَلْ نَتَّبِعُ مَآ أَلْفَيْنَا عَلَيْهِ ءَابَآءَنَآ ۗ أَوَلَوْ كَانَ ءَابَآؤُهُمْ لَا يَعْقِلُونَ شَيْـًۭٔا وَلَا يَهْتَدُونَ ١٧٠ When it is said to them, “Follow what Allah has revealed,” they reply, “No! We ˹only˺ follow what we found our forefathers practicing.” ˹Would they still do so,˺ even if their forefathers had ˹absolutely˺ no understanding or guidance?

@@a.b4531 MashaAllah, TabarakAllah that is a great point. This demonstrates how important it is to know ourselves and be totally honest with what is permissible and impermissible by Allah (SWT). I think that’s the jihad of many African Americans too, where we have to choose from literally worshipping the practices of our ancestors for the sake of connection or committing to the Haqq. There’s a great book called “Black Culture and Black Consciousness” by Lawrence Levine that I recommend for this topic 😊. It’s an eye-opening read that explores the development of African-American culture in the States.

HE guides those whom HE wills is true. It doesn't mean that HE simply leaves some others to go astray. The primary factor is your interest or willingness to know and learn about the creator, the purpose of creation etc. even it is at its lowest level. People hardly use the god given intellect to reflect about the purpose of creation, who is God, what are his attributes etc. Many of them simply listen to some story tellers in the churches or elsewhere and carry on with their lives. You can take the cattle to the lake but they should their water. "You surely cannot guide whoever you like ˹O Prophet˺, but it is Allah Who guides whoever He wills, and He knows best who are ˹fit to be˺ guided." The ones who are "fit to be guided" are those who take the initiative and a real wholehearted willingness, however little it may be, to learn about, understand and follow the CREATOR.

The point that Dr. Umar is trying to make may be missed in this video. The issue is that the Muslim community on the ground in daily practice and organization does not address the problems of the Black community. Dr. Umar is correct on this issue. On the other hand, the ideological architecture of Islam is the most useful to address the problems of the Black community! Learning the Arabic language should not be a problem. Even from the African point of view, the Arabic language is the Mother tongue of millions of Africans; the Sudanese people, a predominantly Muslim people in Africa, immediately comes to mind. Dr. Umar should know that the Generous Qur'an teaches that All Languages are from Allah! In this sense, all languages enjoy equality in the sight of Allah. There are so many other things I would like to say, but it would make this comment far too long. The issue is this: those of us in America of African descent should not leave Islam but take control and make Islam work for us and the Black community at large here in America! And this is what Muslim leaders and scholars of African descent must do now and in the future! I am Muhammad Al-Hashimi, PhD, a Muslim of African and Indigenous Peoples' descent born in America.
