When in actuality the whole mindset set thing wasn't introduced until three arcs later and really Toriyama and Toyotaro wanted to stretch that fight out. They wrote themselves into a corner with the Goku Black Arc regardless of the version.

I wouldn't also use the Grand Priest or Zeno as examples since Zeno is Zeno and the Grand Priest is one of the top 5 strongest in the multiverse so he could beat it out by default.

Also because it wasn’t actually a hakai in practice, it was energy so condensed it that it could have the same effect as hakai rather than pure destruction energy like beerus’ or even toppo’s.

That's just pure headcanon, Goku literally says Hakai and apologizes to Beerus for using such a technique. Nowhere is it stated he used some different version of energy manipulation that just mimics Hakai.

Because no one can do hakai other than G.O.D's because it requires Hakai Energy to perform Hakai Techniques. Just like how you need God Ki to perform Ultra Instinct and Master Roshi only mimicing Ultra Instinct

Otherwise, why would Beerus, a person who can SENSE DIVINE KI ask if what Roshi was doing was ultra instinct? It would be easy for Beerus to think "Oh he's a mortal without God ki so clearly he's not using what I think might be ultra instinct" but he didn't, he had to actually ask and get confirmation from Whis that despite what it looks like, it's not actually ultra instinct.

Immortality granted by super Shenron can reverse the destruction caused by Hakai. Beerus and Whis both confirm that they have alternative means of dealing with immortals.

Goku didn't fail, Zamasu grabbed Mai and put her in front of him, Goku doesn't murder his comrades, same as how he refused to throw the spirit bomb til Hercule and Buu got Vegeta out of harms way

That's not why it failed 😂 did you even read the manga. It failed because 1)He stopped it himself and 2)Hakai doesn't work on immortal beings anyway. Beerus literally confirms that it wouldn't have worked regardless of if Goku stopped it or not.

@@steel_unkindgaming8287 it was only APPEARING to work, but Beerus and Whis confirmed themselves that even a GoD with Hakai cannot kill an immortal being, they instead use a different technique. So even if Goku had "finished" his Hakai, Zamasu would have likely just rematerialized, just like what happened in the anime when Trunks kills Zamasu with the spirit sword. He completely erased Zamasus body but he just comes back anyway.
