Goku Black Sean Schemmel has made it clear that they want to avoid pronouncing Japanese words as much as possible. During the Frieza arc, when Goku said "I am SON GOKU" that was a pretty big thing that Sean needed permission for. I doubt they're going to mix the languages.

There's no evidence for how it works yet, but my head canon so far is the hakai technique is not a move exactly, but it's a loan ability from Zeno given only to haikaioshin to "delete" things out of reality. Basically, it's a borrowed power from Zeno they're only authorized to use on things in Zeno's universe he would not want in his universe. So, in theory it shouldn't work on angels or Zeno himself, since they're excluded from creation level beings, in the same way the tournament outcome won't affect them. But again, not much of any evidence for any theories yet.

The Hakai technique is only used by those with the title "destruction". Beerus could easily wipe out Goku and co using the Hakai. Thats just what those titled destruction of a Universe does However, I believe that if beerus tried it on someone equal to destruction or higher they would just absorb the blow depending on how strong that opponet is they may tear someones attire like Goku did Toppo when he absorbed ssjbkaioken kameha attack. However, If Beerus tried Hakai on say someone like zeno they may swat it away like a ki blast.

Hakai works on beings that are weaker than Beerus, and MAYBE it could work on beings on his Level; however, the Technique is extremely Haxed as it completely wipes Targets from existence, and can even affect souls and Ghosts. I personally believe that Beerus could've Killed immortal opponents such as future Zamasu and Majin Buu. but of course it wouldn't work on Zen-Oh, Daishinkan, or Whis. and I think it would work on Goku considering Beerus was threatening to wipe Goku out with the technique in episode 77. so yeah its extremely powerful and Badass, but CAN'T affect beings significantly stronger than Beerus.

Think about the fact that whis is both stronger and faster than beerus. in the time it takes beerus to raise his arm whis would already be behind him ready to knock him down. we also know there are angels stronger than whis, and zeno is the strongest of all. the only way beerus(or any god of destruction for that matter) could kill any of them would be if he caught them off guard. And even if by some miracle he successfully killed zeno with hakai, theres still the possibility of the angels rewinding to before zeno gets hit and instead destroy beerus on the spot.

Since hakai completely erases what ever it touches from existence, like beerus explains in the manga (chapter 70) and is shown several times in the show to do so, it means that it destroys on a molecular/atomic level; this means that the DB characters if powerful enough can temporally resist molecular/atom destruction (or dispersion) and destruction on a spiritual level since hakai also does that, but give in and be killed if the attack is powerful enough to easily bypass their defense or lasts long enough to do the same as we saw with goku before the TOP.

I think the reason this technique seems so powerful is because of the way it destroys. Every technique we've seen is met with a struggle in which the target holds it off for a while and eventually gives in. The hakai however instantly seems to just dissolve or erase the victim.

In the anime, Goku believes it cannot destroy an immortal, which Whis then indirectly supports by saying they have a sealing technique to deal with Zamasu. In the English dub of the anime, Vegeta comments that even if Zamasu's physical body could be destroyed by Beerus, Zamasu will still live on in his ether form. Which is further supported when the man’s body is destroyed and then he fuses with the universe. All that concludes that hakai can destroy things within his power to destroy not just anything

It takes focus to use it, and it is probably a given that it was taught to them by the Angels themselves, since they are there to keep the Gods of Destruction in check. Setsuna Gundammeister I can totally agree with this statement. It could be right and I could be dead wrong! However, we know that Gods of Destruction are trained, and not bred. So at one point, they would have considered themselves mortals as well. So, how do they achieve God status? By being trained to surpass their limitations and 'ascend' to a power above that considered mortal. Now, them being considered as Gods is great and all, but if they are replaceable, that means that the God title is just a title alone (hence why the Angels of each Universe won't be destroyed since they're not replaceable). Given the right amount of training and having a body, mind and spirit that can surpass their limits, certain people can become one. So at what point can one person train to become a 'God'? I'm not saying someone like Tien could train to be a God given the short life span a human faces, but what about other beings? Which leads to the Hakai technique: Gods of Destruction are taught to destroy, but to use that power they have to be at a power level that ascends the person or object in front of them. The status of being a God is just a title, but being a God you have to have power, which to use the Hakai you have to have a certain power level condition, and not just be seen as a God itself. If Goku became a God of Destruction, and since he ascended to the power of that considered heavenly already, Whis himself could train him to learn Hakai, but you have to have accepted the title as God for the Angel to train you. So having the title as a God means learning it, but to use it requires a power level of a so called God, and hence why the Omni King could not be destroyed by it since he is just too powerful. One thing I can't rebute is if what if it was used on another God of Destruction, which if it came down to it everything I said could be rebutted since we don't know that yet. It's all guess work, but in the end, you could be right!

Alex Ortiz 1)I think the hakai technique is exclusively granted to Gods of destruction meaning not even whiss can use it. and if for some reason a god of destruction were to lose the title of God of destruction they would also lose the ability to use the hakai technique. 2) I don't think the hakai technique has anything to do with power levels meaning a god of destruction can use the ability to destroy ANY THING he or she deems necessary to destroy with some exceptions for example I don't believe he or she is able to use the technique on other gods of destruction, any of the gods of Creation, any of the angels like whiss, and of course the Omni kings. that is my take on the hakai technique:)

The thing that is so special in the "Hakai" technique is that it can destroy souls so that there will not be an afterlife for the individual. Like think about all other times that a Kai or Kaioshin has died they would just get right back up with a halo over their head and continue existing like nothing had happened. When Beerus used Hakai on Zamasu it was like being erased from existence completely.

there's no evidence to suggest it can work against anyone of note but there's no evidence to suggest it can't either. just because it's been used on lower level people doesn't necessarily mean it can't be used on higher level either.

Seamus Dillane 1)I think the hakai technique is exclusively granted to Gods of destruction meaning not even whiss can use it. and if for some reason a god of destruction were to lose the title of God of destruction they would also lose the ability to use the hakai technique. 2) I don't think the hakai technique has anything to do with power levels meaning a god of destruction can use the ability to destroy ANY THING he or she deems necessary to destroy with some exceptions for example I don't believe he or she is able to use the technique on other gods of destruction, any of the gods of Creation, any of the angels like whiss, and of course the Omni kings. that is my take on the hakai technique:)

so i do have one question about this technique. i may be wrong but i got the impression it doesnt just kill a person but completely eliminates them so there is not even a spirit to go to otherworld. if it had just killed zamasu as a kai he would still be able to do stuff like king kai does even though he was killed when cell blew himself up. so does it just kill or does it do more?

Yeah, I haven't heard this whole "hax" argument before, and yeah, to an extent it is, being an instakill, even on a large scale as we saw recently in the series, but it's pretty obvious to me it's just a tool given to someone once they are designated as a God of Destruction...the angels keep an eye out for powerful dudes who might be god material (as we've seen Whis do with Goku and Vegeta) and IF they actually say yes and make it that far, then they are given this tool to use, and maybe some others as well. I'm guessing it works in this manner: if you are on enough of a level above whoever you are trying to wipe out, you can just use Hakai to put them down and not waste any time, as gods, according to what we've seen in the pre-tournament, are supposed to be WAY more active than Beerus is. I'd imagine they are supposed to be Hakai'ing the living shit outta everything that lowers their universes level so the Kai's can make some stuff and try again. And since we've seen that gods getting into an actual fight can be immensely devastating (forbidden for gods of destruction to battle, the damage caused when Beerus fought Goku, and that wasn't even 100% Beerus), so this is also a way for them to not fuck up everything in a broader vicinity when they are doing their job, if I had to guess. Mortals probably COULD learn it, but I'm betting it's taboo to teach it, sorta like how time travel is doable, but you aren't supposed to.

The second i first saw the Hakai i figured it was a tool for the Gods of Destruction, i never thought it was for beerus exclusively. Its a technique that makes alot of sense, as long as someone like Goku isnt able to learn it.

Pretty nice observation/theory since we've only seen it twice. I agree with you that Hakai is OP, but it's likely tied to how powerful Beerus is. In Bleach, if you fight someone with higher Spiritual Pressure your Zanpakuto is more likely to submit, like when Ichigo fought Kenpachi in the Soul Society arc. I think this is something similar to Beerus' ability.

I have to agree that was the best moment from Beerus that we've seen so far I do think that that move proves that he was at half strength if anything when he fought against Goku cuz I any point in time he could have grabbed Goku and destroy him with one attack and yes it does seem that that move is available to all gods I was actually wondering that myself after seeing the last episode and it seems like some of them have greater control over the attack than others or beerus still hasn't revealed his full power even after that attack because if you notice everytime he says I am at max power he keeps ongoing with more power
