Bleona Kreku yes, that is what my great grandparents did during ww2. They left and had my grandmother, who at first was embarrassed of the culture, but grew to love it from her older sister, who was born in Albania. That older sister was about 15 when they moved, so she had known a lot about it. One day, I would love to visit it, I’ve heard it’s very beautiful

You're so lucky to be there. Albania is one of the most beautiful countries in the Balkans. It combines both mountains and sea. As long as you'll be there you'll have the chance not only to visit places in Albania but you can also visit Greece, Montenegro, Croatia and the rest of the neighbouring countries. You'll have also the chance to visit other western European countries and see how different are the people in the Balkans, we're more heartwarming. Hope you'll enjoy my country.

I have never seen a Greek person giving advice to an American to visit Albania, if the American has moved to Greece. So on the other way around, why pointing out that Greece is close and worth visiting? He already knows that and he will eventually visit it. manolis bach I believe it’s very difficult for us to lay claim to ancient Macedonia. Linguistically, geographically and culturally, it’s just not compatible, as the ancient Macedonians were more than anything Hellenes, which even spread Hellenism during Alexander’s campaign!... the only thing I can say is some of us (maybe) have genetic connections to Macedonians, Molossians, Agrianes or Thrako-Illyrians (but still mixed with Slav and some Turkic invaders), the reason why I say this is because in my father’s DNA test he had 60% south Europe (Greek/Italian) DNA and his genetic communities corresponded to the region of Ancient Macedonia proper. Whether it’s true or not I’m not sure but it’s a large amount, if the SlavMacedonians are so adamant on being sons of Alexander then they should acknowledge his openly proclaimed Hellenic identity and then the best option is to potentially unify and put an end to this dispute
