Such poor service and communication from such big company. It's very unprofessional. The story mode is done by real talented people. But online part, probably run by interns and discount management team. Their responsibilities include creating content when they feel like it and communicating with player base is not required.

I still play it, but mostly because it is just such a huge and beautiful world. I personally play this game to relax, mostly just doing the dailies I feel like doing and otherwise just hanging out in a virtual space to mentally escape the lockdown in some way, not because there are so many exciting things to do or awesome things to grind for. If I was looking for exciting things to do or a proper reason to grind for, like most players understandably are, then I wouldn’t still play this game. Of course players looking for actual things to do will be bored with the game after a short while.

What I've noticed on PS is that more and more players are running around as literal tanks without having a tank-card-build. They barely loose health no matter how many bullets hit and then they kill you with one body-shot despite tonics. I was never really a fan of pvp but now I lost every motivation for a fight.

You could also rob industries and houses, just like in campaign. Making heists with stealth options and gun blazing ones, just like 4 guys, two on a wagon and two hidden inside, you park it, you go with a desguise and the team that will robb gets out and starts looting while you distract the workers. Robbing moving trains or stopped ones while being cargooed with stuff. Robbing banks stealth/guns blazing. Robbing stores (there are alot of empty buildings in town, making it houses/stores that you could rob would be cool. Making houses robberies, and then mansions when you get higher level and prepared for OUTLAW ROLE. Its that is not even hard to make that role, story mode has it everything already

It's so frustrating that most of what we want should be easy to do; it's already in Story Mode, so just add it in. If they added passenger trains, the wagon fence, the horse fence, the banks as Legendary Bounty type missions, then package all the Pronghorn Ranch/Beecher's Hope mechanics as a Rancher role, and see how many people are happy.

As much as I’ve been dissatisfied with RS Rdr2 online, it’s still the online game I play the most, following the same grind with the moonshiner, trader, and bounty hunter roles with no real reward for grind. But just the other day in game, a high level player who I almost took for a griefer walked up to me and dropped a legendary pelt. Though I have very little hope for RS, that guy gave me faith in the rdr2 community.

The amount of bugs and glitches, combined with the lack of actual content completely ruined this game for me. I still track and follow this game. I agree with you, John... After two and a half years the game never reached it's sweet spot. Red Dead Online is sinking and by the time Rockstar finally decides to do something about it, it may be to late. The game right now may be appealing to new players but for veterans it's just more of the same on and on and on.... I love the game but I haven't played it in weeks due to boredom and before I start hating it, I moved on to other games capable of providing me new and fresh experiences.

I deleted the game a few days ago and I'm done for a while. Been playing for a long time, leveled up to 280 and found myself in a state of limbo, where I just grind out daily challenges, fight griefers and just earn money to buy ammo and tonics. That's it. Waiting for deeper content is futile and I feel its a long way off. I'm just trying now, to complete lots of games I paused because I put so much into rdr2. I am also enjoying gaming again. Thats why I don't even play online. Tried it once, barely got through the first tutorial mission before I quit. Just not for me. The allure of RDR is the story, at least for me it is. The online I know has some story elements but my heart lies in the campaign. I've just finished my 7th full playthrough. I have 1,200 hours put into the game. Just campaign. And I don't regret a single second of it. Easily the best game I've ever played (single player), and I can't get enough of it even after this much time. Campaign for the WIN!!!

The fact the game uses P2P to play online alone is enough for me to stay away. I played around 5 hours in online and I could not believe how ridiculously empty the world is. Pvp gets boring after a few matches and the clunky controls are shining even more than in single player. The only thing you can do in free roam is to hunt animals or do repetitive missions for almost zero money. And the prices are way too high. I'm so sad because it has so much potential but Rockstar is choking it to death.

What you said is 100% sound. More so what really got me to laugh was the free bait. That I dont think i have ever used online. RDO really only has wagon delivery and moonshine. That puts you out in freeroam. I know other stuff you can do. It is becoming so repetitive. As a lvl 200 with a need to buy nothing. Im left with hitting the "posse up" from main menu for something new. Its just the random people you meet not the game that is really keeping me playing.

@5:31 RDO KZbinrs are the primary target. I had at least 3 rare instances - and I am 360 hours in - of a "filthy cheetah" was messing with my gaming experience on PC. Someone "pulled" me in his lobby and destroyed my horse or spawned 30 legendary aligators. Some other "cheetah" killed me over and over again using my gamertag. :)

I am with you 100% . RD story mode was the best game i have ever played. I am a silver surfer at the age of 62 and starting on a PS1 i have watched gaming grow so much i am gobsmacked by the growth in visuals and gameplay. But RD story was the cherry on the cake for me and i have played it 4 times, twice to 100%. It is the first game i have ever decided to play online and was super excited, but oh oh oh ..how i have been let down by Rockstar. Anger, frustration, disappointment, are these the words i expected to be using after putting in 1,800 hours of my time waiting, waiting, waiting for Rockstar to redeem themselves. I think i am flogging a dead horse in trying to get what i expected from RDO. I feel like Arthur Morgan dying a slow death after getting TB (Total Bullshit) from Rockstar. When you fall in love it is hard to break up and move on, it hurts. Time for a new relationship, Rockstar you broke my heart.
