Just bought one 1.8 petrol engine, manual transmission, traditional suspension. I'm quite satisfied for now. Fuel consumption is little more than expected (declared), but not too much. After 183.000 kilometers interior looks almost new, even the steering wheel, buttons and chrome parts. Hope it serve me well 🙏

After more than month owning one, i'm still satisfied. Bluetooth connection is a problematic. Sometimes working, sometimes not. Steering is not to precise. But overall great car. Great value for money

@@strijder0774 Still satisfied. Even more as I didn't have to go to service, except service which I did when I bought car. I had minor problem with electronics, fuel pump used to turn of by itself randomly. Repair costed me around 100 euros. I already past 10.000 km. Soon I will have to do next service

2.0 petrol has timing belt interval of 140t km in normal or 120t in harsh conditions

Is the Citreon C5 better then the Peugot 508? I use to have the Peugot 508 petrol 1.6 sedan and the turbos were unreliable even though it had been serviced.

Diesel engines are same, but 508 had unreliable petrol engine 1.6 Prince engine by BMW. Yes, BMW produced it, but they didn't put it in their own cars, they pass it to PSA group. Citroen also used that engine in later models. But their 1.8 petrol, which they used until 2010. is proven, naturally aspirated, old school engine.

If you want a diesel engine you should be looking for 2.0 diesel, it's proven to be reliable. I heard 1.6 diesel is a problematic one.

No. If you want reliable diesel engine, than you better choose 2.0 diesel.
