short answer: He essentially had to in order to prove that he is who he says he is, so there would be witnesses and the gospel could be spread.

This is another good reason. If he had died in obscurity I would not be saved today. This way was by far the most effective path that God could have chosen to make Jesus known -- as contradictory as it seems to choose a cross to spread the name of a man across the world.

The Lord is coming!! Amen. God is merciful. He always forgives. Never be ashamed to take your failures to him. He is for you, not against you! God is with you in the storm. He knows your troubles, he hears you! He is for you, on your side, always! It may feel silent at times, but he’s holding you close! May the Lord return soon! We are drawing closer. He is coming! Believe and trust in the Lord, you will be saved. Period. May the Lord bless you all! Hang in there family. Stay strong. It is not easy following the Lord. We are scoffed at. We give up our earthly dreams, our fleshly desires. What the enemy offers is short lived, but heaven is forever! Life may seem or be unfair, but God is with you! Always remember that. Acts 2:38 proves people have to be baptized for their sins to be forgiven. So Acts 2:38 proves people have to be baptized to be saved. Now do you believe people have to be baptized to be saved?

Or were you baptized in the name of Paul? I thank God that I baptized none of you except Crispus and Gaius, lest anyone should say that I had baptized in my own name. Yes, I also baptized the household of Stephanas. Besides, I do not know whether I baptized any other. @@easybeliever7 The gospel is enough for people if they obey it by believing it and repenting and being baptized and being given the Holy Spirit. Just because Paul wasn't called to baptize people doesn't mean they don't have to be baptized to be saved. It just means people are called to do different things for the kingdom of God.

For a covenant is valid only when people are dead, for it is never in force while the one who made it lives" (Hebrews 9:15-17). Hebrews 9:15-17 proves Jesus had to die for the new covenant to be begun. The thief on the cross was saved before Jesus died. So the thief on the cross was saved before the new covenant was begun. So he didn't have to be baptized to be saved.

Point 6 - From being equal to God, to becoming hung on a cross - for those who are hung on a cross are the ones who are cursed from God according to the old testament (Quoted in Galatians 3.13) Jesus showed that he went from the highest to the lowest... He both has no choice and any choice he pleases. He didn't have to in the sense that our depravity has no part with his righteousness, but, like a child so desperately needs something it desires, at any cost, so was he unwilling to not have us. In this we understand that inasmuch as Jesus Christ is Lord, everytime we sin, and anytime.we sin, Jesus is right there offering the right hand of fellowship. He rates his own death 10/10, would do it again if it was actually an option. However, it has come to pass that he will not again die for the sins of the world because that same child hates being displeased more than anything in the world, and will, in its wrath, throw a tantrum that wrecks anything in its sight.

His recent talk on "sustaining grace" helped me understand this point. God gives us grace _during_ our sufferings -- not grace to avoid suffering. He gives us grace to endure it for the sake of future glory.

It's crazy to think that people freely Sacrifice their blood, their children, and etc idolizing false Gods or evil entities. God sacrificed for us.........that alone shows you where you want to be.

Jesus had to die in order to settle an issue of universal importance. When Adam and Eve chose to disobey God, their rebellion called into question the rightness of God’s sovereignty, or way of ruling. Their sin also raised the question of whether any humans would prove faithful to God under test. (Genesis 3:1-6; Job 2:1-5) Jesus gave the most conclusive answer possible to both issues. By his perfect obedience “as far as death on a torture stake,” Jesus upheld God’s sovereignty. (Philippians 2:8) He also proved that a perfect man could maintain perfect integrity to Jehovah God despite the severest of trials. His sacrificial death opened the way for imperfect humans to have a good relationship with God and to be rescued from sin and death. Jesus’ death opens up to us the opportunity to regain what Adam and Eve lost-the prospect of living forever in perfect conditions on earth! (Revelation 21:3,4)

Its written why baptized your self for the dead. That bible has more contradictions, than fruit on a 5 gallon bucket. The book is not the way anymore. So you do not have to be baptized. But what ones have to do, is find out the real love of the truth. That holy bible is not the way anymore. And when it was, it was over 1000 years ago. So the answer is, know you do not have to be baptized. What they have to know is. Do God want them.
