I swear the opinions and some criticism that I've seen over the last two days regarding this Rumble made me go crazy. I'm not talking about the winners or some booking decisions that I'm sure will continue to being discussed for a long time, but reading comments that saying it was the worst Rumble in the last 20 years it's the biggest disrespect you can say to this Rumble and to the current WWE product in general. In terms of starpower, storylines leading in to the match, the unpredictability on who was gonna win, the uncertainty for the road to WM and some iconic moments like Reigns, Cena and Punk sharing the ring together, I literally can't understand how can it not be a good Rumble...I guess the IWC will explain it to me

I am genuinely tired of the online wrestling community. This has become the ONLY wrestling show I watch because it respects the product, it respects us, the viewers, and it isn't based on random half-baked emotional complaints that are only based on surface level outbursts. This years Rumble was very fun and entertaining, even my wife (who is a new watcher and just getting into it) had a blast watching it. Now I, myself, am not a huge Jey Uso fan, but I respect that he's gotten so over with the fans. I am kinda annoyed with everyone automatically assuming he'll go after Gunther... And maybe he will. But hear me out... If the Bloodline story all started with Jey Uso vs. Roman Reigns, wouldn't it be compelling to have Jey take the title off Cody, and have to defend it against Roman as the story comes full circle, but with reversed roles? I think that'd be amazing.

A simple Thankyou Sam for bringing some logic to the wrestling community, I cannot stand the majority of the online wrestling community. Jey was my pick too for all the reasons you have stated! Punk has his favour and he was just in the ring with both champs like he was a dead cert to win, of course he wasn’t gonna, Cena is all over Elimination chamber promotion and barely appeared this year, again Cena or not he wasn’t gonna just walk in and win the rumble his whole story over recent years has been hardships and lack of wins. Roman has multiple ways to get into a main even calibre match without a title with all the enemies made over the years, Seth & Drew ultimately only cares about stopping Roman and Punk from winning. To me that left Sami & Jey, Sami’s story has just started cooking but Jey was the obvious outside pick to me, and with rumble full of so many superstars with stories already, to me this made complete sense.

People wanted to see Cena win especially after he gave that speech about winning the royal rumble. Jey winning was just so dumb and very disappointing to see. Thats not what the fans wanted whatsoever. I hated it. My mom hated it. My brother hated it. Reminded me of when rey mysterio won the rumble in 2006. That was the wrong move too. Vince knew it was but he did what other people wanted. He never wanted rey to be world champion because he was too small. Jey isnt on the level of a Stone Cold, Rock, Hogan, Brock, CM Punk, Roman, etc. I get it jey will be fighting for the losers world title that gunther has but the real worlds champion is Cody. Thats the real world title. Roman basically called gunthers world title the losers world title when seth rollins was holding it. Thats not the real world title. Also the real world title will be the real main event on night 2. The last match is and always has been the main event. So if they didnt make 2 nights of wrestlemania, that would me main event night 1 would be in the middle of the card.

Actually the Jey Uso storyline began WAY back in 2020 at Clash of Champions when Jey went against Reigns and said “Why can’t I be Universal Champion, why can’t I be the tribal chief?”. Jimmy threw in the towel and then at HIAC Jey lost to Reigns again. This time Jey had to say “I Quit” after Jimmy’s attempt at saving Jay went wrong and Jey had to save Jimmy from Reigns by saying “I Quit”. The story was originally about Jey and I also think the original reason for Jey acting the way he did towards Sami was because Sami had a choice and chose to do a lot of bad things for Roman to impress him whereas Jey didn’t have a choice because he’s family and that made Jey mad.

I have no issue with Jey or Charlotte winning. I like them both. My main gripe with the whole show was that there was a complete no show of Randy Orton. Not only did he not show up for the KO vs Cody match but then doesn’t get included in the most star studded rumble in a very long. I’m glad there’s others on social media that are just as mad as I am with how he gets treated compared to other top stars. Ok so when it comes to this podcast with Notsam, I am always 50/50 with his opinions and so called “facts”. Because sometimes it’s bullshit or he forgets the history with certain things. Last year the fans wanted Chad to beat Gunther for the IC title. Not Jey and not Sami. If you remember, the fans were pissed and booing Sami during his match with Chad cause everyone wanted Chad to be the one to finally beat Gunther. At war games, the only reason Jey came out after Punk and Roman was because he was starting the match. Had nothing to do with him being more over then Roman or Punk. I totally understand why WWE went with Jey winning the rumble. For starters nobody was expecting that at all. Yeah you might have had a few people say oh I would like to see Jey win but about 95% were hoping for Punk, Cena and Roman. Truthfully I was rooting for Punk. And like every other podcaster everyone was rooting for Cena, Punk or Roman and everyone made there little comments about Jey but nobody picked him or expected him to win. I honestly don’t have a problem with Jey winning at all. I just hope Punk gets his rumble win before he retires. But I’m pretty sure Punk will main event WrestleMania this year

Charlotte winning the women's rumble on her return is the same as Drew cashing in MITB the same night. Once they said they were going to do it, I knew how it was going to happen and it made the finish lackluster and too obvious. I knew Punk would interfere, and I knew she would end up winning it. So to me, the finish seems wasted. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure when Charlotte gets to Mania, it'll be a great match and I'll love it, just like I loved all the Drew and Punk stuff.
