Most people are now moving towards pastel theme for their wedding - including the clothes and everything. It's very common for us and no body can outshine the bride in an Indian wedding. Normally,the bride is the one with the best look and bejeweled with like a thousand jewels in the whole wedding, even if there are a dozen people wearing red and I once again repeat,it's very common here. No body even wears red that much nowadays as it's very hard to pair up with other colours,they instead choose maroon or smthng.

I included the snippets from websites to show that it is still being stated that wearing red is disrespectful/rude etiquette. I also have not said that everybody is practicing this tradition, but rather that from what I am read it is still practiced in some form or another. If it truly is not the way it is done anymore than why am I finding readings about it that are stating to this day it is still practiced. And yes, I know red is a hard color to match with, but from the readings, it does say, even though the bride is not wearing it people should not be wearing red because it is the sacred color of the bride … I can understand there are certain families/areas within India that no longer hold it to that tradition
