Immortal draft is a joke, everyone just picks the lowest mmr from left to right to get a lot mmr for victory and lose a lot for defeat. If you don't do it and other captain does the game isn't even worth it.

how did you set the camera not to go to your base when you respawn after dying. when I respawn the camera goes straight to base no matter where it is.

there is a setting on that, go to settings, then go to option tab, on bottom left there is a center camera on hero on respawn, uncheck that

It takes a lot of practice. I took an advice from the comments to use mouse scroll (quickcast). Still not consistent but I'm getting the 3 mines maybe 50% of the time.
