My dog ate some chicken that I was unaware had garlic in it! She's a schitzhu and she's very picky. It's been several days since she's ate. I've had to get her to eat Greek yogurt from a syringe and also giving her chicken baby food. I've cooked chicken, boiled rice and tried to give her turkey, etc She has very little interest I've given her fluids by mouth Gia a syringe (coconut water, pedialyte, water). I'm a Nurse and have been providing pectillin to flush out the toxins, charcoal and anti emetic meds to treat the nausea/vomiting

Hello, Thank you for the tip. Unfortunately my dog stopped to eat. He has cancer and since started to take the medicines, and definitively since he received a quimioterapia he’s not eating. Since at least 3 weeks is like this. The vet told to give him a joghurt. Yesterday he accepted the joghurt, but today not. I am trying to vary the food, but he’s not eating. He took a medicine to avoid nausea for 3 days. We didn’t really got a result. I don’t know anymore what to do!

Our dog just gave birth 4 days ago, i mean she eats but not a lot and it kind of worry us bc she has 8 puppies to fed. We don't have any problems to her milk since she lactate enough for the 8 puppies what worries us is that she doesn't eat like before. she eats smaller amounts like uncooked 10 chicken heads and eggs. There are times she won't eat the whole bowl she really lost her appetite since she gave birth. We changed her location to a much safer place and it is kind of crowdy in the afternoon would that be a reason why she lost her appetite? Is it stress?. She took care of her pups like a good mom the only issue we face is her food intake. What would be a good recommendation to get her appetite back doc? :(

My dog is very picky she’s a Siberian husky 2 yr old female she doesn’t really like any type of dog food I use to be able o get her to eat the Merritt with freeze dried pieces and sweet potatoe but she only likes the one for small breeds and I cook for her but she only likes meat mainly chicken no fruit no vegetables she doesn’t just eat table food either she won’t touch table food doesn’t like rice either some pot roast and chicken a little salmon her3 and there and she’ll go sneak cat food but only certain ones of cat food too I have 4 cats so idk if she just feels like she has to eat what the cats eat or what bu5 it’s been going on since a little before she turned 1 years old I use to give her a little wet food benefuls she’d eat but never wanted the dry dog food she’s tough she can go days with no food she’s picky about her treats too we had several hundred dollars of tests run on her like 6 mos so I’m abou5 to go back and run tests again because I don’t understand never had a dog this difficult with eating

Hey Angel. Was it dark Chocolate or white chocolate? Dark chocolate (with a higher concentration of Cacao) is more toxic, but if she only licked it she probably did not ingest enough to get poisoned. Just make sure to check for GIT signs like vomiting and diarrhoea and if that occurs she needs to go to a vet.

My dog was limping his right leg i took to vet he said his cartilage was loos he needs surgery wich gone cause $4500 (i don’t have that much many) and he give Gabapentin and Carprofen after my dog finished those medication he loose his appetite not eating not drinking water and loose weight what can i do please? My dog right now turned his nose away from bacon bacon wtf vet doesn’t know for sure yet her guess is cancer his liver kidneys are fine he’s having hard time walking right now he can’t barely get up to go piss I may have to put i him to sleep cause he can’t go on like this guy seems but swollen it first started out for a walk one day he suddenly started limping favouring his rear legs we thought hips cause he’s 12 but the next day or two he went from normal to a vegetable an tomorrow I may have to put him down if we don’t find out what is wrong the veterinarians are few an far in between here she two hours away running her other office till Friday anyways he never had any issues his whole then suddenly this happen over night he’s going on a month and he quit eating all together Sunday
