Oh boy. Newton never disputed *or* supported action at a distance. Newton's issue was answering a question: "what is *between* the bodies subject to gravitational attraction?" Newton though that there must be *something* that facilitates attraction while others may have thought there was nothing -- that is, medium vs. no medium. Dmitri presentation title is irrelevant or misnamed. At the time the gravitation facilitator was either ether or nothing or some "angelic forces." Newton did not take sides via his famous letter, saying "I frame no hypothesis," as he refused to be specific about the gravitational facilitator. He even left it up to the readers to decide. Einstein took out ether but quantum mechanics supports scalar waves as the gravitational link between mass bodies with instantaneous distance-independent link. Oh yes, gravitation can be neutralized.

text in the table in 28th minute, is it not clearly metaphysical?

As Levitin clearly says, Newton subscribed to the "argument from design": that the world showed evidence that it had been designed by a wise and beneficent Creator. This, to Newton, was reasoning from phenomena, and therefore a part of physics (see quotation at min. 23).

This guy is painful to listen to. But secondly, Newton thought only an idiot could believe in action at a distance. This guy is prejudice towards God, and so, Truth.
