The fact is that Raj Kapoor provoked Rajesh khanna to marry Dimple prior to release of Bobby. This was the actual reason behind the success stories of Bobby. But the success of Bobby unfortunately became an obsession for Rajesh khanna's life. The poor Superstar had to suffer a lot afterwards. Sorry to say but Raj Kapoor played a dirty game with a true friend and took advantage of his stardom for the sake of money. So sad 😔 in fact log Bobby ko kam laikin Kaka ki dulhan ko ziyada daikhhnay jatay thay.

Bobby was a fantastic film, no doubt. But for me enigma has been( why MNJ)failed in cinema. The film has been a major earning asset for RK FIR 40 years now. One film had a goof story line but pictured 40 years earlier. 2- to have impact film has length of 4 hours, and each seen was necessary and Rk could not edit it. SJS music was par Exe-lance and it it could convince public at first place it still not understood. At best, I can term RK an average filmmaker who happened to gain a foothold in the industry because of his father. He was lecherous and had no respect for women and other people, who gained success in the industry. He is a legend cooked up by the media and sycophants. Look at the frames of his movies where the lead heroine and a character actress (a must in his movies) and you will notice the sexuality that he wanted to squeeze out. The way the camera panned, the nonsensical dresses (ex. Satyam Shivam Sundaram) and even more nonsensical stories (SSS, MNJ, Sangam and Prem Rog). RK was the least bit bothered by all this because he was not flaunting the female members of his family and was strictly against them entering the cinema because he knew they would also be disrobed and exploited. Years after, Karishma and Kareena paid for their grandfather's sins. Also, the way he promoted male members of his extended family is disgusting - one ex is Randhir Kapoor. RK had no morals and ethics and is very well known that he had a penchant for exploiting women who never even appeared on the silver screen. The audience has to accept the fact that there are not really many good men/women in cinema and I would place Guru Dutt above most for he made some of the best movies in his lifetime. The very nature of the industry makes sit a cesspool of no immoral and dishonesty. RK - a Showman, my foot.

@sayara sami I can give you a dozen examples where this lecherous man has exploited starlets to give them a break in the RK banner. Right from Nargis to Padmini Kolhapure. But that same Kapoor Khandan got it back with Kareena & Karishma Kapoor. The RK banner is no more and all the males by the time they are in their middle age grow obese and heavy drinkers. As a director, he was just average and as an actor, he was a 'hammer'.
