I really do miss Rudy on the channel. Glad to see he's happy and doing his thing though! Rudy wants to do it on his own, and tell his story. That's admirable. Rudy is Matt's top welder, but Lizzy has picked it up so quickly and is kicking butt with the welding now! I have feeling Rudy had a big part in teaching her. It's cool watching the skills being passed down.

Deciding to go out on my own instead of continuing with my dad's business was both the best and stupidest thing I ever did. Every man has to branch out on their own at some point and then realize just how good they had it. Rootin for ya Rudy!

I'm in the opposite boat, kinda like Rudy my true talents go outside the immediate scope of the family business, and now I'm at an age/status where it is much riskier to go after that path instead of staying in a less fulfilling but fairly stable foreseeable future... It's a tough crossroad that I wish I would've turned at years ago, but I guess the grass is always greener and what not 😄🤷♂️

He left because he realised most rescues were fake.. If you look at most of the sand rescues, there's a bow wave of sand in front of the front tyres. Meaning the car was Hard Braked in to get bogged.. and they just don't use Max Trax to get the cars out of snow, mud ,sand.. DSparks travel with them all the time.. on all rescue vehicles.. Matt Rescues is fake..

Well said! As a father I would be broken and a lil pissed. I have not subbed to Rudys channel and I dont plan on it because he says that he wanted to tell his own story and use his own voice but had used his dad and his dads platform to invite his dads subscribers to his channel. That is contradictory

@@theamerican8337 As a father myself I would be VERY PROUD of my son doing his own thing. I also would support him 110%. Any father that loves his son would want to see him grow and be successful. I have been painting automotive and industrial since i was 28 and im 51. Never went to school in my life for painting, from what I have observed in the autobody field is people who go to school to learn to paint or do bodywork are usually not that good at it. There is an exception to the rule but 98% have no clue and waste time going to school to learn to paint. When you finally get out of school the old timers are going to tell you to forget what you learned in school. When I started painting my old boss asked me "what makes a good painter" I bust out some textbook answer and he turns and looks at me saying "NO, What makes a good painter is knowing what to do when sh!t goes wrong and it will". Years later I never forgot that and was able to thank him for it and how much of an impact that had on me all them years ago.
