Who was your favourite character in the film? I personally Loved Charlie Day's Luigi! --- I know we don't usually talk about films/tv shows much here, but Mario has a special place in my heart so I thought I'd give my takes on why I think the Mario movie did as well as it did!

Even after this video I'm baffled by the success. It was an abysmal film. Illumination a debatable track record? Come on, Despicable Me 3 is one of the best animation films ever made, just second behind the LEGO Batman Movie (in Flemmish dub it is a undebatable no.1 ). If this Mario Film is Heineken, Sonic is Leffe. Bad taste vs. good taste. Jim Carrey is a perfect evil yet funny antagonist. Bowser is a cute clown at best, not capable of stopping the two even bigger clowns in overalls. Mario is the Trump of film making. You don't understand the following.
