A small detail I really appreciate is that often when everyone's suits are reasonably different, Kai and Nya's suits often look pretty similar, like with the fusion suits or with the SoG suits. I think it's a nice little detail that shows their connection :)

My theory with the Legacy suits is that they all have the dragon design to celebrate and honor the dragons that helped them escape the 1st realm and defeat Garmadon. My explanation for the mech suits is that the Ninja wanted to wear some more armor just on top of some standard basic ninja robes to protect themselves kind of like the Fusion suits Also, my favorite suit lines are the Dragon Form, Mech suits, Kimono, Deepstone suits, Skybound, The Island, and Honor Robes

My theory with the Mech pilot suits are they were a gift from Imperium to thank the Ninja from saving them. i also think they were designed to connect with any type of tech. Also, Sora doesn't have one because she already has a mech pilot suit and doesn't want to have anything from Imperium,Arin doesn't have one because he well.... doesn't really(?) need one, and Cole has one because maybe heard of him and Jay so did suits for them as well

The Ninja also probably grew up, so a lot of the older suits just don't fit them anymore and some were also destroyed because there were placed at the monastery when the snakes burned it and later in season 15 when the monastery 2.0 blew up.

2:47 yes and no. Morro actually wears a recoloured version of Lloyd ZX's design in flashback scenes, so technically he has has a 'ZX' suit. However, I don't really count the whole green ninja suit as 'Lloyd ZX' because Kai wears a version of this without the shoulder pads and mask plating. I assume the green ninja gi existed long before the other ninja gi and was created as paert of the prophercy, with the additional armour being sourced from the same place as the other ninja's zx suits to make the suit more protective. If wu already new about the green gi, maybe Morro's looking similar was intentional because Wu thought he would be the green ninja. Super cool video btw

I think they also change their suits when they make an accomplishment. Like when they learned Airjitzu, they got their Airjitzu/Skybound suits. My other reason why the ninja change their suits so often is for the place they are going. Like when they added deepstone armor to their possession suits. Or when they wore jungle type suits to prepare for their trip to the island of the keepers, and their climber suits when they were climbing that mountain to get to Egalt.

@@DEADLYSTORM22 Many of the suits post Day Of The Departed are just existing because the Ninja need new looks for each year of sets. But I always loved it when there was a logical reason for each suit change. Especially when we got to Seabound we startd to see the introduction of suits specialized for certain environments. Having a logical reason for a suit change besides just "new look" made those suits more memorable and special, for example, started with standard black ninja suits, go infused I asume with a little elemental Creation power from Wu to make their first actual team suits, then the Dragon suits were used when they tamed their dragons, later ZX got introduced as an upgrade to deal with the Serpentine, the Kimono suits represent their progress in getting the Elemental Blades, and the Techno suits helped hide their identities from survaylance I assume with some kind of jammer tech. And others as the video explains why.

You forgot something about the skybound suits. They couldn't use the deep stone armor that much would airjitsu because it was too heavy. So the Skybound suits are supposed to be lighter. To help them with airjitsu.

Honestly the deepstone suits are probably as a defense against possession since Lloyd was possessed by Morra at the start of the season. Likely just to prevent it from happening again.

In s8 the ninja look different because Kai and Nya changed the timeline a bit, it could very well be that the suits were different because they changed the timeline 13:17

I think the Season 10 suits could be the DX suits, because of 3 things, 1 In the Legacy Sets, the suits replace old suits for the new version of the sets. Two, in the Tales from The Monastery Shorts Old suits were also replaced with the Legacy suits, and in Dragons rising, Lloyd is training in his legacy suit, even though he was a child. So what I think in show wise is that, the same way the ninja changed appearances in season 8, so did their suits, but they also never got the ZX Suits or Elemental Kimonos. And in season 10 they were tired and are still settling in, and since their season 8 suits are destroyed even through they some how had them on at the end of season 9, the and because the bounty was destroyed dozens of time causing them to lose old suits, they just had the Legacy, or as I see them the DX suits, and were currently waiting on the season 11 suits, for the time being, just to have suits.

My headcanon for the season 5 suits is that they only wear it because of the shadow of ronin game. SOR is loose canon, so not everything in the game is exactly what happened. I think that they got the season 5 suits in the game instead of the jungle robes because they get the suits from the obsidian blades which has a black motif, and the main colour from the season 5 suits is black.
