I don't know if this is just a nostalgia thing but I absolutely loved Legacy of the Green Ninja. It truly feels like the imposing threat of Garmadon that has been lurking the entire show is finally coming out of the woodworks for his final battle. The tension is high, I loved all the character interactions leading up to it, and the final battle will always mark my childhood. It really just felt like the perfect pay off for what we had of the series at the time. I felt content with it ending there as I watched it. Obviously I'm happy it didn't but yeah.

Don’t sleep on Rebooted! I know people hate on the love triangle… but that took up MAYBE 5 minutes of the entire season. And it led to a cool Jay/Cole confrontation in TotE. There’s so much other good. Pythor’s return, Garmadon and Lloyd moments, Pixal’s introduction, the Golden Master prophesy. As well as the ninja gaining the ability to channel their powers from their hands… I think people forget that they couldn’t do that until Rebooted. There’s a lot of lore added. Sure, the space plot was a little silly, but the ninja kind of acknowledge that they don’t belong in space. It was a very clever way for the Overlord to get what he wanted. And don’t get me started on Zane’s sacrifice. Easily one of the best moments in Ninjago EVER. The music, line delivery, and visuals all combine to really show the development that Zane has gone through. Going against what is logical, going against the “numbers”. Gives me chills every time. Visually, the season is a step up from the ones before. The animation is more refined. The music is stunning, remixing some old tracks with more digital sounds for a new feel, while retaining that old feel. I love Rebooted!

My personal favorite season is Posession! I think they did an amazing job at writing Morro, and it showed exactly what Kai would’ve been if he hadn’t accepted that he wasn’t meant to be the green ninja. He’s my favorite villain apart from Garmadon. And besides, it added the concept of the 16 realms, which is really cool!

Yeah it’s almost my favorite. Although I feel like if they did a bit more with Kai and coles arc it would be a literal perfect season. Sure Kai has the most amount of screentime and lines, but his arc still feels it short. He feels like he was supposed to have an epic final battle with morro but he just doesn’t. And for Cole his ghost thing only was an issue for like an episode then he was back to being in the background. Ronin and nya were great, Jay and Zane whilst not really having their own arcs outside of the shared “brother sharpens brother arc amongst all 4 ninja”, were also great and hilarious just as Kai and Cole were as well. (For some reason basically everyone is funny af this season.) I’m sorry but Lloyd was wasted. I can not agree when people say this is a Lloyd season, he does nothing, he gets captured for 8 episodes and then sort of gets to have a final battle, but then it ends up being nya who saves the day. I wouldn’t really change anything with him tho, I mean they did the best with the amount of screentime he had. But literally everything else besides Kai and coles arc is a 10/10 for me. I think this is my second favorite season

Possession is the best. It’s short in the sense it doesn’t over stay it’s welcome with filler. tonally consistent. An intimidating villain. Shakes up the ninjas dynamic by not having Lloyd around and left changes that will last past season 5 with the likes of Cole and Nia. It’s our first proper introduction to Ronin and the story is just simply tight. It’s not perfect, but again, the season is short, so we don’t spend too much time with weaker aspects of the story. (Like cloud kingdom)

Hot take : I really liked season 5 probably because Moro is my favorite villan but when I was younger the weapons intrigued me the sword of sanctuary was awesome and the deep stone blade things were also interesting and gave the ninja a good edge in fights with the ghosts kai took charge in that season aswell and he was amazing at that role every episode I was getting excited to see a Moro vs Kai rematch absolutely amazing the childhood memories this season gave me will always be with me

Personally my favorite season is Skybound. I know Skybound is a relatively controversial season. Some people love it and others hate it. Well I love Skybound! You wouldn’t think Jay wouldn’t work as the main character of a season since he’s usually just the comic relief but they managed to pull it off. Jay still feels like Jay even when he’s more than just a comic relief and he’s a great main character. We even learn in Skybound that the only reason he makes so many jokes is because it’s his coping mechanism (something I very much relate to). Also I know a lot of people don’t like the jail stuff but it only lasts one episode and the ninja learn stuff they need to in order to stop Nadakhan (also it’s 1000 times better than the jail stuff in crystallized). I love how they explored Jay and Nyas relationship. Skybound has some of the most heart wrenching moments of the entire series. Nadakhan is one of the best villains the show has ever had. The show has been teasing him returning for like five seasons now. I’m not sure if I want him to return or not but if they could pull it off I would be all for him returning but after the mess that was crystallized I’m not sure if they could pull it off or not😂. Anyway The last thing I want to mention about Skybound is the ending. I know a lot of people don’t like the ending but I absolutely love it. People don’t like the ending because it makes the whole season “it was just a dream” type of thing but a “it was just a dream” ending isn’t always a bad thing. Everything that happened in Skybound still happened it’s just that no one remembers it outside of Jay and Nya and that’s fine. Jay and Nya are the only one’s that need to remember it because the entire season revolved around them. They still have all the character development they got in the season (even if some of the seasons after Skybound just throws all there character development away but that’s a different conversation). Also if Jay hadn’t made his last wish Nadakhan would have won. Every time I rewatch the ending of Skybound it makes me cry a little bit. Nya saying “I guess all the greatest love stories do end in tragedy” and then dying makes me cry every time. I remember Jay’s last wish caught me so offguard the first time I watched Skybound but I loved it even when I first watched it. All of this is why Skybound is my favorite season and it always will be

Lloyd becoming the ultimate spinjitzu master will forever be one of the most iconic moments in the history of the entire series. The stone army were cool too

I sorta agree. I think this season displayed the progress of Lloyds journey to becoming the green ninja really nicely. I think the plot is pretty solid. The filler episodes are a bit dumb but if they do anything, they definite don’t hurt the plot and they do push it forward. I do think there were things that could’ve been done better. They dumb down Garmadon a bit to make him goofier.

season 2. it's brings back nostalgia, and ends on an upbeat note, Ninjago could have just ended there, and I would have just been sad that it ended, of course I love seasons 3-7, zane's sacrifice was the first time I ever cried because of a TV show, I have nostalgia for seasons 1-7 and even kinda season 8 (I'm fine with 9 through 11, but at 12 it felt like they were just milking the series) but if it had ended at season 2, I would have been satisfied, it had a happy ending, and we got to see all of the main characters at their best, they did the final battle, and now we're done. But then we had 3-7, which were absolute joys, but then at 8-11, the redesigns didn't do much for me, and then after season 12 it felt so unnecessary.

Here me out rebooted is an amazing season think about it it flows perfectly imbetween the final battle and chens island plus’s we got the best sets (in my humble opinion) they introduced new characters such as pixel and Cyrus borg and come on I know for a fact that you loved the Digiverse and that first battle against the overlord in the digiverse was crazy cool and the brought back old characters like scales and pythor! The final fight in this season was a little wacky (with the golden strings) but had real stakes and the sacrifice by Zane let him become even more cool. I know that the elephant in the room is the space episodes but I think that they are pretty bad but every thing else was crazy good plus we got the ninja’a hair in the sets. The Techno blades were such a cool gimmick.

My personal favourite season of Ninjago is Sons Of Garmadon. The season is just so well written and I feel like every character had something to do especially Lloyd, Zane, and Cole. The fight scenes are also top notch as the fight with Lloyd and Garmadon has so much emotion and is extremely well choreographed. The animation had a massive boost compared to Hands Of Time and the soundtrack is really good as always. The Sons Of Garmadon themselves are very fun to watch and Harumi has one of the most tragic and interesting backstories as it made the season one finale have more consequences and casualties which was lacking during that battle. So overall, I love Sons Of Garmadon. As for my least favourite season, probably Crystalized. Pretty self explanatory.

Just judging the show, my favorite will have to be Skybound. It's dark and brilliant. However, a big part of my perception of the seasons are the sets, and Skybound was honestly one of if not the worst season when it comes to that. Possession was my favorite season, favorite villain and the most consistently amazing season out there. Morro had quite a lot of depth for being a Tai Lung clone without feeling like a Tai Lung clone at all. The season has a really great overarching message of regret, something I only saw Skybound do originally with their theme of greed and lust with pirates being the main antagonists. Morro and Wu's backstory was the main exacerbation of this, showing how both of them regretted their actions, Wu with how he handled Morro and feeling responsible for his death while Morro his actions and how he acted out in his youth. Morro's death scene was perfect with this, Morro hands Wu the realm crystal and Wu stares at it while Morro disappears into the water, leaving Wu to continue regretting his actions with Morro(as he should imo) and making this season actually IMPACT Wu. DOTD followed up on this with Morro regretting his actions and trying to make amends(being the only villain to actually try and reconcile with the protags). Nya, Lloyd, and Wu all had great character dev from this season and that was great. Having Lloyd and Nya on their own as well, gave the original four some much needed screen time so everyone felt really focused on. The pacing was great throughout and the only cons for me was Lloyd never really connecting with Morro over the Green Ninja title except for the ending(maybe an inner dialogue with Lloyd fighting Morro), and Cole's ghost thing rarely being touched on(no good ghost powers) although that was kinda a multi season issue. My favorite season is skybound, even though it didnt happen, i liked the fact that the ninja kept getting tricked into being alone so nadakhan could trick them, and it was down to jay to save almost everybody by the end of the season, jay saving his last wish just for the perfect time, as nadakhan was slowed down by the tiger widows poison, as nya was dying from it as well, nobody remembered skybound except for jay and nya, im glad that their relationship was more than dates and just showing they love eachother, skybound was a good season.

Basic pic, but Sons of Garmadon is my favorite for sure. All six of the ninja just feel so in character, and they all get something to do at some point in the season. Obviously Lloyd acts as the main character, but Zane's Snake Jaguar story is cool, Cole with the baby is amazing, this season makes me like Nya a lot more than most of the other seasons do, and Jay and Kai, while they aren't focused on as much, still get some good characterization. I love the dynamics in this season, it's just so fun to watch. The ninja bounce off of each other perfectly, and I don't think any other Ninjago season has topped SoG in terms of dialogue. Harumi is a dope villain with a brilliant connection to Garmadon and the Great Deavourer, and bringing back Garmadon worked surprisingly well. I love a good story that ends on a cliffhanger, and the ending of SoG is amazing, so cool to watch when it first came out. Although I love Hunted and Master of the Mountain almost as much and Tournament of Elements has a special place in my heart, SoG will always be the best one. I wish the rest of the show was this good.

season 7 is overhated, I enjoyed it. The storyline is incredible and seeing Kai and Nya finally bond together being the main characters working together was important. I also was surprised when we come to find out Kai and Nya's parents were alive the whole time. The animation is a bit crappy sure, but Hands of time made Wu an amazing character, the moment Krux and Acronix went back in time to alter a battle and it was all up to Kai to save Ninjago had my heart beating with tension. When the dragon disappeared and I thought that he had failed, I dropped down to my knees... I thought he didn't succeed until Nya came in clutch with that reversal blade. Wu's sacrifice was also brave

The Tournament of Elements established many elemental masters and the lore of the Serpentine War! And shows how powerful the Anacondrais were in the war from then. While S11, there were several filler that are really pointless to the plot. The Fire chapter was so bad for my liking. Unpopular opinion, but the Ice chapter was no exception, but okay in some parts. And the animation was so noticeably unfinished in my eyes

Fun fact: if zane found a way to defeat the overlord without sacroficing himself season 4 would have never existed and then sensei garmadon would stay and morro wouldnt escape the cursed realm so no possesion and since it was ghost clause who unleashed nadakhan season 6 wouldnt have happened i dont think sons of garmadon and hunted would happen and im not sure how march of the oni happened so zanes sacrofice in rebooted has affected ninjago greatly

​@@Kingstuds It was all intended on one wish, which was jays, and it was the only way. If jay didn't wish for it, and the timeline was not erased, All of ninjago will be crushed. Nya will die, Pixal will still be already dead, everyone In Ninjago(Which is the continent along with it) will die and get crushed by the parts of djinjago(Just like Wu said. If nadakhan's defeated, ninjago will be crushed) But overall, This season was completely about Jay and Nya being back together as lovers once again but better than before S3, and the season succeeded in doing so, which is why I loved the scene. I also wasn't a fan of all the ninja being inside the djin blade, but it completely had a purpose thanks to Ep 8 where with all these Nya and jay only moments all end in a confession and a promise to save Nya.

My opinion on every season: Pilots - Haven't watched. S1 - Very good, still holds up. Good character moments. One of the better season 1's - 8/10 S2 - Criminally underrated. The first half is better though - 7/10 S3 - There's a few gems, but it's just OK. The love triangle even was egrigious as a kid. - 5/10 S4 - Pretty good, although very overrated. The final episodes are much better and less stale. (not saying the season's stale) - 6/10 S5 - It takes a few episodes to get good, but when it does... It's just so diverse. - 9/10 (does a lot of worldbuilding and got me really hooked) S6 - Perfect. Still holds up extremely well. - 20/10 (random piece of trivia, i got a wierd book about some stuff with this one, but i lost it a few years ago) DotD - Haven't watched, but seems OK. S7 - Bland and repetitive, one of the few bad seasons. Not utter shit, but very close. - 2/10 Currently on my rewatch, haven't watched the rest yet, so can't really give an honest opinion yet. If I feel like it, I'll update the comment.

Okay, let me explain So some of the things didn’t make sense like why they would make the overlord’s looks how they are and the rest of the army etc, but still. Personally i do like it because it just feels good to watch. It does have some good and bad writing moments. The vengestone buyer should of been different thats for sure but it did somewhat of a good job. The battles are well played and look visually approving and it overall for me is pretty nice. I mean it could be better but i still enjoyed it alot Also you dont need to over-think it

Cool ranking!! Sons of Garmadon is my fav too! I don’t think crystallized is the worst season ever however I do think it was massively disappointing. I actually think rebooted is the worst season for a variety of reasons. One being the obvious: the love triangle but I also hate how the overarching plot ties into the episode Wrong Place Wrong Time from season 2 because that episode is incredibly illogical when you think about it. EDIT: I’ve changed my mind. Rebooted is a good season and Crystallized IS the worst season

I always thought with season 6 it was Nadikhans hubris which made the ninja wish themselves away. He relished in the manipulation and prided himself In outsmarting his opponents. That’s why he got so angry when he needed to get Clancy to wish them away before gaining his composure again. Then when the final battle came about basically all the ninja had their wished gone and he needed to deal with them here and now because he got infinite wishes. That’s my take at least.

I don't like season 11, some of that has to do with how various arcs were (or rather weren't) followed up on, but apart from that, having the ninja realease the villian is a really odd choice. And then they don't really take anyting away from it either. There's no moment where they go "hey, we really screwed up here". And I didn't like Clutch powers here either, he had a strong case of Jake Skywalker syndrome if you'll pardon the term.

Hot take: season 11 is an amazing season, the only problem are episodes 3,4 and 19 because they are useless and the Akita backstory could've been a normal lego backstory like with Morro and Harumi's backstory animation. Unpopular opinion: I think Art of the silent fist is an honorable mention of a top 10 episode of masters of spinjitzu despite me myself not liking rebooted at all. Not only did it do a good job with the Zane and Pixal dynamic, but when you compare between Season 2 Garmadon and season 3 Garmadon, Garmadon went from relying on megaweapon(which made me him dumb for the most part of season 2) and being completely manipulated by the overlord after being stupid enough to trust him to becoming an actual Sensei who defeated USM without him using his powers and teaching a technique that ultimately ended up the reason why the Ninja won against the nindroids in the same ep. It maybe the seed of the love triangle but it's just a seed planted that didn't make any issues until the next episode. Like Rebooted or not, this one is a good episode and I'll die on this hill and it was one of the best parts of rebooted. And then the episode after this is one of my least favorite episodes in all of ninjago.
