As a Venture main, what you said about setting up is really interesting to me, because when I first picked up the game, I was doing that with them a lot, but my friends said I should be doing more, but it's good to know I had the right idea after all.

As someone who always has to go through the gold on console when rank resets, it's interesting to see a pov of how people play there rather than me just doing my own thing Also for the venture, I notice they always use drill first before going undergroud essentially not using the bury > drill > pop like a weasel > drill for a kill or to safety combo. Im not a ultra high venture or anything but it's pretty great for survivability, causing as much chaos during teamfights (and in my case) pathing to aggressive off angles high ground without taking too much damage. Id recommend including it in gameplay a bit more

More tips for venture: shoot, drill dash, shoot, melee is a kill on most squishes. Also save your dig always, dont use it out of spawn its faster to drill dash at 45 degree angle and jump. Dig is your reaper fade to keep you alive, almost never use it to engage its your get out card.

Quick tip on Reaper: you can actually use teleport instead of wraith to cleanse effects like Queen ult or Ashe dynamite etc

I think this venture would benefit so much by using some little techs that can bring tons of value. First off, immediately using dash after burrowing, so the cooldown for dash is up after exiting the ground. And they should go in while burrowing, charge it up, get as many people with the aoe, shoot once or twice, and get out with dash. Also try to get to high grounds when exiting burrow, that way you can keep on drawing attention and setting up your plays. Think of venture as if they were an off tank setting up stuffs for the main tank

I would be afraid of taking the health pack explained around 22:46. I am basing it on whether the enemy team is grouped too close to the choke point or genji might have attempted to ping/communicated that Venture is low health and isolated. Hindsight of no one near there was good but in my rank/casual, the enemy team will likely glance that entrance if someone died from that area

15:50 I’m guilty of that cuz we had a good team fight win. We over ultra but that’s a hey i want to farm my ult quick and get a pick to make them reset again. And get greedy. Done a lot better about that and sitting at plat 2 getting back to my diamond rank from a horrible loss streak😂 I just play that way and it’s hard to get out of when I get the value I do. But remembering I get punished for being greedy😂

Too some of the commenters talking flak like ( maybe before submitting a vod you should try to play the game and understand what you're playing or TRAIN YOUR AIM) the aim will gradually get better the longer a person plays (so moot point). It's never too early to ask for advice from experienced players. If you can avoid developing bad habits that'll keep you stuck in bronze/whatever ranked hell and the time you'll save from not having to break said bad habits.

So what you are saying is that you are better than this person yet you are stuck in a lower rank and have no idea why you are in a lower rank yet you can see every fault this player makes? Yes that definitely seems logical and adds up. Take it from someone who used to be hardstuck silver on support in ow1, once you actually find out why you are stuck and solve that, you can climb. For me it was the realisation that I relied on teammates to peel for me as a support which wouldn't happen because it was silver. So I got better at defending myself on ana and used better positioning and I did this in quickplay for 150 hours (I was having fun so it took far longer to return to ranked). Wanna know what happened? In 3 days (of ranked) I was 2800 sr (so I went from silver 2 to plat 2) and I stayed there and climbed and never have I dropped below 2750 ever again. I had a 65% winrate up untill around 2550 sr while climbing. The reason you are stuck in silver is you, not teammates. Because my teammates still sucked donkey b when I climbed out of silver, the difference was me killing or surviving everything that came upon me. Hence I had more impact.
