Why did we Kill Gaddafi ?

Muammar Gaddafi, the Libyan leader who defied the West for over four decades, was born in 1942 into a modest Bedouin family. Gaddafi quickly distinguished himself with his political ambitions. In 1969, at just 27 years old, he seized power in a military coup, overthrowing the Libyan monarchy.
Gaddafi established an autocratic regime, advocating a unique form of Islamic socialism. His foreign policy was characterized by support for revolutionary movements and marked antagonism towards Western powers. Under his rule, Libya experienced economic modernization but also severe repression of dissidents.
The 1980s and 1990s were marked by increasing international tensions, particularly with the United States and Europe, culminating in UN sanctions. However, in the early 2000s, Gaddafi attempted to reconcile with the West, abandoning his weapons of mass destruction programs and seeking to reintegrate into the international community.
But in 2011, in the wake of the Arab Spring, a revolt erupted in Libya. The brutal repression ordered by Gaddafi led to a NATO military intervention. After months of conflict, Gaddafi was captured and killed by rebel forces.
