Just an update on insurance after graduation for international students: No private company like Manulife , sunlife etc gives you health insurance if you don’t have OHIP, I did a huge mistake of not extending my student insurance. I didn’t get insurance until I got my ohip card, So please request to all the international students in 4th Sem, extend your insurance if you are in Ontario especially or get a new private insurance first before rejecting the student insurance
@GursahibandJasmineinCanadaАй бұрын
That is great advice for international students! Thank you for sharing.

@Amandeep but we can apply for OHIP if we are in work permit and working somewhere in work permit for last 6 month..Right? My student visa will expire in coming months..What is the best advice you will give brother

Thank you
@AmandeepMukerianАй бұрын
Hi Satwik, I was not lucky enough to land on full time job right after my study, I got my full-time job after 6 months so I was without insurance till the time I got a job. So if you get a full time job on time then it’s fine, you can get the ohip but if not then you can extend your student insurance. Also, if you have full-time permanent job written on your employment letter, you can directly apply for ohip without 6 months wait, and if it’s contract full time job then you have wait for 6 months and you contract full time employment letter should state you will be employed for next 6 months. I hope this helps a little bit in deciding.

21:00 Hum Winnipeg valo se pucho ki agar ghuamne jana ho to west me 550 km pe regina aataa hai north me to kuch hai hi nahi east me sidha thunder bay aata hai wo bhi 700around km hai south me to kya bolu sidha usa ka border hai. Vese Manitoba me agar dekhne jaao to life buri to nahi hai lekin decent si hai. Housing affordable hai. If you want to own a house or a rent both are way cheaper than any big cities in Canada. Specifically talking about Winnipeg. Events vagera hote rahete hai kafi sare public events private events and all. Then Ghuamne ke liye if you are a nature lover person and you love lakes and beaches than you would love to be here, like there are so many beautiful lakes in Manitoba but you have to travel a lot for that by Car. Groceries and eating out dekhe to groceries are more cheaper than eating out as there are very few good spots. Lifestyle is more than decent not full of enjoyments or happening life like big cities but peaceful and not so populated so many people love living here. If you want YOLO life than this is not for you. Family grow karne ke liye bi it is a good place, for study I would not recommande any College, or University. Like they are just doing there Business not interested into the students education and future so if possible than try to avoide study here. It is not like 100% not recommanded but if you really want to study do not come here. Weather 😂 It's just an unexpeceted at any time so much windy throughout the year, and So Cold here like we are not ready for any winter each year is unexpected some time it's Cold and freezing and sometime it;s so normal like you will feel like South Asian weather, Most likely Indian. This is Pariry region and India is likely Pariry country from middel to south side. So You will feel like that some days.And the summer is Horrible, raining all the summer any time and hot like a desert. Transportation I don't have words for it. You can't imagine how it is. Sometime it is so good and sometime it is worse like curse. Kabhi to lagega ki agar na hota to hi achha tha. But jitna bhi hai kafi helpful hai, for those who don't have car. But In some time you will definetly buy one like in 1-2 years. Log to kya hi batao mostly aaj tak muje 1 years and 4 months ho gaye hai jitne bhi mile hai sare hi bahot achhe the, haa kuch exceptional case hote hai but people here are nice, bahot countries se log aaye hai and friendly bhi hai, helpful bhi. Bas ek dikkat hai yaha pr druggies log bahot hai, they are mostly in downtown but now they have spreaded in all parts of the city. Ye to pura review ho gaya Winnipeg and Manitoba ka. Chalo koi nahi abhi agar kuch reh gaya hai or janna hai to puch lene. Try karunga jitna bata paunga bata dunga. BTW I am following you both from your begening of the journey but never commented on any video. But I love to watch you both are like my elder brother and sister. Vese aman ki bhi update dete raho kabhi kabhi.

I also moved from Ontario to Calgary 3 years ago. The best thing about moving to Calgary for us as a new couple is if you grow your family you can afford to have your wife not working for a long time to take care of the baby. You can afford to take overseas vacations and bring your parents here.

Moving to Calgary is a mistake. A lot of people don't realise this and online information is completely wrong! Alberta is a prairie province which means most of the people are related to farming. Other than a few oil and gas companies nothing much is happening here! There are no jobs, bias against migrants is high in professional feilds. Also, people are not welcoming for highly qualified youngsters or foreign qualified youngsters... if your boss has just a diploma, he will never hire you with a bachelors or a masters as he'd think you cam bypass and out grow him! Hence hiring here is all about being local, knowing people and having experience. No one has degrees and they don't care about ylur degrees either! Also if you are laid off, time for finding new job is also very very long! During winters hiring almost stops, but then during summers it stops again as everyone goes for vacations! If you are into trades like HVAC installation or repair, construction, plumbing there's a lot of scope. But for young professionals Alberta and Calgary both are a far inferior choice over GTA or Vancouver. People think median household salary for calgary is high.. nope its not! Other than a hand full of people working in oil & gas, mining etc. who get paid in millions, majority people struggle to survive on retail jobs. Also, a lot of jobs here are seasonal. Hence a sustained employement is difficult. For the love of God pls don't come to Calgary because you got excited over a few youtube videos! It is worse here than you think!

Great Vlog Guys. Soon you will stop missing GTA as I did😂. I will give you some tips. Take Stoney trail for your travel if possible to south as it may look more KM wise, but time is always less. Some malls you can go to Cross Iron mills outlet mall which just 10 mins from NE Cheenook Mall which is very premium but they have every brand there And there are some other malls too. As you have friends and relatives here they should know all the good places here. Kanaskis great place. Then, TD square in downtown. Just pak your car at westwinds station and take CTrain. You will enjoy here. Grocery is expensive but real estate is still less expensive thank GTA. Take care

@GursahibandJasmineinCanada no worries. One more thing, you need to register your car here and get Alberta plates. To do that, go to Automax car center in westwinds. Mr Padda is the owner. He is very nice guy and very genuine. Don't go to Canadian Tire, please. 32 westwinds Crescent NE # 235. Do it before your windshield gets a crack.😉

@@divyaroopsingh124 don’t we need to go to Registry for the number plate & health card?
@divyaroopsingh124Ай бұрын
@GursahibandJasmineinCanada yes you are right. Go there first. They will give you a form for out of province car inspection. Then you take that to car workshop. I missed that part. You have to fill form for both things there but for a health card, it will take sometime meanwhile you can use your ontario health card. You also have to provide proof of address here. If you have any address which you can provide comfortably, then it's good. If you found the registry has a long line up, which is common in NE and NW, go to other one nearby. I did mine in Chestermere. They are open on Saturdays

"India is developing drastically" Only on paper.. The FDI is pulling away from India and GDP growth is dwindling while INR is depreciating rapidly. There is a reason why Indians are getting taxed obnoxiously because govt income is going down, which affects their purchasing power, so next step will be to tax the common man. From the looks of it, Indians might see a few more new taxes soon. Don't fall for the 2030-40's projections and all that hoopla and make informed decisions before you make a move.
