I think one of the reasons her mum said her climbing through the bathroom window was one of her favourite memories is because of how she did what difficult thing was needed to save her mum’s life. Your child coming to save your life might be a special memory for any parent.

Brenai Stockton Yeah, the daughter does look rather traumatised by quite a lot of what her mother has had to go through in life, whether she personally witnessed it or not. Unfortunately she seems to be carrying alot of her mother’s pains on her own shoulder. But perhaps it makes her a better person for it.

Totally agree. I suffered severe depression at one time in my life. I wanted out. My son is 34 now. At 14yrs old he sat on my bed and told me he didn't understand as I can do anything you like. You can achieve anything. I was so humbled I got up the following day and never looked back. He saved my life. I totally get why it's her best memory. My son will forever be my best achievement.

That was incredibly beautiful to watch. As a person that has never not known if there was going to be food at the table or if the bills would get paid, I realize how naïve it is for me to say money is not important now. She reminds me so much of my grandmother who would give to my drunk uncle plenty out of her paycheck to help him survive, he would blow it on booze and drugs. One day I asked her why she gave him money he wasted, she said that he was the only family other than my sisters and my mom, so it was the least she could do for him. Some generations struggle to see how incredible of a life that existed before now. Her daughter has not seen the wars or deaths her mom has, but for her to recognize those trials and tribulations everyday and choose to be beside her mom and strive to be the foundation that holds her mother's future is beautiful. Not all can see beyond one's own life enough to do that. The compassion I see in every one of The Skin Deep episodes are magical and give me perspectives I hope to make use of in my own life.

Unfortunately, opposite of her being able to save her mother's life, I was unable to save my mothers life. I tried to, I very much tried to revive her but she passed away in my arms as I was trying to do so. A very much haunting experience that destroyed my life from that dreadful night because I failed.
