I've been Age-restricted, had a video deleted, and worst of all my entire channel with 500 videos completely DELETED by KZbin last June because of a video I made about a popular comic series. After a month of review they miraculously restored the channel, but the mindless censorship is ever-present.

@x x Usually, when that happens, it's a simple programming error, or a technical issue on your end. I've had it happened to me. And every time it's happened to me, something as simple as restarting your device, closing the app and opening it again, or deleting the cache from the app (safari if you're using an IPhone), fixes the problem and my comments stick.

Hi GIV - first, if YT is going to punish you for a video you made, they should at least tell you specifically what the issue is. Also, I think a big part of why so many of us enjoy your videos is because you DON'T upload daily content just for the sake of doing it. I know channels like that and their content is boring, lazy and uncreative. YOUR efforts DO SHOW in your videos - you can tell that you put a lot of work into your stuff and I think that is why so many people subscribe to you. At any rate - I WILL watch the new version of your Pam video and I hope a lot of others do too so hopefully you can recoup some of the money you lost because of whatever "violation" you supposedly made.

YT is like an abusive parent... you can't get away from them, but you never know when they are going to lash out at you. Your video was AWESOME, I loved every second of it, and it was 100% perfect for any age. They are simply picking on you, as they do many others too. In fact channels that have millions of dollars invested, are deleted without warning and without recourse. No strikes, no notice, no chance to fix it. Nope, just POOF and channel is gone. I think you can figure out which channels. But even ones that are extremely careful about what they say, bleep and blur everything. If they want you gone, they just do it. Long Live the GIV.

KZbin seems to be experiencing a nervous breakdown. They can't stand their own success and the success of top content creators like the GIV. Hard to believe the cherished advertisers would be crapping in their pants about anything that Mike puts out - its all pure information, documentation, and entertainment. Absolutely nothing that any sane advertiser would back away from. I saw the Pam Anderson video and it was 100% free of anything that a normal person could consider offensive. I spent months making a video about three European comics artists (from France, Italy and Slovenia). KZbin Age-Restricted it because there was a few seconds of nipples on an illustration of the ancient Egyptian goddess Bastet. I went back and painstakingly blurred out the image and appealed. Within less than an hour they replied that it will remain Restricted. No explanation. It totally killed all the views on it. Your video here already has more views than mine has gotten in months.

I drive by that every time I go surfing. I liked the LG headquarters blue and the 2 story the way it was before remodeling. I was always around those clips because of the work I did with the TV show and SurfRider Foundation. I remember one episode later in the show with Nichole Eggert and they had her dancing in the rain on the rock jetty. It was in the late afternoon in the summer and they sprayed water in the air for rain. And as always its windy and cold in the summer and actors always have to cover up right away. Kind of deceiving for those out of state. They come to California beaches int he summer and wonder why its cold. I like your vids. Sorry that people make vid of you just to get their own views. They're not consistent in what videos they allow, which they take down etc. They should at least tell people why they are restricting their videos - how the heck are you supposed to learn if you don't know what you did wrong? I am sorry this happened to you ! But I don’t think there is a way to argue with KZbin about that from what I have heard. There is just too much content on the internet for them to review every case in person. There is a great documentary about how content moderation on social media works. It’s called The Cleaners. I highly recommend it. It’s about thousands of low paid workers in the Philippines that do this job.

This is also another good video of GIV. Unlike all those trust fund babies just filming whatever their everyday lives are and making more money exponentially due to the fact they already have tons of resources and time to dedicate. Mike: KZbin does have something where after you upload a video and there's some copyrighted music it gives you the option to delete that section (which can still be clumsy, of course). And also I think they have an option still in BETA where you will be able to Mute only the music without affecting your own narration.
