In CFYOW Novel it’s stated that Aizen doesn’t want to fight him using KS also Aizen at that state doesn’t us KS anymore he wasn’t sane at all

It's just a joke anyway, I did get your reference from the 1st comment. Hyosube rewrites reality while Aizen's would be something like infinite tsukuyomi...

@Gpik1999-ds Yeah, I see what you mean. I had personally imagined that Kubo would make Aizen's bankai immediately pull you into your own pocket dimension of his making. And within the pocket dimension Aizen creates ,an entire illusionary reality is conjured, except any damage created by the illusion is real damage But that is just what I imagined as a suitable bankai. Basically he could create his own multiverse. Because a new pocket space is created for each victim. And the size and durability of the pocket spaces would depend on how much Rietsu he chooses to pour into it. Potentially his pocket space could consume the whole universe or more and then his pocket spaces would transform into a hyperspace. An "illusionary Hyperspace" where he reigns as God over everyone trapped within.

I think I read in CFYOW ( it was either volume 2 or 3 ) that Shinji said that Aizen told him he flat out refuses to use Kyoka Suigetsu on Ichigo.

To me is more frustrating how he hasn't used his bankai yet, by now the only explenations are that he either doesn't have one (wich would be weird since he said that he has reached the limit of his shingami abilities) or it's just useless. Even if the fan theory that it would disable Kyoka Suigetsu doesn't make sense why he didn't use it in situations like his fight with Yamamoto instead of using Wonderweiss, i immagine it took time and effort to make. A lot of people think that we are gonna see it against Ywhatch in the anime but it wouldn't make sense, Ywhatch is on another level compared to Aizen and he was able to easily nullify kyoka suigetsu.

@@ramadanismani9623 If you're talking about phasing through things, he couldn't. That was explained by Obito. As for sucking things in, easiest answer would be he couldn't since someone would attack him while he tried.

It wouldn't have worked. It's explained KS can only temporarily put people under his power level under hypnosis for a limited time. Those with more power ot doesn't really work. Like it would start to take effect then immediately ware off. Read CFYOW.

The reason why Aizen didn’t use his Shikai on ichigo is because Aizen sees ichigo as an equal to his power, which allowed aizen to evolve more during his fight against ichigo, Aizen only uses his shikai on those who he deems are lesser than him in terms of power & ideologies.

then what about old yama or kenpachi then or the div zero he'll have to face at some point for me combining kyoka suigetsu and the hogyoku is the better option for training to face the raoyal guards. it doesn't change that ichigo beats him in some ways that the author can write but using pride as a reason is not an off for me since he created a speial hollow to face yama

@@Iondaime100 the difference is that aizen sees shinigamis are inferior and vizords as failed experiments whereas ichigo is a perfect fit between all. Thats why when he fought ichigo he said he was disappointed because he thought ichigo discarded all his power for physical strength. Its also why aizen was saying how he transcended hollow and shinigamis.

@Lime962 aizen said himself that he's no match against Yamaji. And at that point he was already fused with the hogyoku. So not using KS on ichigo is just so ichigo can get a believable win

Well against dangai ichigo there is a case to be made that ichigo’s wayy superior reiatsu would just negate kyokasuigetsu since it hasn’t been activated on him once and aizen himself stated that reiatsu density can determine life or death with any ability that has a certain effect to take place on one target only like soi fon’s two hit kill shikai but that might be a stretch

If that is the case then Dangai Ichigo would have to of been crazy stronger then Aizen, since in the TYBW arc Aizen was still able to use Kyokasuigetsu against someone like Yhwach with the Almighty active.

@@baka-chan6363 Well in TYBW it has been stated that aizen was constantly growing while sealed off in prison so realistically he should be as strong as butterfly aizen or even stronger since his kurohitsugi was wayy bigger even without a full incantation which should be indicative of his power. Also Yhwach while being strong never had any statements of having a “higher dimension of reiatsu” than TYBW aizen Meanwhile dangai ichigo made butterfly aizen question his existence since ichigo exuded no reiatsu to him at all, stating that his reiatsu level is so much higher than his so it could be possible that dangai ichigo is wayy stronger than any form of aizen

@@baka-chan6363The gap between Monster Aizen and Dangai Ichigo is bigger than the gap between Aizen and Yhwach. That's really all we can assume since and a big supporting factor is that pre-dangai Ichigo was able to sense a monster Aizen while monster Aizen wasn't able to sense a post-Dangai Ichigo, aswell as the fact Ichigo was gonna use Mugetsu no matter what in that fight if Dangai wasn't enough to negate the effects, Mugetsu definitely would have.

This is especially possible given that Soi Fon used her attack against Aizen and Aizen neutralized it with raw power.

@@quibble9003or there is just a big difference in power between a perfect state Hirako and an almost dead, extremely tired and weakened Soi Fon. The gap between Aizen and peak Shinji is not the same between Aizen and an extremely weakened Soi Fon.

Aizen stated a battle of shinigami is a battle of spiritual power. Once ichigo’s spiritual power became stronger than Aizen’s he would have been able to overcome it.

@@victorwong6976 no bro just actually read.. kyoka suigetsu doesn't need to be cast repeatedly, once you are in it, it never goes away. aizen cast his shikai on yhwach in the prison on the first invasion, when yhwach was really weak compared to when he awakens the almighty. so when he fights at the end, aizen already had it cast on him, and even then it doesn't fully work, only barely confuses him for a split second.

Aizen still gets clapped. No one can touch Yhwach in a 1v1. Even when jumping him it's impossible to win as shown unless Ishida and the arrow are involved. Ishida is Yhwachs "Antithesis". Born to stop him

Can’t someone with a high enough SP be able to overcome Kyoka Suigetsu? Kind of like what Aizen did to Soi Fon? Ichigo was stated to be at a higher level than Aizen at that point so just curious.

In theory... maybe. But Aizen is the only person to ever show such a feat and it was versus an ability from a person already under the influence of Kyoka Suigetsu, that requires making physical contact and from a person not even remotely in the same ballpark of SP as Aizen. It's just as likely that she never hit him to begin with, be it due to his SP just stopping her from making contact, via illusion or both.

It was able to affect Yhwach so it doesn’t matter how much stronger you are compared to Aizen. When it came to Ichigo, he just didn’t bother to use it against him since he didn’t feel the need to and even Ichigo said himself at the end of their battle that secretly Aizen wanted to lose.

@@KyoryuDiabolos it affected yhwach but it didn't put him in hypnosis. he was literally all good except he thought he spent less time with him than he actually did. and he wasn't even battle ready or nearly at full power yet. if you mean at the end, aizen is significantly more powerful than he was in the fight with ichigo, and again it barely partially worked on him, he also had it cast on him before yhwach got the almighty.

Not without touching the sword. He often uses it as a double for himself so when we watch him speak it’s likely the sword and not him standing there rambling. He also maintains distance in such a fashion that touching him is likely the only way to break the illusion

The reason is this. He couldn’t. He transmogrified his soul to much trying to become like ichigo. His wish was to transcend both soul-reapers and hollows. His Zanpactou was so mutilated and disconformed with Aisen through forced merger that he couldn’t release his Zanpactou as he himself Became his own Zanpactou like ichigo is. He however also WANTED to loose to ichigo his perfect creation subconsciously which the Hogyoku granted. As it fulfills the desires inside the hearts of the ones who wield it. The truth is Aisen wanted to become the soulking but knew inside his soul that he wanted ichigo to be the true perfect being. And the hogyoku listened. And let ichigo win.

Probably because Aizens blade feel betrayed when Aizen fused hogyoku with his power and the upbringing power is controlling Aizen more than he’s controlling himself from Kyoga Suigetsu. Later on maybe Aizen start connecting with his blade again and thus get to use on Ywach Bach again. (The Zanpakuto Rebellion Arc says a lot about connection between Shinigami and their blades.)

if you return to the episode after ichigo beat aizen ichigo said that the only thing he felt from aizen's sword was loneliness which speaks volumes about his personality you can tell that he reached a level no one could and as you know the higher the success the lower the foes and being on top of the power hierarchy means you are alone on top with all that being said adding that hogyoko manifests the user desires, aizen wished for a match and that was ichigo that's why he didn't want to overwhelm him and wanted to go brute force

I do have an argument and I might be wrong but I thought if somebody’s spiritual pressure is significantly higher than you wouldn’t be effected by the effects of somebody’s Zanpakuto which we saw when soi fon hit Aizen with her suzume bachi and during Aizens fight with ichigo he finds out that Ichigos spiritual pressure was so high that he couldn’t even feel it so in theory even if Aizen wanted to use his kyoka suigetsu it wouldn’t effect Ichigo

@@danamakanyan He does. Ichigo's power in that state was far beyond Aizen that Aizen couldn't sense it. Isshin, Kisuke and Yoruichi are all captains with immense spiritual pressure and none of them could sense Aizen. Ichigo was able to sense Aizen before even training in the Dangai. It's why Aizen before Dangai Ichigo appeared was remarking about how a transcendental being cannot be sensed unless they brought their reiatsu down to the level of those they want to sense them. Aizen felt nothing from Ichigo and surmised he discarded his power because of Ichigo being far, FAR beyond Aizen's comprehension. When Ichigo went into the Final Getsuga form Aizen realised that the reason why he couldn't sense Ichigo was because Ichigo was on an even higher level.

I was under the impression aizen literally let his guard down so that the hogyoku would make him stronger, and we kept seeing that with him evolving over all the fights, he needed ichigo as his test subject because he was the only one who had the potential to grow powerful enough to force that growth onto himself.

Aizen knew about the time frame it took for Quincy to reform. He likely was focused on breaking the barrier between hollow and soul reaper because of the Quincy’s ability to affect both parties negatively. Without the barrier you get Ichigo who has the bonus Quincy blood. It’s a perfect weapon against a future threat

Well, remember that Aizen didn’t want to necesario beat Ichigo. He always let him live so that Ichigo may still oppose him and not leave him alone at the top. Now, we don’t even know if ks would have affected dangai Ichigo when the fight started since Ichigo was basically one dimension higher than Aizen, but either way, Aizen just didn’t want to. Even in tybw he says he’s glad he decided not to use ks on Ichigo because it turned out for the better

I thought it was pretty obvious that after he infused with hyogoku and transformed, he became too drunk on his power and was too arrogant to the point he couldn't understand that Ichigo became more powerful than him. Even when they clashed their sword, He thinks his swings obliterated mountains next to them. He stopped scheming after the fusion and just thought there would be no one who could possibly stop him at that point.

There are alot of potential explanations for this but my personal headcannon is that like when Obito became the Ten Tails Jinchuriki, he lost access to Kamui, Kubo wrote himself into a corner and had to find a way to bypass it.

Complete hypnosis gets overwritten by insane amount of reiatsu.. so yeah. That's why it doesn't work on Yamamoto cuz of how insane his. same goes for Ichigo since even before dangai state he has already beyond Captain level riatsu.

He was partially, but not fully fused with KS after his post-Chrysalis state. Since Ichigo never saw the Shikai release, it is also possible that Aizen, having merged with his blade, could not possibly release his shikai since his blade was part of him, but not enough like in the TYBW where the blade isn't even needed anymore. Add of course, all the canon reasons that did not allow him to use it in the first place.

Correction to you, senpai, during the fight between them, Aizen thought that Ichigo gave up on reiatsu for raw power and he let his guard completely down since aizen's cocoon transformation while having the hogyoku, he won't need to guard anymore. So he wasn't really thnking that Ichigo will be able to reach his level until Kurohitsugi broke singlehandedly from ichigo.

Aizen's ability only works on those with lower reiatsu than him to the level. Aizen ciulent even sense Ichigo's reiatsu at the time because he was in a higher plane

It's the same reason you don't cheat during a test. Aizen knows KS guarantees him a win, he won't evolve if he doesn't struggle. Also, we don't know how KS works too. Maybe he can't dispel individuals from it. If he dispels one person, everyone gets dispelled. This is why EVERYONE sees the same illusion. This would undo years of getting everyone under complete hypnosis.

Honestly i felt aizen see ichigo as his greatest guinea pig for experiment that he didnt see ichigo as a threat. Aizen's 2 products: Ichigo is the natural embodiment of shinigami, hollow, and quincy created accidentally as a byproduct; houkyouku is the artificial option. Suigetsu affects those who initially weren't aware of it but not someone who is already cautious of it. Later on, aizen grows insanely proud of his new prowess that he go straight up upfront reiatsu battle rather than sane critical thinking battle.

I always figured that during his final fight he assumed he did not need a zanpakuto and even if he did, Ichigo transended past him so he was probably not able to be effected by it.

There is only one answer. Aizen never wanted to win, he's very rarely honest in the series. He knew everything about the Quincys the soul king all of it. He knew the soul society was not ready for the Quincy or any threat of a similar power so he did what no one thought to do. Cultivate the power himself by creating enemies to test everyone. We know he lies a lot because when he said he doesn't need his sword so he got rid of it, that was obviously a lie, he lies about what it did for years, he lied about actually being imprisoned, he simply was playing the longest game and knew there was only one person who could do everything required once he had met Ichigo possibly even before.

Because Aizen knew that Ichigo would’ve expected it since the reason Ichigo was the one tasked with fighting Aizen aside from his power was the fact he never saw The released of it and was warned of that specific fact multiple times and ofc Aizen knew this so he jus never bothered trying to get it off- and also him technically not needing it since he was evolving in power

Forgot one thing. In clashes or pressure ichigo win which means if that law count since ichigo blocked even 90 kido, he can just burst away the hypnosis with his own energy

I have a theory, aizen is 500+ old and a captain so he definitely has bankai, but why he did not use against ichigo ever?? May be aizen bankai has some flaws like zaraki when zaraki use bankai he can't even control his own immense power so may be aizen bankai is so powerful that it can couse trouble to aizen itself

Aizen states when fighting Soi Fon that if your raw spiritual pressure exceeds your opponent’s by a great amount you can overpower their ability through raw strength. Aizen later states that Dangai Ichigo’s power is on a higher plane then his own which is to say that Dangai Ichigo is in another league in terms of power compared to Aizen, which if you remember is the reason Aizen is unable to feel Ichigo’s power at all. Considering these things it can be guessed that Aizen neglected to use kyoka Suigetsu against Dangai Ichigo simply because it wouldn’t have worked.

I seem to agree with multiple theories here, dungai form had enough power to break through illusion effects also this makes up for ichigo somehow being affected. When everyone thought they were fighting aizen so did he till the illusion breaks and he screams, "what are u guys doing!"

I would really like one scene where they show this "ceremony" of him showing his release... because it seems to me it's like complicated, when releasing, especially, shikai is just superquick/easy in most cases...

So many people in the comments seem to forget, i dont know the reason but both in karakura war arc and in last chapter of TYBW kyoka suigetsu doesn't work on İchigo, even aizen stated "its pity i cant show you my kyoka suigetsu's ability" İchigo seems to have natural immunity to Aizen's zanpakuto way before his dangai form

A person has to see Kyōka Suigetsu the moment it's released in order to be put under its spell. After that Aizen can activate the hypnosis whenever he wants as long as he's in Shikai. Ichigo never saw the release which it why the Gotei 13 viewed him as their secret weapon. Aizen was already in Shikai when Ichigo arrived at the battlefield so in order to put him under hypnosis he would have to deactivate his Shikai then reactivate it while Ichigo was looking directly at it. Something Ichigo knew already

I think the issue with Aizen using his bankai on Ichigo is he would just turn into hallow Ichigo breaking him free which I believe if you can set yourself free from the hypnosis then you would be immune to it after. Which explains why Aizen is very careful about using it until he fights the Captains he needs to have more information than them.

even if aizen used it, in dangai form the spirit pressure is so great that it was the inverse of when ichigo first met aizen an he couldn't comprehend the spiritual pressure. thats why aizen didn't think ichigo was anywhere near his level because ichigo was actually so far above that aizen couldnt feel it until a specific point

It’s more likely that sensed that it was meaningless to use a his shikai against ichigo Dongai. It was stated that Ichigo was so unfathomably stronger than Aizen. It is possible that Ichigo would just instantly dodge or preceive his sword the moment it hits his skin. Remember when Yamamoto got pass Kyoka Suigetsu by letting himself get hit and grabbing him to hit a kido? Dongai Ichigo at that point can just grab the Aizen’s blade with his hands which means the moment the blade touches ichigo he can just react to it and basically blitz Aizen . Dongai literally threw around Aizen without Aizen being able to react to it. Using Kyoka as a means to hit Ichigo would put Aizen at vulnerable spot because Ichigo was just that much stronger than he was. Don’t get me wrong Kyoka would still work on Dongai Ichigo but it’s Impractical because Ichigo was too powerful at that time. Remember Kyoka tricked Almighty Yhwach but Aizen had to also get hit and take damage hence why Ichigo had to be the one to deal the killing blow. Kyoka is OP but it has it’s limitations. It can be sensed, if the blade is touched or is in contact with the person . Kyoka cannot kill a person directly someone has to be the one to deal a killing blow. Conclusion: The moment Aizen’s blade touches Dongai Ichigo he will just instantly counter or grab his blade like he did in the manga and anime. It was also evident that Dongai Ichigo was vastly faster than Aizen in that form.

I mean to give ichigo massive props, the dude came in prepared to beat kyoka suigetsu. I remember someone telling me that the reason why ichigo left his hair long was so that he would actually mostly not see Aizen’s sword and with how they fought that plan would have worked because I don’t even think Aizen would have noticed ichigo doing that. Once ichigo grabs the sword I’m sure the fight would’ve just gone about the same after that, but he knew what to do.

aizen states that zanpakuto abilities can be surpassed by simply having a higher amount of reiatsu. either it was aizen or someone else mentioned it. but it’s mentioned in the show. and tf that ichigo at dangai was far surpassing aizen kyoka suigetsu should have no effect on him

Bro Ichigo had a Rietsu level that was 2 or maybe 3 dimensions of power greater than Aizen's during their battle. Hax don't work with such a vast Rietsu difference unless the higher dimensional Rietsu lowers itself to the lower dimension. Don't you remember what happened in the CFYOW novel when the villain copied aizen's "Complete Hypnosis"? Was he able to put everyone under Hypnosis like Aizen or not? If you read the novel then you should know what happened and the explanation that was given.

Two theories : Aizen didn't want to use it since he saw ichigo as rival that can actually go against him, Its his philosophy/mind set, He felt lonely since he surpassed every body ( That's what ichigo said when he talked to Urahara about Aizen ) Second theory : High SP can cancel the effect of Aizen's sword ( An example of that is Soi-Fon's sword effect being canceled by Aizen's high SP )

Aizen came to the end of his kyoka suigetsu power storage, he said it himself during the fight with Isshin and Urahara. No power lasts forever and that’s why all captains never remained their shikai or bankai released at all time. At the end of kyoka suigetsu Aizen started fusing with the hogyoku

A fight between soul reapers is reiatsu/reiatsu. If both reiatsus match, then the right becomes a strength V strength match. That’s why Old man Yama was able to catch his strike when he was stabbed despite being under the hypnosis. Aizen prepared for this but still underestimated him.

I never thought about ichigo touching his zanpakto. When ichigo grabbed his blade he was shocked. He never expected that. I'm pretty sure aisen realized then that it wouldn't work. He was way more powerful than anyone at that point to even think about using it right off the bat. Hubris is a powerful drug.

Aizen doesnt use his release on Ichigo cause he shows it for all captains when he was promoted and from that time his sword was always active. Toshiro asked him during battle when he done this and Aizen said 'Since when were you under impression that i wasnt usin kyoka suigetsu' and Ichigo was only one that didnt saw his zanpakuto activation

He no longer could use that power while he was fused with his blade. I think anyone that seen it prior could be affect but ichigo never saw it so what it takes to activate was no longer optional for aizen. Cause you have to see the release and aizen can no longer do the release

He didn't use it because it would allow for room in his mind that he wasn't the undeniable master of the hyogoku. Using an illusion to fight would mean his power was not ultimate. He thought it was, he needed it to be.
