See, I have this question, but with Dragon Ball Super: Sure, Future Trunks didn't know where New Namek was at the start of the saga, and couldn't go there to revive everyone to defeat the androids. But after he goes to the past the second time, before returning after Cell's defeat, why didn't he ask the Z-Fighters or Present Bulma and Goku to help him find where New Namek is? If Future Bulma could build a time machine while the androids were running amok, she could've built a ship to get to there if they had the coordinates. Or, Trunks could've spent a bit more time in the past learning Instant Transmission so he could get to New Namek.

In this situation Kami or Piccolo definitely would've hit up King Kai to use the Namekian dragon balls to come back and then merged. And given that they already knew what the Androids were capable of they probably would've spent some time training before coming back. But even if they didn't I have no doubt them plus 3 super saiyans(Gohan, Trunks, and Vegeta) would've been more than enough to defeat the much weaker future versions of the androids

It might take a few months to master but after Trunks masters it, he can teleport to the new namek there and there's the rest. Bulma had already created a Dragon Ball radar which could have been amplified, and be used to find Dragon Balls even further away, but the Z fighters and their families including Bulma were never that greedy to have Bulma do that. The Earth's Dragon Balls were almost always enough for them until Piccolo died. However, Bulma could have certainly made a Dragon Ball radar that reaches much further if needed, cause she's a walking big brain. I think what held her back was just not having the resources to make such a radar, because most of the world is in ruin at that time. Remember she had that same trouble making the time machine. Trunks only had enough fuel for x2 trips then. :)

When Goku grabbed Dendé and brought him back to earth, the idea should've came to Trunks right then. Find out where new namek is. Hell Bulma was there. That should've been her whole mission in Trunks' time line. Find out where new namek is. "Trunks, you're going to the past. Find out where new namek is and we could go there and bring everyone back! In the meantime I'll build a ship that could get us there in no time!" the future time line was intentionally ambigious, mainly because those details aren´t important enough to be talked about (you know , the seemingly plotholes in the special). you could still ask a million questions about the future timeline but toryama was more focused on the main timeline and the future timeline special... just think of it as a glimpse of what really happened in the future. but don´t get things mixed, i am not saying that thinking about answers to these questions aren´t stupid or anything, i am just saying that the special isn´t stupid because the fighters can do this or that but they didn´t and it doesn´t make sense or anything, toryama just left it ambigious to make it seem mysterious and that we can only speculate about it.

If Trunks did go to new Namek to wish everyone back, it would work. Unlike Shenrong, Porunga can revive someone an unlimited amount of times as long as the death wasn't natural. Plus, we learned in the Buu Saga, that after their encounter with Freeza, Maury, the new eldest Namek, decided to give the Namek dragon balls an upgrade and that Porunga now had no limit to the number of lives to be restored. So if they went to the New Namek, they CAN revive EVERYONE!

They didn't know where the original Planet Namek was at first, either. King Kai gave them the coordinates and they were programmed into the ship. The only way Trunks would be able to find out where the new planet Namek is would be to go to King Kai's and ask. But Trunks can not enter Kin Kai's world because only the dead or a planet's guardian like Kami can. A living being can only enter if a Kai brings them there or if they know instant transmission.

So, after future Trunks trained with Vegeta in the Hyperbolic time chamber he became strong enough to defeat Android 18 and android 17, but not strong enough to defeat Perfect Cell. Which it showed after Trunks went back to his future (after Gohan defeated Cell) and defeated Android 18 and 17 and later on Imperfect Cell. At this point Trunks would have knowledge of the Dragon Balls and the Namekians from the time he spent in the past. So, at this point after having defeated Cell in the future, Trunks should've saught out a way to find New Namek in his Timeline to find Dragon Balls in his timeline to wish the Z fighters in his timeline back to life. Even if it means traveling back to the past to find out the coordinates (or to find out how to find the coordinates) of New Namek in Future Trunk's timeline; and then Trunks traveling in a spaceship with a Dragonball radar to New Namek to wish back to life all the Z fighters from that timeline.

I just realized something, when the Namekian survivors wish for a New Planet Namak, Porunga wouldn't have any reason to move it to a different space sector, so technically, it should be in the location as the original. Another example to support this is when Kid Buu destroyed Earth, and it was later revived; the planet didn't relocate elsewhere in the Solar System. When it was presumed that Goku perished during the destruction of Namek, Yamcha, Tien, and Chiatzou suggest that they ask Porunga to resurrect Goku. However, King Kai strongly objects to this plan since he knows that once a person is revived, they return to the planet of their death. But at this point, Namek was no more, and if Goku was dead and restored in this manner, he would've materialized in the vacuum of space precisely where old Namek USED to be, only to die again! So long story short, Future Bulma theoretically knows where to find New Namek!

Here's how I would have seen it go down: Goku dies, so naturally he'd go to King Kai's world. Eventually, either King Kai, or a freshly killed Gohan would inform Goku of what was going on, and then they'd contact Trunks to tell him where new Namek is. Trunks would fly there, use the Namekian dragon balls to bring back Piccolo (because he would need the earth's dragon balls), Gohan, and probably Goku (sorry Vegeta, Trunks would want to see you but I'm sure that based on info given to him by Bulma and Gohan, he'd know that Goku is their best bet.) After Piccolo gets revived he fuses with Kami. In our timeline, he and Kami fused because Cell was wiping out everyone. The future androids have nearly driven humans to extinction, I think Kami and Piccolo would fuse under these circumstances. As a super Namekian, Piccolo would absolutely be able to wipe the floor with Future 17 and 18, considering he was rocking our 17 (the strongest of the androids, and was stated by trunks to be far stronger than the 17 of his timeline.) Piccolo would kill the androids, with Gohan and Goku probably giving him a hand, and all before Trunks even has a chance to make it back from Namek. Eventually, Imperfect Cell would show up, but with no time machine ever having been built, he wouldn't be able to go to the past, and Piccolo, Gohan, Trunks and Goku would make quick work of him. Now, there's room for more here, though. With the dragon balls returning, the gang could very well start reviving the other z-fighters, however Imperfect Cell could also be searching for the dragon balls in order to revive the androids and achieve his perfect form. This could end up being its own arc of cell trying to outsmart the z-warriors and collect the dragon balls for himself.

The massive plot holes with the whole future story along with the the Androids somehow being stronger than Frieza just really confirms to me that Akira had nothing after the Frieza saga because it was supposed to be the end so he just had to pull dumb shit out of him and his team's ass. King Kai would of instantly started talking to Gohan after he loss his arm, seeing that as a massive red flag. When Gohan dies he would of then contacted Trunks and started to help him save Earth. The wishes you bring up is a bad cop out, they wished for the people killed by Frieza to come back to life, which allowed them to resurrect more than 1 Namekian. Trunks could of wished for all the Z fighters that were killed by the Androids to come back to life on Planet Namek. Then he could of wished for Gohan to have his arm back if he doesnt come with it back. After that all they would need to do is train on Namek and then return home.

Even though Future Goku's death was a natural cause, I just don't get why he wasn't able to be brought back anyway because 1, I remember in the anime where Piccolo said that anyone can be brought back as many times he sees fit.. and 2, Goku kept his body and seems in good shape in the manga, and his halo should disappear and be brought back to life if anyone made the wish

The Android Saga was POORLY written. There's NO WAY the present Androids should be stronger than the future Androids. Cell coming back in time DIDN'T change anything. He didn't come in contact with anyone. He landed in the forest then went under ground for 3yrs, NO CONTACT. Yet Trunks blames him for the changes.

Trunks going back to present timeline changed a lot of things actually for multiple reasons. 1- in the future timeline goku killed both freeza and king Cold and we know how goku has a bad habit of not going all out unlike trunks who killed them with two blows and fitire Goku didn’t train after that whoch explains why he got the heart virus earlier than the present timeline. 2- in the future timeline goku died after 2 years and 6 months i’m sure doctor Gero who wanted to kill goku was aware of goku’s death and therefore he stopped empowering the androids, in the present timeline goku trained within the 3 years and doctor Gero’s spy robots recorded that so he had to increase the power of android 17 and 18 and he also started working on android 16 so it makes perfect sense that Gero made present Androids 17 and 18 stronger.

Good explanation but didnt the Namekians in the current timeline say that they buffed their dragon balls to match the Earth dragon balls becaue of Frieza? So assuming the future timeline Namekians did the same, the Namekian dragon balls can bring everyone back killed by the androids except Goku since he was killed by a virus. But yeah.. Future Trunks timeline sucks..
