You have the right size tractor for hauling a load of firewood. You have gained some efficiency in gathering wood. I always try to come up with ways to make my tasks easier. That's driven by age, low back problems etc.. Anything that saves time and effort is an asset.

@@matthewnasci2646 that tractor hardly knows there's any wood on the trailer at all! Cheers

Now that is working smarter, not harder! I always wonder why more people don’t catch their splits instead of letting them fall to the ground. I am only a home user, but I bring the rounds to my splitter in a garden cart and toss the splits inept o a 2-wheeled wheel barrow to take and stack. I am now 75 yo, but I learned that about 25 years ago ! Ha ha

@@harpoonlouis you noticed one of the best features on that trailer.... snow removal, debris removal.... only a problem when I want to haul manure, dirt or wood chips... then I use cardboard or a tarp

Hmmm! Home made purpose built trailer.vintage tractor with possibly home made splitter. Ingenuity, resourcefulness to the extreme. I’ll bet you hardly spent a dime. Our forefathers knew how to build and improvise. Kudos! 💪

This is close to the set up I used with my behind tractor wood spitter but it takes a 4430/4440 to handle the weight, made it way too heavy in 1968😢😢😢

Make wooden high sides for the cart, easy to double the capacity for it, with no effort stacking the wood on the sides.

Winter is sneaky like that, no WARNING that it is coming like that every year when you live in the cold North. And fresh split wood doesn't burn like seasoned wood...hint hint.
