So I made this for breakfast this morning. It was delicious, but I needed six eggs to deal with half a head of cabbage plus one whole onion. In the future, I might also add garlic powder and some red bell pepper. My husband wants me to add ham or bacon. LOL What a great way to get in some healthful veggies. Thank you! :-)

Cabbage. The US’ most underrated vegetable. People don’t get how mild and yummy it is cooked. Filling, cheap, healthy This looks great. Tomorrow’s dinner. 👍

Exista o reteta similară cu cartofi care este foarte apreciata in bucătăria turcească. Cred ca se numește Künefa. Doamna cara a arătat pe You Tube aceasta reteta avea un capac foarte profesional, special de întors lucrurile din tigaie. Am întrebat-o și a zis ca in Turcia e ceva care se vinde in orice magazin. Aici nu l-am găsit, am întrebat și nu au decât tigăi cu un capac plat care e mai mic in diametru decât tigaia proprie, cică pt a prăji Peștele și a lasă grăsimea sa se scurga. In orice caz, o sa incerc reteta cu varza. Îmi place varza sub orice forma și asta pare una foarte gustoasa ☺️

Love watching this because she only uses everyday utensils and the dish always looks so appetising. Brilliant ways of doing potatoes and cabbage and other simple ingredients. Very refreshing not to have all the drama of the usual professional chefs etc.

I made this recipe this evening for dinner and it was delicious. The only problem was that I didn't have sour cream, yogurt, or my favorite salsa to use as a condiment. It was easy to prepare and is now a staple meal in my home. Thank you for posting it.

I made this to use up the leftover small leaves and core after making stuffed cabbage (Golumpkis). It was was EXCELLENT and I will put this into my breakfast rotation. THANK YOU Olesea!

Сегодня приготовила! Тушила под крышкой. Все прекрасно получилось! Для всех сомневающихся: ничто не пригорает ( вы ведь не станете делать большой огонь?! 😜) , все протушивается, капуста мягкая, ароматная. Я еще специй втюхала по максимуму😋 по своему вкусу, вышла бомба! Если кто готовит большие драники на всю сковороду, схема та же. Приятно, что вкус сильно отличается и от тушеной капусты, и от жареной.

omg... Maria Emmerich had this in one of her first cook books I bought. DELICIOUS! More so even if you love cabbage and eggs by themselves! Also if you use more than 3 eggs or baking powder you won't need flour if thT isn't your thing.

I found your video today and immediately found it appealing. Love is also my favorite ingredient too. I showed this to my wife and we prepared it right away. Its cooking now exactly as you had shown with foil cover and cutting board cover too. Had to pass along my thank you!

I used a fairly small head of cabbage (half, plus some), one onion, the flour (80 g is about 5/8 cup) and 4 eggs, but it still wasn't enough egg. Despite constant mixing, it was difficult to incorporate. Needless to say, it kind of fell apart. I had made this before, and it turned out well, and then it dawned on me. Previously, I sauteed the cabbage and onion first, let it cool down, then did the rest of the mixing in a bowl. It makes it much easier to thoroughly mix it all together. It's a really good recipe, similar in some ways, to a Spanish tortilla. If you don't have a cover for your pan, aside from foil, you can also use a silicone lid or even a pizza pan in a pinch. У меня была на сегодня не молодая капуста, помельче порежьте. Ну очень замечательный рецепт, быстро и вкусно. На запах моя йорк прибежала и тоже маленький кусочек слямзала! Накрывала просто крышкой .

In Japan it is called “Okinomiyaki”. Each region has its own style. I prefer Hiroshima style. You can find a Okinomiyaki restaurant everywhere in Japan. This recipe looks good also. I will definitely give it a try.

If you can find an Asian store, also get something called "tenkasu". It improves the texture. (because this is a Japanese dish called Okonomiyaki, but without the bacon and tenkasu). The bacon goes on the bottom, in thin slices, to protect the cabbage and egg from burning.

I was also thinking it needed kielbasa on the side. I am guessing however, that this is a meal developed by people who did not have a lot of meat available.

Looks delicious, inexpensive and easy. Perfect for a weeknight meal. Personally I'd add a bit of cooked bacon or ham as well.

I really love this recipe. I adapted it in that I fry the onion in butter and add 200g chopped bacon to the onions and cook. Then add this to the cabbage and follwo the rest of the recipe. Never knew cabbage could taste so devine.

Benedetto Bruno you can use chick pea or yellow peas flour or mung bean flour. I buy the dried beans and blend them to a fine powder. Just as good as regular flour.

I loved this recipe. For my 2nd one because I am of Italian descent I used red cabbage which gave it a sweeter flavor and added 11/2 tbsp of water to the eggs and added parsley and paprika. Of course I will always use your original recipe as a base and try different combinations. Thanks for sharing your recipe with us. Ciao from Little Italy Montréal Québec

sauropod, when read your comment I had to try the recipe your way. Its so tasty, much nicer with red cabbage. Tonight I made it but used chilli & garlic flakes. Topped with grated pecorino. 1.15am here in Ireland & i've just scoffed last of it. There goes the diet again. Take care & stay safe.

We make precooked shredded Brussels sprouts with eggs frequently, and we roast Brussels sprouts with fried onions and cheese. Both versions are very tasty. This looks like a combination of both dishes with addition of a flour, we will definitely try this version tomorrow with some healthier substitute for wheat flour.

Caralamise the cabbage and the onions first. Mix the eggs and the flour together with a little milk cook as shown. Brown the cheese topping under the grill. You’ll get a much better result 😁👍

Great easy meal, love this non-chattering ,calm site. To those asking about Red cabbage I've tried it and it leaks a LOT of red, fry it first and it's fine.
