Excellent answer! Job's wife already was attacked from collateral damage, no? she also lost all her children and belongings together with Job, she didn't get the physical illness like Job, but she did suffer too greatly, which led to her being bitter towards God.

The pastor misses on a few things. He calls it a Theophilus, describing Jesus as one of the 3 angels, but Theophilus is the name that Luke addresses in his gospel and in the book of Acts. I believe the pastor meant to say "theophany". He also misspoke by saying woman is created by Adam. I think we know what he means here, but as teachers and pastors, we really have to be more careful. A wise comment regarding the wife still suffering via collateral damage is true - she lost all of her children and proprietary belongings together with Job. And on top of this, we can maybe imagine that the wife (trying to) care of someone that is physically and emotionally wrought (Job) is also a very torturous undertaking for her to do. Ask people who have to live with and try to take care of an agonized spouse or child 24x7. The attack on Job and his family was likely also felt heavily by his wife. The target all along was Job, because of his righteousness and being the head priest figure of his household. But as the pastor pointed out, Job feared / dreaded the very thing that came to pass. And the lesson we learn from Holy Scripture and the account of Job is that this life the things of this earth are fleeting. And that we will be rewarded by the Lord for our faith in Him, whether that reward is on this earth or rather in the afterlife forever with Him.
