In Sims 2 they felt comfortable enough to have sharp angles. The Pizza is made of like 15 triangles at most and you can see the bends very easily. Maybe now they feel they can't do that anymore.

At this point, it is a wonder why they didn't just do what Nintendo has been doing and just do a remake of the Sims 2 with sims 4 graphics. Make the expansion packs add in sims 3 features, and release the better building tools of sims 4 slowly to the base game throughout the years while focusing on improving what Sims 2 & 3 were and ironing out the kinks. I remember my Male sim was having an affair with his wife's sister and the daughter saw this, left the lot and I made him come back. She went straight to him and they were fighting. The kids were crying hysterically because they were fighting, the dog was sleeping the neighbour's stole our newspapers. It was chaos. I did in the Sims 4, the wife's sister just had a conversation with the cheating husband. I laughed so hard my family was laughing. I told everyone in school, sims 2 is funny.

I used to love the Sims 2 when I was a kid and when I started getting back into the games around Sims 3 and Sims 4 I kept feeling a bit dissapointed like the game wasn't as good as I remembered or I was remembering parts of the game play wrong but after watching these videos I'm realizing that Sims 2 was simply better and the stuff I thought I was remembering wrong I was actually real. Like I specifically remember the pizza animation and for some reason loving it as a kid and I always feel a little cheated when I play later games and the same animation doesn't happen. It just makes the game feel bland to me without all the little details and quirks I loved

I Love the Sims 2 it was such a fun game. I always remember playing it one time and my Guy sim was making Breakfast for the family. His wife and son was sleeping upstairs while he had their toddler daughter down with him. A fire started at the stove and I was telling him to put it out but instead of listening to me, he took off running. I was lost to why he wasn't listening, so I followed him to see where he was running to. I found him in the living room where the toddler was playing and saw him grab her, he then took off running again with her in his arms and went outside. Once he was a few feet from the house he set her down and then went inside to do as I told him to do right as the firefighters showed up. I was in awe that he didnt panic like they always do but instead quickly and got his toddler out of the house, away from the fire.

The sims 2 is literally so good. I just started playing again and I'm addicted! The level of details in the game is unmatched honestly. I love that your sims have choices pop up in their work and sometimes if you pick the wrong one, your sim can get FIRED! I've never even had to worry about my sims ever getting fired in the sims 3. I LOVE how spontaneous the sims 2 is.

The difference between sims 2 and sims 4 is that when I play the sims 4, I feel like I’m playing a game. When I played the sims 2, I felt like I was in the game. The lack of details and the utterly bland interactions in the sims 4 breaks immersion. There’s some much to do in the sims 2, that you feel like you’re actually there and are just constantly stimulated by new things.

Sims 2 was my favorite. I loved making movies with them and it was so easy to download so much custom content to the game. I remember on the ea website they actually had different types of custom content that you could add right to your game and they were legit downloads. I never had any problems with custom content in sims 2. Also I liked with the custom content they had any sim for anybody's style and interest. It was awesome. Now it's hard to find specific custom content for sims 3 or 4. My computer can't handle sims 2 anymore though and I miss the ea's content site.

I hope that you do at least 1 of these challenges, the first is you have to make the BIGGEST house possible, making it so that the ENTIRE lot is used to build the house and you have you use every floor (you don’t have to use a basement), the second challenge is having to use EVERY build mode item in the game, I’d say just base game so that it’s not impossible but that’s up to you. I hope that you do one of these challenges but you don’t have to! I love your content and thank you for making me smile every day!!

Sims 2 was definitely the one I played most. I grew up with 1, played 3 the day it came out and hated it immensely and felt the same at sims 4. Something about 2 it had a feel to it that reminds me of the game boy or DS sims games. I made it to generation 5 with the Petrelli family I made based off the Heroes brothers with Sims 2 and haven’t been able to do that again with 3 or 4

Sims 2 put so much heart and soul in their animations, all the little details! So much realism! And it understood what details MATTERED! See, I think one of the problems with Sims 4 is not necessarily just a lack of animations/content/details, but also a complete misunderstanding of what matters. I can't imagine how many animations they must have had to do for all the eco living objects, all the machines from the scientist and doctor careers, all the celebrity stuff from Get Famous, the freaking STAR WARS PACK. But at the end of the day, do those matter that much? Are they that immersive? Do they add any personality or intimacy to the game? Not really. You know what would be more endearing? Floppy pizza. Kids having to sit on books to reach the table, or use a stool when brushing their teeth. A sim having to jump out of the shower because it got hot because someone flushed the toilet. Children dancing on their parents feet, or running up to show them their report card. Sims having pillow fights or tickling each other. Those are things that matter.

I forgot about all of these little things! While I grew up with Sims 1, it was Sims 2 that made me fall so hard for this game. with Sims 4 I legitimately miss that daily newspaper that used to annoy me so bleeping much 🗞
