Can I SAVE Nervous Subject in The Sims 2? Welcome to Strangetown! This is the beginning of our mini-series where we play all the premade households in a certain neighborhood and try to give the members what they deserve.
In this fun Sims 2 challenge video, we start the series off with the iconic Beaker family and I try to give Nervous Subject the life he deserves. Our success (or lack thereof) will mainly be based on how many wants we manage to complete for him, how well he does at work/school, the completion of various other milestones that we'll attempt throughout the video, as well as the overall level of wholesomeness. This time around, I decided to incorporate a bit more storytelling to breathe some drama into the game as I feel like Sims 2 and chaos just fit too well. I hope you'll enjoy this video and join me on the journey of helping our beloved Strangetown Sims :)

In my game, Circe just let Nervous go and meet his mom before she was gone. She almost broke up with her husband but then they had a daughter called Andromeda(she looked like Loki with his angry face lol). Loki had become a softer person in general because of her.

Finally my favorite video series! Nervous deserves happiness. Loki and Circe should get what they deserve. And about twins, in TS3 Into the Future in Oasis Landing live twins Atom and Ceres, in their bio it is stated that they are clones created by Loki. What if they are clones of one of their children? therefore, I suspect that children may still be perceived as experimental subjects

in my current gameplay Nervous stole the key for one of the bedroom, waited until Circe is off to work, then locked Loki in and set him on fire. Circe was heartbroken and decided to change her career to Paranormal (attempting to resurrect Loki). Nervous ended up with Pascal and moved out together to raise Pascal's alien baby. He also wanted to get a job in Military so he works in Military career and already lvl 4 I guess.

that's a very wholesome story for Nervous! nothing like mine lol in my gameplay, Circe and Loki had their own baby, which they very much loved. but experiments at Nervous expense continued, and one of those experiments included Circe being pregnant with Nervous (yes, to continue his "legacy" as a tool...). when the baby was born, Nervous became furious and finally decided to stand up for himself. at night, he took both babies outside and set the mansion on fire. he disabled the fire detectors before, so both Circe and Loki were unpleasantly surprised in their sleep. after the horror was done, Nervous took care of their babies. Since he's essentially "broken" after the experiments, he isn't employable so he asked his best friend Pascal to move in with his baby to help him out. thanks to their friendship, Nervous is slowly getting back to normal, including getting his original personality back. and his future is finally bright!

The reason of carpool and people not showing up on Nervous’ new lot might be because of both the community lot phone and residential mailbox are present on the lot at the same time. I think they are the objects that decide whether its a community lot or a residential. I am not sure though. Love your content!

I think the reason cars and pedestrians aren't appearing on that lot is because there are missing portals (possibly the creator of the lot deleted them). You can use Inge's portal revealer from MTS along with lot portals made buyable to check and fix this Sims 2 lot types aren't based on objects, OP is just wrong. Lot types in TS2 are internal and can only be affected by the changelotzoning cheat

Yess Nervous ran away and makes his life better. After Nervous, I make them adopt another "subject" from orphanage. I think that, they would have a soft spot for their children (even though they are psychos) and they always spoil their kids - well at least it was in my game - they had a biological daughter and she was pretty spoiled by them.

Hypnotherapy is actually practiced by modern psychologists. They don’t use pinwheels as far as I know, but they _do_ use structures with moving lights to guide the patient’s eyes back and forth. My therapist tried EMDR with me twice, but both times, she had to cut it short because it made me feel desperate to kill myself. However, I’ve heard that other people have benefited from it. In my case, I’m pretty sure I was just too far gone. For those who don’t know, EMDR is a form of hypnotherapy where the therapist transports the patient to a traumatic event from their past and tries to guide them through it. The goal is to essentially edit the memory to associate a different emotion with it by re-experiencing it in a different light. I know this doesn’t really relate to the video, but I wanted to clarify that use of hypnosis doesn’t discredit a therapist.

9:29 reminded me of a specific memory. I went to a special education school where we were often mistreated. Towards the end of the year, one of my classmates discussed his plan to transfer to another school, and the teacher told him that, due to his disability, he would be mistreated at his new school and come crying back within a month. About a week before the year ended, that same teacher broke his foot, and after he went home that day, he never returned. I suppose the teacher figured he could mistreat us however he wanted because he presumed we had nowhere else to turn to since we were disabled.

Tbh it’s so weird to play the Beakers in The Sims 3 due to Loki’s character in The Sims 3 bc in Aurora Skies he’s a literal child I’ve been following this series for a while now and you’ve got a quite unique playstyle, sort of a mix of creative liberty and wants-based, it’s super neat Side note: I legit thought in the beginning of the video, “well if they had children I’d probably name them after Loki’s children from The Sims 3 Into the Future, i e Atom and Ceres, but you’d need to have twins for that” AND THEN YOUR CIRCE GIVES BIRTH TO TWINS

Fun fact Loki and Circe actually have two genetically engineered twins in Sims 3 canon! A boy and a girl, their names are Atom and Ceres! :) They're moreso Loki's genetically engineered clones but yeah lmao!

Before I got rid of all my files I got nervous subject in a relationship with pascal curious. They got engaged at a fancy restaurant during a date, woohooed in the Photo Booth & they took care of pascals baby in a small house in strangetown :) I wish I didn’t delete it but it was killing my laptop lol

Strangetown is my fave hood- I’m so glad you’re doing this series! I forgot it’s gameplay and fully invested in it being a movie watching for this one 😂your filming is second to none! In my game I had Circe have babies whilst Nervous was still stuck with them- he went from test subject to in-house nanny/ free childcare and basically raised them really well whilst gaining all his skills, Loki and Circe didn’t notice because they were too wrapped up in their own careers. I then got him a job in military and after 3 promotions in 3 days moved him out into a rented apartment. Loki and Circe are really estranged from their kids who are super close to Nervous. I then made a sim “Luna Systeme” for Nervous and after a few dates they moved in together and got a cat. Now they also have a baby. He is now Nervous Systeme (I like the pun names). Loki and Circe just got pregnant again and unless their teenagers who remember being raised by Nervous help raise the new baby I can’t imagine it will have the best childhood. I also named Loki and Circe’s kids with Greek influence- Apollo and Selene :)

My favorite town in Sims 2. Too bad I either played with my own families or Specter's lot. I just love this abandoned gas station/service station. It really gives the desert feeling and happy that Nervous found here his new home. Although the mini-fridge outside the store is weird looking XD - would be better inside the store and the restroom had an urinal and a shower. XD Also Circe getting pregnant and giving birth to twins? NOW that was something I was not expecting! :O

In my head, he decided to camp outside bc at first he wasn’t sure if the station was actually abandoned so he only went inside when necessary. Also I agree the urinal would make much more sense but the build is based on the psp version and that one also only has a toilet haha

@@crazymarq4390 that sounds like a very good theory and fits with Nervous' character since he didn't want to be a bother to anyone and keeps himself away from the people due to shy nature. And too bad there's no urinal in the restroom in psp version - it would bring even more grim and gunk to the public restroom of an abandoned gas station (like in Silent Hill, haha) Is there a possibility to add the urinal to the residential lot like in The Sims 3? I don't quite remember... Nevertheless I just can't wait for part II! And more of the families especially Spooky Specter lot! :D

The storytelling and camera-work for this vid is off the charts. This series already started off strong but the work you've put in is amazing ✨ I, like most simmers, got Nervous together with Pascal. He fittingly adopted Bonkers the cat and is of course helping raise Pascal's alien baby. Loki and Circe also had twins for me and I named them after Loki's clones from Sims 3 (Atom and Ceres). I'm only about to start round 2 with Strangetown so not much has happened yet. I'm 16 rounds into Pleasantview 😂

Yep! Loki shows up in the store world Aurora Skies as a child with his parents and Erin. And one of his traits is family-oriented of all things like, bro what? His clones show up as future sims in Oasis Landing from Into the Future! They have a Plumbot friend in their household, so I might have Loki or Circe build a Servo to mimic that 😁

Usually I get Nervous to live with Pascal and his little Alien baby, they become the best power couple, and the Beaker family just loses their job, gets their everything repossessed, get divorced. Circe tries to get back with Vidcund who rejects her for someone else (either a Townie or my own creation).

Same and I didn’t even try, Loki for example would just keep gaining skill points bc of the Eureka benefit, Circe got a promotion through networking etc. It’s like they were working hard out of spite lmao, fingers crossed justice catches up to them soon! My theory is this: Nervous uses his law skills to humiliate the Beakers and strip them of the most important thing to them - their work. He saves the kids and adopts them as his own, maybe even finds some nice other Sim to settle down with, adopts a dog, and they live as a big happy family in their weird gas station home and Nervous can finally have the happy family life he wants and deserves 🥺❤️ Then he burns the Beakers house down because this is a CrazyMarq video lol

Wow multiple people in these comments pairing Nervous with Pascal I’ve never thought to do that. In my game I get Vidcund alien pregnant (obviously) and then he gets a servo robot wife cause he’s too weird for a sim to marry him and Pascal just seems to have single dad energy to me. I also got the beakers a servo to distract them and Nervous escaped and he now lives in the old military housing apartments with the Singles girls. Gonna marry him to Erin (Loki’s sister) to really annoy him and Circe!

Loving the cliffhanger❣ I have a prediction (wrote it down), and will see if it comes true in Part 2. Also, Nervous' escape was the chef's 💋❣ As for how I play Nervous and the Beakers is all over the place, because there are so many avenues to go down, but ultimately Nervous does always escape. Most often, in my game, it is by way of Pascal and him getting together. Sometimes, I have it happen with him moving in with Pascal, sometimes he moves back home with his mother, and Pascal moves in after his cousin goes to college), and other times I get surprised where the game takes me. As for the Beakers, I usually have them become evil witch & warlock, and from seeing a few others' gameplay, their next test subject becomes Bella Goth (although she usually escapes too). I do morbidly find the Beakers fun to play, because they always, at some point in time get the justice they deserve Muahaha! ☠ As for the scripted events, Strangetown's events are hard-coded, and inescapable, especially Nervous stuffing his face and seeing the roaches (even if you cheat his needs and aspiration levels). I even tried making him a teen (I do not recommend, it is glitchy and buggy), so I could have him walk to school (avoiding the incident altogether), but it either happened before he left, or upon his return. Also, I think I needed to add a mod to fix Nervous being able to have the carpool, when getting a job while still with the Beakers (it might be something in the coding that only changes if he is asked to move in somewhere)? 🤷‍♀️ I also had the same problem when aging him down to teen, but with the school bus. I truly do believe Strangetown must have been the devs favorite to make, because it does truly live up to its name❣👏

Strangetown episode, finally!! Love to see what will you do to everyone. Edit: finished watching and feels satisfied. It reminds me that in TS3, Loki has mad scientist parents too, and seemed have a little sister. But the fate of the sister is unknown since she was not into science at all. So I'm curious if these twins will ended up having some hunger games, which one become the scientist and the subject.....

I most recently had him (autonomously) get in a relationship with pascal curious, set the castle on fire after locking Loki and Circe in their bedroom and then escape to be with pascal ❤ they're married now and raising the alien kids happily together! However, him and Vidcund kept arguing and fighting, possibly BC vid still had that crush on Circe? So he and pascal were also arguing as a result. Eventually Vidcund moved out (lazlo was trying to stay out of it and just be a good uncle to the kids) and he moved into the beaker castle! .....and then very quickly died BC Loki and Circe's ghosts kept scaring him so frequently at night that he couldn't fulfil any needs lol. Edit: nervous also adopted the stray cat Kim before leaving the castle! The final straw was Loki yelling at her

@@crazymarq4390 Well I should probably clarify, Tohru is a girl but since it's a unisex name I understand 😂 it's really sad because Tohru had wonderful parents, very loving and caring, unfortunately her dad got sick and died when she was 3 years old. She was raised by her legend of a mother until she also died in a car accident when Tohru was 15. At first glance the anime looks like a typical, high school love triangle story, but once you get into it you see that it's really a story about processing emotions, dealing with trauma and finding a way to heal.
