I think the era of the Disney PopStar is over and this shows with Olivia and Sabrina. Olivia never signed with Hollywood records and Sabrina never charted until she left Hollywood and signed with Island Records.

It’s just a good platform for getting famous, period. Lots of work, lots of publicity, lots of connections.

Other pop stars that started with Disney was Britney Spears and Christina Aguilera as well as Justin Timberlake they all got their start on Disney's Mickey Mouse Club then transitioned into music

I’ve been a fan of Sabrina’s since 2015 and I can confirm that Hollywood Records was limiting her heavily. They lost their touch a while ago and the music they were helping her release just wasn’t what the mainstream was looking for at the time. She signed with them at the age of 12 and the contract stated she had to release 5 albums with them before either renewing the contract or being able to choose a new one. She said she obviously didn’t realize what she was doing at 12 and her parents really had no knowledge of what they were doing either so she was trapped. With her album Singular she split that into Act I and II so she basically benefited from that decision. Those albums were also where you could hear a shift in her style and voice. She was definitely exploring her sound more and figuring it out. Glad she managed to get out and signed with Island Records. She had a rocky start with that record label because at the time they were switching CEO’s and also weren’t making a lot to promote her and the other artist signed. It wasn’t really until nonsense and her brilliant idea of creating different outros that she was able to start gaining traction. Yeah it took her a lot of work but I’m so happy she’s become a more known. She’s also gained a lot of followers and increase in streams. She’s only going up from here! edit: yes she also gained attention from the drama that was happening during 2021 but it was just a lot of negative attention. She was getting threats constantly and I remember she even got threats under her birthday post on instagram. It was a really bad year for her

Well said! She definitely did not deserve the hate that she received. I am such a big fan of her music so I'm excited to see what else is in store since it's only the beginning of a great career for her right now!

Honestly the good thing working with Disney is you are set for ur career in music or acting because u can gain a audience that u can shift to ur music or other projects and Disney knows how to market there stars even if you don’t know there name you see there face honestly half the stars we have today all started from Disney Justin Britney zendaya Jenna Miley Demi Selena jonas brothers shia labuef like yes disney works all there stars like dogs but it truly really does pay off
@Keliforniamedia

Disney definitely knows how to market their stars, but also they probably have the highest number of child star breakdowns out of all the childhood networks. Probably due to the fact that most are being overworked as kids.
@st3458
@st3458 8 ай бұрын
@@Keliforniamedia honestly when it comes to like Miley and and Bella thorn and Lindsay Lohan I wouldn’t say they had a breakdown it’s just the started doing what other people there age were doing cuz they finally have the freedom to do as they please and not have to worried about being tied to a character they play on a kids channel now Demi lovato on the other hand yea she definitely had a breakdown from being overworked

The interesting thing of what Disney is actually doing when they manufacture pop stars is that they force these young actresses while they are in the formulative ages, before they can develop a sense of "self" impersonate, a perfect individual who is flawless and without any sins(opposite of desired outcome). Likewise, as I have said, this is during the formulative years, so the individual then, as they are going through life has a hard time determining what is the "acting personality" and what is the real personality. As they have not had time to develop It due to the psychological conditioning that Disney is engaged. What this causes the individuals psyche to do is to say "well the cookie cutter personality that I played on TV must have been acting. And so my real personality must be if I swing a 180° from this personality." Manufacturing the extreme individual.(desired outcome). That's why it "keeps" happening, purpose psychological conditioning to manufacture an "extreme" and impulsive individual with no "authentic" personality as they bounce between extremes not sure if what they are adopting is their own personality trait or that of the "characters" resulting in someone who says "I don't know how I feel because what I think i feel could be the "acting" and what I think I feel could just be my response of going 180 from this". Again resulting in an "unauthentic manufactured personality" that psychologically collapses

@@skylerloggins4902 the whole Sabrina/Olivia/Joshua incident. Sabrina and Josh receiving death threats and Olivia doing nothing to fix the rumors. She instead soaked up all the rewards. Invited to perform at events many dream about. Being nominated for awards despite only having like two songs out? Sabrina has worked hard for everything she has and to be trampled on is wrong. I get people make mistakes and even some very terrible mistakes but to write songs about another person simply out of spite or to harm another person’s reputation is wrong.
