Why Do American Bathrooms Have Gaps?

Real reason: Its cheaper and faster to just install them that way, cause you dont have do adjust anything to be sealed

Yea I think the newer places are kinda getting rid of it. I've noticed at airports they're more private now.

Please use ur head...there r already gaps in the bottom and top of toilet cubicles...if somebody passes out...u basically can see the person from the bottom...and as for illicit activities...every person doesn't need to sacrifice their privacy for some idiot to get caught

Not to mention, that does work anyway. People do illicit stuff in the bathroom literally all the time...and usually don't get caught.
