• Larry Elder - The Fath...
In their conversation, Zuby and Larry Elder tackle the pressing issue of fatherlessness in America, particularly in the black community. Elder highlights alarming statistics, such as 70% of black children growing up without a father in the home, and emphasizes the detrimental effects of father absence on poverty, crime, and education. They discuss the correlation between absent fathers and negative outcomes, citing examples from Tupac to crime statistics.
Elder challenges the notion that systemic racism is the root cause, pointing to historical data and personal anecdotes to underscore the importance of personal responsibility. He shares his father's inspiring story of overcoming adversity through hard work and determination. They also discuss potential solutions, such as mentorship programs and community involvement, to address the issue of father absenteeism and its far-reaching consequences. Overall, their conversation sheds light on the critical need for addressing fatherlessness as a fundamental social problem in America.

@user-ff8rs7gk6r ... no he didn't. Nothing specifically about the government replacing fatherless homes. Many people think that fathers aren't in the homes because they choose not to be. There's an aspect of that, but divorce rules in many places keep them out. It contributes to homelessness too. I mentioned the specific thing in my first response. You're not listening.

I really liked the story about Larry's father. My father never finished high school but he was also the smartest man I ever knew. He worked as a janitor at Illinois Bell while raising five children. My mother never had to work. Eventually, he bought a house and worked three jobs to keep up with the bills. We never heard him complain. We were poor but happy kids. My father was a devout Christian and he made sure we knew right from wrong. He was a strict disciplinarian but he read to us every night. He became a truck driver for the company and retired from Illinois Bell as a supervisor of transportation. He had a great sense of humor and was a well-respected member of his church.

You were fortunate. Mine was the opposite end. He was the smartest man he ever knew. a prolific and accomplished liar and general self-important fool. Standard issue public a school administrative stuffed shirt type. He lived a faultless life, because he knew exactly who was going to get blamed and how and why long before any problem ever showed up real or imagined. No matter who you were or what you did in life he knew your place and it was, of course, under him in his eyes.

I want to add there is nothing wrong with working at the loading docks but what a waste of intelligence. You got the world by the tail. It is but sadly people can’t get out of their emotions to see it. The number one issue in this upcoming election for women between 18-35 is abortion…. Abortion. All these issues in America and that’s the determining Factor of their vote. When you see the lunatic trans stuff that’s pushed by women. When you see the progressive policies as a whole it’s pushed by women. The break down of the nuclear family was caused by feminism. Women vote for politicians that make them feel good besides what they actually bring to the table and that’s why someone like Gavin Newsome is actually a threat. A charming handsome snake oil salesman who could actually become president. Men are pushing more to the right and women are pushing towards the left. Single women I mean. And this is why women need men to be leaders cause you’ll notice married women vote republican in high numbers

If you lived in the slums, then you are not afraid of your utterly powerless father. The James Evans of the world would not last long in reality. The wife or a son (when he comes of age) will cap them. Because again, the power structure that controls the slums is such that only preachers, barbers, liquor store owners and morticians are self-made independent men and therefore have some sort of power. The rest, intelligently, stay in the streets. The streets may kill, but the home will kill.

Larry’s story about his dad’s life is hands down amazing. I know many have had lives similar to how his father lived and wanted to work tirelessly to give their family a good life, but clearly not enough had a father as put together as Larry’s. I had a coworker who was black himself, and unfortunately grew up without a father. His grandmother raised him and got him involved in Boy Scouts. He hated it at first, being the only black kid and feeling like he stuck out in the crowd, but his grandmother took him regardless. He ended up meeting a few of the boys’ fathers in his troop, and some of them became mentors to him. They held him accountable, but more importantly gave him a place to belong and prosper. The things he learned there and from these scoutmasters trickled into other parts of his life. He told me most everything he knows about manhood and how to live a good, productive life was from Boy Scouts and his grandmother. He shared this with me when we both realized we’re Eagle Scouts, and I heard from a former coworker he passed away two years ago. Don’t quote me on this, but based on his age, I think he would’ve been one of the first black men to earn his Eagle rank in Florida. He told me something to the effect of “You can’t choose the family you want, but you can listen to those who can show you how to find the family you need.” I wish I could remember how he said it exactly, but it was in reference to his grandmother introducing him to the scouts, because she knew how important it was to have a male figure in his life. All this is a long-winded way of saying God bless those who have the courage to step out of their comfort zone, and God bless those people who mentor and act as a parent to those who are missing one of theirs.

Do you know who’s the Democrats Largest voting block….WHITE Ppl! A Majority of Jewish Americans vote Democrat, a majority of Asians vote Democrat, a majority of Muslim vote Democrat, a majority of Hispanics vote Democrat, a majority of the LGBTQ vote Democrat…..So why is everyone so OBSESSED with who Black ppl vote for 🤔….are all of them on the plantation or just the black ones? 🙄

The title to this video is the main reason they keep gaining more and more power. They scare their own people into compliance. We try to convince them otherwise, but we don’t scare them enough. It’s arguable whether we should try that tactic or not, and I don’t agree with that strategy, but sometimes you have to fight fire with fire.

I have always said if people really want to help the so called downtrodden it will take individualized attention and the teaching of how to deal with life and the basics from those who already have that knowledge. Modern day liberal would rather throw money that doesnt help at something and then give it lip service instead of doing anytihng that actually helps.

In the early 90's the black poverty rates started dropping drastically. Interesting note, hip-hop as an industry started taking off at that time. I'm sure the internet helped as well. When knowledge grew, so did peoples income. Also interesting is that it was the lowest ever in history under DT but previously rose greatly when under Hussein.

He’s conflating issues, homes without fathers in them and not involved in their children’s lives versus homes without in the fathers in them but still in their children’s lives. The numbers of fathers not in the homes but still involved in their children's lives is the highest percentage of any race. That’s a two fold conversation but he’s conflating the issues. He’s making the argument if a black man isn’t married to the mother of his children, not living in the home but he’s still actively involved in his children’s lives he’s still a deadbeat. He’s conflating the two issues. This is why you can’t believe him because he’s completely disingenuous.
