Why Do Cats Love Cardboard Boxes So Much?

About 40 years ago while I was working at the naval base my wife found a 4-5 week old kitten at our apt. door. She never grew up with any animals. She went right to Walmart and purchased everything and we had our first child. Boo kitty loved boxes and we had a large 3 BR apt. I made what my wife called - The Kitty Condo. It filled most of an empty BR & was 4-5 stories tall. We ended up with a 2nd kitty after I left the sliding glass door open on a weekend. Boo kitty brought home a girlfriend to share his kitty condo. They were so funny and full of play. Thanks for the video it brought back great memories.

Maybe you should order a bunch of boxes from Amazon. Then your cat will have the box the order came in plus several others to play in. I have seen KZbin videos posted by channels about people's cats in which they actually bought a bunch of cardboard boxes just for their cats to play in. Of course if you really wanted to do this it would be easier to buy the boxes at a local retail store.

@@Smilingpetworld One of the videos I referred to was titled "Cats' reaction to 9 boxes" by the channel Catz Club (yes they use a "z" in the word "Catz" instead of "s"). I thought there was another one by the channel Cole and Marmalade but I couldn't find one involving several boxes at once. They do have one called "A cat's guide to boxes". Sadly however Cole passed away a few years ago but they still have videos with him.

I go through a few boxes a month for my guys and girls, when I go shopping I pick up the ones they put out produce in, they like them the best and if they have holes in he bottom or sides that's even better, they try to pull their toys through the holes in the side and wrestle with that for a while, they fall asleep in it the holes on the bottom are perfect for them to get their nails in and claw.
