I am chinese from SEA and have many encounter with people my age from China. They were so obnoxious and rude, one even had the nerve to wait for me in the condo she rented to me at 11 pm without asking my permission. When I came back and asked what she was doing in the condo, like a gangster she asked me to pay for her air conditioner repair of $650. She had bought it from an auction and the air conditioner was 20 years old. I had to call the cops on her. I couldn't believe her brazen behavior, shouting and banging the table to intimidate me. It make sense from this documentary as they grew up in the cultural revolution. The uneducated oppressing the educated.

I am a flight attendant and I was doing this flight to China one day, I can’t remember where exactly. I was pushing the cart up to change because I ran out of trays and this Chinese old lady (in her 50s-60s) just lacked the patience for me to switch despite me already informing them that I would be back. She threw a temper and whacked the cart to show her displeasure. Tbh that was the first time I encountered such behaviour, the Chinese passengers are usually quite well behaved (I work for a non-Chinese airline so I don’t really see the behaviours displayed like in viral KZbin videos) so I was rather shocked and mildly annoyed. I’m coming back with more food, there’s gonna be food can’t you just wait like 2 minutes to top up 🤦🏻‍♀️

That's not it. The thesis here is that these people were Red Guards when they were young - they were Mao's private army. 😢This type of behaviour has existed in China long before the revolution. The purpose of the revolution was to shake off the old belief but it didn't help much. Perhaps CCP needs another revolution to educate these rude people. CCP can always learn from its neighbour - the Japanese.
