I seen you in Nashville Dale! I was the one that said I love your videos and I do! They have helped me become a great turkey hunter. Nobody would ever show me anything, or take me with them! It’s like good fishing spots. Everyone wants to keep the secrets to themselves. I really appreciate you taking the time to teach us, I would still be lost without your wisdom!

I grew up hunting in the Ozark mt of Missouri during a fantastic era. The 1970s along the current river hunting turkeys was such a blast with my dad and brothers. We would camp for a week and split up hunting 1000s acres and never see a hunter in the woods. I dont hear others talk about using a gobbler call , safety issues maybe , but ive seen where that was what got em killed when nothing else would,,, it would be same for all of us. Favorite memories were the morning stories from each other. Thankfully hunting ended at noon,, maybe still,,,. Since we only hunted for a week it was noticeable how different the birds were from one year to another , we hunted steady for about 15 years learned alot between the 4 of us. Enjoy your vids ,have a great season

The Haint gobble call has worked for me a few times.

The Mark Twain in the 80's was awesome. Nothing like turkey camp in the Ozarks.

Dale thank you so much for all you do for us. I became a much more knowledgeable and successful turkey hunter since I started following your channel. And now I'm bringing your education to my baby sister who will be joining me on the upcoming season. Greetings from Ontario, Canada!

Great tip!!!!! Thanks

I have had that happen & it was because the gobbler tip-toed in & saw me, and then snuck out. I did see him but he had already seen me & the next time he gobbled he was back down in the hollow.

Great Advice. Yes knowing the terrain and making that move, with just a little bit of doing your homework can put You in their travel route.

I’ve been in all of these scenarios. And I agree, if you’re hunting public land and have a lotta ground to work with- make a move. However Most guys hunting private land have small parcels to hunt where trying to loop around on a turkey may not be an option. Like, say, 50 acres. Good luck to all this season. 🤙🏻

Them small properties are a different type of hunt. Theres videos on this channel that discusses that

@daleoutdoors17 I pass on the knowledge to my son inlaw and grandson. And 2 young guys at work, but that's it. So many turkey hunters where I live , you need some secrets to be successful with such high pressured birds. Have fun this season!

Because he saw something he didn't like OR he found a fence, cow trail, creek, ditch or pasture road he didn't want to cross. Sometimes they do get nervous because they have had a bad experience with a call similar to yours.

There’s other reasons than the 2 that was mentioned in the video but can’t talk about everyone in a short form video lol. The two discussed in this video are very common though

I’ve had them come to me maybe get 200 yards out and stop gobbling and after about 20 minutes then there he is. So sometimes they will go quiet on u so don’t be to hasty about jumping up and moving somewhere else

Hens coming to the incoming gobbler has messed me up more than anything else in that scenario. One entire season at 2 of my spots I would have mature toms coming in and a group of 4 to 7 jakes ran them off. Happened a bunch of times during the season. Frustrating but fun to watch and listen to and causes me to break my own rule and I shot a jake. Great video Matt

Do you notice that some Toms will come in close and go to a mating spot or dusting place where they go normally in a areaAa
