Comparing myself to others reached a boiling point 1 night while I was watching a prophetic meeting and as I saw how God was speaking over others I started to become so jealous and envious, to the point where I started to fight with God and became bitter toward Him, but God's whispers brought me to my senses and with remorse I began to hate myself for speaking to God like this and I said to Him that I was so pathetic and unworthy of His calling by evidence of how I just reacted toward Him, But God still being with me, calmed my heart down and showed me that the reason I became so angry and bitter was because I was seeking Approval and Acceptance and that I would compare myself to others to prove that I was better than them, which I would then use to show that I was worthy of something. He then showed me that all of this stemmed from a root of rejection, which existed because God's love was missing from the heart of my soul, and that once I let Him take that away and allow His love to replace the void, all of this would disappear. Since then, as I did what God had shown me, as He said it would, all of those evil ways began to disappear and I now can celebrate the accomplishments of all the works that are being done through our brothers and sisters around the world 😊

Thank you for posting this, I definitely believe this one was for me. I have actually started leading a Christian Union at my university (launched 3 weeks ago) and sometimes I can't help but look at other great men and women of God, or even other university's Christian Unions, like they have about 50 people, and I have around 7. When I do so, it's like I lose myself and become unsure, as in Was I really called to start this Christian Union? I'm not even a good speaker... Am In the right one to pick up this calling? What if many people are not coming because I came at the wrong time? And it really hurts my heart and my way of thinking. Thank you so much for posting this, I really agree with the contentment point, that it's important to celebrate the beauty of small beginnings. Please pray with and for me! I feel you on that comparison. Just found you today from your bro and if you don't hear this enough brother. Your doing good, if I compared myself to you I would tell myself the same thing, that I could never preach like you, but the fact that we are not all created equal is how God shows his creativity. He made us exactly how he needed us to be as long as we do our part.
