I have had all kinds of cars, fast cars, pretty cars, ugly cars....but i always, ALWAYS go back to the jazz, its such a brilliant car, the "magic" back seats can pretty much make it into a escort van...the jazz has never... ever failed to start...and 40 quid to fill up and can easily get 2 working weeks out of it... before i need to fill it again! I honestly not going to get any other car from now on.....ALSO...Honda do a pet cage that will fit the jazz boot beautifully....so will pets world...for you dog owners!

Just bought a Jazz, 2008, same blue... CVT... It is awesome, the sense of freedom you get, having a car that no-one looks at, which nips about happily and reliably. Makes me feel 17 again, having my first car and feeling like the world was mine to explore. Makes you wonder why us petrol heads put ourselves through the stresses/worries of having cars that cost £**,000's

Both my sister and her boyfriend have Honda Jazz's (2008 and 2017 respectively). My sister uses hers for her dog walking business and has had custom dog crates installed in the back (with the rear seats permanently down). She can transport 4 dogs, each with their own cage and plenty of space. It's like a minivan, amazing really. I drive a MK9 Civic which I can also recommended as a cheap reliable daily that shares the same magic seat feature as the Jazz.

Just got a Honda jazz which is exactly like this one, same year and colour, only difference is that it’s got a sunroof. It’s so much nicer than I was expecting from my budget after an accident I had in my 2017 Peugeot 108 that was written off ironically from a white van smashing into the side of it last month

I've got one on a 2004 and it is awesome!!! Whilst people are looking at me with disdain in any car park. The £500 per month it saves me, affords me the luxury of spending 17 weeks of this year in hot and sunny countries. Also when a lane is closed and everyone is fighting to get in to one lane. I automatically get right of way as its very apparent to anyone that a scrape on my Jazz won't be the end of the world for me 😂
@howardsellick8307 Жыл бұрын
My sister had a jazz similar age to yours and had to get rid of it as it was costing too much in maintenance, (my sister's a bit rough with it), it had bumps and scrapes all over it. She loved it so much she wanted another one! She went and bought a new hybrid as a single woman wanted a car that didn't need work on it all the time. She really loves this car! In Zimbabwe, jazzes,(fits out here), are used as illegal taxis and regularly carry 10 to 12 people! They are amazing cars

I've had my 2011 Jazz for two years. Brilliant car. Possibly the most useful car I have ever owned. It is a magnet for scrapes though. I have had 7 hits in two years (The first and worst was on my third day of ownership when a van ran into the back of me. It attracts scratches like nobody's business though.

Still driving my 2007 Honda Fit. Best car I ever owned. No mechanical problems until this year when the air conditioner conked out--at least $1,500 to fix it. It was a hot summer, but, as I waited and waited for 2024 Chevy Trax that I ordered to ship, the more I began to feel like I'd miss my Fit if I switched, so I wound up cancelling the order. Clearly, I'll need to give up on my Fit before too long, but not just yet.

My elderly mother has a jazz and loves it. It's definatley functional. A head purchase rather than a heart purchase. The only thing I really dislike is the steering which is appalling. There's no castor so you're constantly having to steer in a straight line.
@DontPanicDear2 жыл бұрын
My Mum had one and the steering was great! I drove it years later, and it was as you describe. While driving erratically, she does crash down pot holes and curb the wheels a lot, so I put it down to that.

Hi Tim. I hope you find this comment on an old video. My 2004 jazz is finally going to the big scrapyard on the sky. Lots of welding required. Ive absolutely hammered the poor thing, dragging tons of match fishing gear all around the country. It really is like a little van with the seats down. Anyway, I trust your opinions on things, so wondered if youd give me a shortlist of used cars that I should look at with a budget of just 5k. Reliability is a key concern, as disposable cash is at a premium, but mainly I need it to be a van in a cars clothing. Going to look at a 2013 c3 picasso tomorrow, plenty of space in that. What would you be looking at and what would you avoid?! Thanks mate keep up the awesome content

We have two Jazzes, an 06 and a 13 reg. Brilliant cars. The problem with the jazz is the brakes, I mean the rear disk brake/handbrake. They are supposed to be self adjusting as a handbrake, but they really are crap and are poor and that's why a good number of them, if not put into first gear when parking won't hold and just roll backwards and crease up the boot lid/bumper. But, don't let that put you off the jazz, simple solution is to make sure you put it in first gear whenever you leave the car so it w'ont move. Some jazz owners are even putting drum brakes on the back which are better for the hand brake and generally self adjust better than the disc brake type.

Had ours in the family for 10years and over 130,000 miles later it’s still going strong with everything working. Can’t get anything more reliable for the money really, the cvt is quite boring but takes the miles with ease, hoping to get it to 150k before the end of next year.

What`s a Jag gonna do that the Jazz doesn`t (look really cool on my driveway) but no, and in 7 years, it`s cost me (get ready for this) £320 in maintenance. both times on brakes. yeah it`s not the most glamorous looking car, but by god is it reliable!

Car Insurance, road tax and the cost of garage repairs has gone through the roof in the last 12 months. and for those who need a car for absolutely essential use it's going to get much more difficult to stay on the road. When the dreaded MOT comes due and you have to pay for silly failure faults, brake adjustments, wiper blades, bulbs, etc and you are going to have to look at the size of car you really need rather than the glossy flash status symbol which will soak up your family holiday fund.
