Awesome video and speech! I got my hairloss "diagnosis" from my barber during my freshman year at college, which set the tone for my entire time there. I remember it all like it was yesterday; walking to class with my head hung low so that the wind wouldn't reveal my receding hairline; constantly checking my hair in the mirror, as if keeping my eye on it would stop it from falling out; waking up and checking my pillow to see how much came out overnight. It was an ongoing nightmare. And worst of all, I felt like I was the only one. If only your channel existed then! Thanks for always putting yourself out there for the rest of us.

I'm not even balding but I love what you have to say about insecurity in general and just giving confidence back to guys. When you say that you're now walking around as the very picture of the man that your younger self did not want to become, it really makes me think. Despite shaving your head to avoid your fears and keep confidence, now you have fully embraced the fears and lived them out fully, and you're loving it! I was rocking the balding hair for almost 20 years before going bald and I didn't feel insecure most of the time. But I wanted the shaved head look only because I had tried it before and I liked the feel of shaved/buzzed hair. However I can say I felt less insecure in my balding hair than with a shaved head(each time I decided to shave it). Then I found your channel where you say you can be confident bald so I took the step. So your channel did help me. However I found out that the bald buzzcut suits me more than the razored head, so that's what I'm going with. And since I'm confident with my balding hair I don't have a schedule buzzing my hair, I just do it whenever I feel. Anyway, happy new year everyone!

What a powerful video! Well done mate this was spectacular. You've shown that true bald acceptance goes beyond just shaving your head, what it really means is maintaining your self worth whatever your hair looks like. Obsessing over shaving/buzzing can be damaging too, it was in my case. In my opinion you've gone beyond just the balding issue, this speaks to overcoming the overall human experience of insecurity and just concentrating on living your life to the maximum. Taking your insecurities, whatever they may be, head on, improving yourself and concentrating on things that make you happy. It's important to take care of yourself sure but also very important to remember your worth isnt dependent on a characteristic or a change in your appearance. The hair actually ended up looking quite decent too!

Keep it flowing, man. I’m in a very similar situation. I met with a dermatologist and discussed options, and when I left, I just thought - what am I doing? Why should this matter? These are my genetics. This is how it is. Yes, I can alter it a bit, but not forever, and it would come at a price - the known cost, as well as the definite as well as potential side effects. I just sort of said, F it. I should focus on my health, my vocation, my life satisfaction over all, not clinging to transient youth and vanity. My thinking just evolved. Embrace the skullet. Flaunt it. Cultivate confidence over more important areas of life. Many women have told me flat out that they are more attracted to confidence than mere appearance - and certainly found obsession over appearance to be off putting and frankly un-masculine. They want strength and manliness and certitude, and those are our natural best assets, when we refine them.

I think a good video/next step would be to purchase a hair system and wear it for a month or two, simply to showcase to people how stressful it actually is. alot of people get one or think having one will make the problem go away however it actually only makes you even more hyper aware of it ("can people tell" "is it see through" "has it moved" the cost, the maintenance etc etc) I think people would actually listen to what your experience of one is and that it most likely is just another way to create worries for yourself! I actually really wanted one for the past 2 years, however after realizing all this i'm pretty grateful that I've lost that urge. I think others would benefit from being given this same peace of mind too! :)

As someone with a slightly receded or mature hairline, but an otherwise full head of hair, I admire you and am inspired by you so much. Not only have you created a wonderful community for men who need support going through a difficult change, but you are just a nice dude who makes excellent content. Much love✌️
